"Listen gooners . cesc is going to man utd , a real chance of winning things"

Yeah the first time it was funny. The second time, not so much. What is this now, the fourth or fifth post you've made saying exactly the same thing each time? It's pretty tired now, let it go.

RING RING, RING RING

"Hi Arsene, its Sir Alex here. I was just ringing to enquire about Cesc's Availability and price?"
"Why that's incredible Sir Alex i was literally picking up the phone to call you enquiring about Vidic's and Rooney's availability."

This is about as close to a real rumour as it gets when suggesting cesc is going to any other English Premier team he wouldn't go we wouldn't sell. Get real

Real rumour though Arshavin in swap deal for Honda. Maybe some cash involved to going towards Honda's price.

Plus Mertersacker and Steklenberg giving big hints at there availability to Arsenal though personally i expect neither signature

Just a bit of info I heard, it's up to you guys what you do with it. Rafa Benitez to be next Arsenal boss as Wenger to leave to have some part with the French national team. Like I said, it's up to you what you do with it but I got 33-1 and for the sake of a fiver. . . . .

Ok time for some realism.

all this talk of Clichy leaving is actually stupid. just because he hasn't signed a new contract doesn't mean he is stallling on one. don't read too much into newspaper speculation people. a contract extension will be signed in the summer. Gibbs is not ready to become his replacement just yet. as some of you have already mentioned, Gibbs is way too injury prone. he also still needs to work on his defensive side of his game.

sorry to dissapoint but I don't actually believe Wenger will buy a new centreback. Konscielny, Djourou and Vermaelen are considered by Wenger as top class centre backs and Squillachi is seen to be suitable cover. he is happy not being first choice and I can't see him leaving after just one season (as much as I want him to as I find him as awful as Senderos). Only way Wenger will buy a new centre back is if Vermaelen fails to recover from his injury by the next pre-season. then my guess is Sakho will come in. typical signing from the French league. Don't count of Gary Cahill. he's needed but won't be bought. he's off to Liverpool.

more bad news is that Wenger isn't bringing in a new keeper either. he has complete faith in Szczesny and will remain Arsenal number one. Wenger believes he is class and in fairness he hasnt done much wrong and can only get better. Fbianski will be his number 2 as Wenger has screamed at the media that he believed he will become world class. Mannone in as number 3. Almunia is DEFINITELY out the Emirates door. everyone says to spain but he loves life in England and will go to a smaller Prem team.

Denilson will not be sold. he will be sent on a season long loan to a Premiership side to prove himself, similar to what has been done with Vela. Rosicky won't be sold and will play to the end of his contract. then will leave on a free. Frimpong will be promoted to the first team squad as cover for song. not a bad thing as i believe he has great quality. he should have been with the first team this season but a serious injury put him back.

Ryo Miyaichi will join the first team. quality player. his good performances whilst on loan have made Wenger decide that Hazard is not needed. Hazard was seriously being looked at but with all the media attention his price tag has gone through the roof and out of Wenger's depth. Hazard is no doubt off to Real Madrid. dissapointing as I would have loved to have seen him at the Emirates.

Bendtner is off for definite. a spot on the bench is not good enough for his ego. and Bendtner is not good enough for Arsenal. Germany seems a likely destination. a striker will definitely be brought in. Benzema is a no go due to his crazy wages he is on. remember Wenger will not break the wage structure. my big prediction is that Lukaku will come in. He was originally calling for Chelsea to come and get him but it seems Roman is set on bringing Neymar to Stamford Bridge.

well that's my realism for u right there. thanks for reading the essay.

"{Ed002's Note - Arsenal can set whatever price they wish for the player - but it is entirely irrelevant unless someone pays it. Your analogy is not meaningful. In negotiating the transfer of a player, no buying club will take in to account the value of an unrelated transfer between two clubs in a different country.}"

Ok yeah, I get what you're saying: the value only becomes a value if someone will pay it. It takes two to tango, of course. All I'm getting at though is that if Arsenal don't want to accept £35m then they won't, and there's nothing Barca can do about that. And I'm sure we can all agree that they shouldn't be selling for the equivalent price of Andy bloody Carroll! :)

{Ed002's Note - I expect it will be down to negotiation and will drag out most of the summer. It will also depend what was said or promised to the player last summer. The worst case scenario is Arsenal having a PO player on their hands, or the only acceptable bid coming from Manchester City and the player not wishing to make the move.}

Entirely true. Everyone seems to take into account that Torres cost 50 million and Carrol cost 35 million and Ronaldo and Kaka were 80 and 55 respectively.

The fact remains that Barcelona have a leverage just as much as arsenal do and just as much as cesc does.

They know the only club he will play for besides arsenal is them. So a ridiculous bid from Real madrid is non relational.

Arsenal would like to use the lenght of his contract to command a higher fee and use leverage on his captain status.

Cesc would feel arsenal have not done much to bring in talent to help him win. and another winless season may just help him put in that transfer request again. This time wenger has no excuses.

The fact remains that Barcelona chased fabregas last year that a prime target like Oezil slipped their hands and landed in madrid. But for them the priority is the harmony of blending fabregas with his friends and add to the fact he is a world class talent.

There have been reports as to how fabregas would fit into barcelona. If he's good enough and soo on.

Arsenal have undervalued his services to not build around him. Barcelona view him as the final piece to a world class midfield, which is already the best.

The fact remains that barcelona are not trying to take fabregas as a sub as most think. you don't chase a playe this hard for over 18 months and use him as a sub. He will start in a similar role he plays for arsenal. .advanced just behind the strikers.

Think of it this way. Fabregas has a goal scoring record better than iniesta, xavi, sneijder, oezil. And his assists ratio is probably second or third to the barca duo.

Denilson, Rosicky, and Almunia will be sold. Diaby will stay as Wenger still has faith in him becoming more consistent as he matures.

a defensive midfielder, center back, and goalkeeper will be purchased. however, these purchases will not be anything too special and will just be purchased to add much needed depth to those 3 positions.

no midfield replacement for Rosicky will be required as the extremely talented Ramsey will be fit.

Hazard will not be purchased as Arshavin's long term replacement because he is overly hyped now and will command too large of a price tag. instead, Ryo Miyaichi will be promoted to the first team bench. not to worry about missing out on Hazard as Miyaichi is the most talented teenager Arsenal has ever signed and will be twice the player Hazard will turn out to be. Wenger missed out on signing CRonaldo many years back but he did not miss out on signing Miyaichi. all i can really say is sit back and wait for this youngster. he may not have the media attention yet but he will soon enough.

OH MY GOD, why do people consistently say that fabregas will leave for 45 mill plus bojan and mascherano or maxwell and abidal. you lot are absolutely pathetic to think like that. just to make you and other arsenal fans feel better, you make up a remark and try to get every arsenal fan to believe it. then you have this weird feeling it will come true. you lot like in teletubbie land.

if fabregas leave it will be for 35 million tops with maybe a academy player. THAT is it. barcelona are not MUGS to be paying stupid amounts and adding on a couple world class players.
you boys have become soo desperate its unreal.
