Hey Ed's,
Hope your all well.
Can I just ask Ed 02 if you are aware of any details of the Guendouzi deal to Marseille as we've all heard there's an agreement in place for a permanent deal for a fee between €9-€12M.
I know we've done extremely well recently with regards to outgoings, as highlighted by a fellow poster on the banter page, but I still have a concern around how Arsenal negotiate and put a value on some of it if outgoings.
Auba and Ozil of course are obvious in that they went for free and the perception was we would save on wages, a mess all of our own doing originally.
But I do have concerns over deals like this and the Torreira one where our public urgency to be rid of an unwanted type of player diminishes his value when they are performing well about the rumoured sale price.
Other teams seem better at selling unwanted assets for surprisingly large fees at times and I'm curious about your opinion specific to Guendouzi at least.

{Ed002's Note - I can confirm that on July 1 Guendouzi will formally become a Marseille player under an obligation to buy. The player is very pleased with joining Marseille and fears they would sell him on for a profit have gone. Arsenal have struggled with selling players due to overpricing and not negotiating well - hence Granit Xhaka did not join Roma and Arsenal gave him a nice new contract. They have made errors with buying (Pepe is the best example) and have ended up in a situation where they need to buy two strikers in the summer.}

Arsenal have also struggled selling players due to the C.V. - as have many other clubs. It's only fair to acknowledge every side of the issue; it's not all the result of incompetence (though that certainly has played its part) .
