CONFIRMED: Carzola arrives i London tommorow and will be signing on Thursday for a fee of 15.9 mill. pounds.

I have it under good authority that the transfer fee AND personal terms are agreed with Santi Cazorla. Once medical is completed the deal is set to go through.
Maybe they were waiting for the Cazorla deal to go through to unveil M'Vila at the same time? (For the record I'm sure the M'Vila deal will go through, still).

Alan McGregor from Rangers still a possibility Ed? I've not really been following his progress. I could see him as a really good back up for Szczesny, give him the challenge that he seems to need.

Also, any news of a left-back? I just dont see Gibbs being up for the job of first team left- back.

Cazorla deal is clearly a hot topic, and lets hope its true - This could be a massive signing alongside 2 big names already captured. 1 more MIGHT sway our want away captain!

I dont see M'Vila deal happening especially with the progress of Diaby during pre-season, however the knock of Wilshere not being back until October may force Wengers hand.

I dont see Arsenal buying a left back with Gibbs and Santos in the ranks, although it wouldnt be a bad decision to buy a left and right back! Central defense is a solid unit if we can keep injuries to a minimum!

I hope this isnt the end of Wengers transfer raid and we continue to see some big name signings join our ranks.

Also, need to shift some of our failed stars to enable future investment.

Complete nonsense. I doubt we will get either Cazorla or M'Vila & Gibbs is a decent player, he just needs an injury free run. However, I prefer him playing in midfield, rather than at Left Back.

Im sure cazorla will sign. i doubt mvila though, wanyama looks a much more realistic target at the moment. im not sure but i think mcgregor signed for besiktas?

Craig Gordon as a back up keeper he's a quality keeper on a free and would job the job if he was to cover WS. Cazorla,mvila or Sahin with RVP going would still be a good summer for us. Makes a change from signing cheaper alternatives who never make the cut

ALLAN MCGREGOR HAS SIGNED FOR ANOTHER CLUB

I wasn't following the progress of McGregor so I wasn't sure what was going on on that front. M'Vila I still am pretty certain will happen. Despite Diaby having a good pre season I think you always run the risk of him getting injured. And I don't think that he's a holding midfielder- he's at his best going forward IMO.

Gibbs is OK, but if he is going to improve he needs to do it fast. He doesn't seem to have gotten any better in the last couple of seasons (I know its hard to judge as he has hardly played). Gibbs, like Santos is very shaky defensively and I think what we need more is stability from our back four.

I'm not being negative at all. I stated my opinions, what I have heard and what I think should happen. On top of which I wouldn't say that we need another right back. I think that Sagna is the best in the league and one of the best in the world. Jenkinson is underrated as well, I think he'll grow in to a superb player. Excellent spot once again Arsene.

Really? PSG reject? And no better than Djourou? Wake up! Do you have any actual knowledge of Sakho? Was he not Captain of PSG? He's a solid defensive unit that can torment the opposition and is able to play both CB and RB - RB , a position that needs addressing seeing as Sagna is ageing, and injured, and one in which Jenkinson is not ready take just yet, oh and one which Djourou cannot play either. Look at the stars PSG are bringing in. There just another big money spending power house so of course they're going to have to try and ship players out. Wenger has been eyeing Sakho for a long time, so if by any chance this rumour is true then PSG would be looking for a replacement first off and trying to push Sakho out.

Erm he plays cb and left back as he is left footed!,he was captain until psg's new owners took over and has been a bit part player ever since mainly covering lb due to alex and lugano being the prefered cb partnership.would be a good signing,would add height and strength to our backline and defensive stability,hes better than gibbs and santos and still only 22.sign him

He is world class.I've wanted us to sign him for years.I'm sure he was captain from the age of 17/18 ish very young whatever age he was.he is an awsome cb and lb basically Frances version of micah Richards..but left footed..I see him as a must for our squad.let him and tv5 fight it out for cb with kos and the other lb..if one more signing I could choose it would be chiek tiote or lassara diarra for dm.our defence needs protecting from our very attacking minded play

My apologise, he can play LB not RB. Nevertheless he would be better than Santos who is more attacking minded and someone who Gibbs can compete with in that position. Is Djourou still being looked at by an Italian club or is that move now off? If Djourou does leave then a move for Sakho would be silly to turn away from.
