This is for Ed022
please tell us,if we are going to negotiate with Affellay or Llorente??are we after DE Jong as well???? {Ed022's Note - No on Llorente, and I am not too sure on Affelay or De Jong. Last time I checked Arsenal weren't overly interested in De Jong, and Affelay was told by Barcelona that he is in their future plans. You never know though.}

Agbonlahor to join within two weeks, Nzonzi and Hoillett to come in with Dempsey. No players from outside the prem for Wenger. No fancy midfielders as Frimpong and Wilshere will be utilised and Rosicky has been in good form hence contract extension. Nzonzi and Hoillett will happen in the next three weeks. The signings will be completed and no one else is coming

Believable10 Unbelievable32

Who told u this ?

Agree0 Disagree0

I have a contact within Blackburn they run an advertising and promotion company who assist with Kit literature (new shirt launches etc). They will not feature in the new kit promo photos for new sponsor. That is where the Blackburn link comes from and "apparently" the other rumours are linked into the news surrounded by Nzonzi and Hoilett.

Agree0 Disagree0

No players from outside the premier league?

Someone needs to tell podolski that....

D

Agree0 Disagree0

If thats the truth i am gunna be seriously f****d off!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope not this will be no where near good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

Agbonlahor is a non-starter. He's been mediocre for an eternity and he's not so young anymore. Nzonzi might be a cheap option, but I don't see Wenger only buying him and hoilett for free if he's readying to spend f*** you money this summer to convince RVP to stay. If he does check out of the M'vila deal for a cheaper option, it means he's eyeing a new central playmaker with convincing talent. a Belhanda would be nice, but I wouldn't say no to Dzagoev, either.

Agree0 Disagree0

Worst rumour on here.

Also btw Rosicky started playing well AFTER his contract extension...he essentially blackmailed the club. Arsene said in an interview this/last week that Rosicky's form was not a coincidence, it happened after he signed the extension and the club just didn't announce it for a while.

This is for Ed022
I've been told we are after M'Vila by the world and his wife. I remember last summer you were in the know, can you tell us who you know us to be in for? we need some hope... also could you stick your answers in rumours. thanks
N1FFOX {Ed022's Note - There is confirmed interest in M'Vila from Arsenal, and he remains a possibility for Arsenal, and I must say he is a very good player. I've also Player-Profiled him over at www.player-profiles.co.uk if it helps mate. There is also pretty serious interest in Vertonghen as you know, and I'm not sure that he will join Spurs as everyone seems to think.}

Believable11 Unbelievable3

I like Ed022 and 027 {Ed027's Note - thanks, and hmm Ed022 has always said he thinks Arsenal would sign Verthongen

Agree0 Disagree0

M´vila is injured.. Lets grab him now, Great player

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah i think i read somewhere that ed022 is a scowser supporter but if were honest hes a scowser that keeps us informed so ya got to like him (as scouser supporters go anyways lol). Ed 027 the stressy at times gooner... and who can blame him (If he is a gooner that is) I get stressed thinking about the what if's let alone the questions and maybes.

Just want to say thanks to all Ed's for the hard work and im not being a kiss arse but this is how i "try to wind down after work" but often fail so nuch appreciated.

Gavsta {Ed027's Note - lol yh i get that a lot, and thank you we all really appreciate it

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed theres been rumours saying that verts to spuds is practically done is that true plus what ur forts of rvp do u think he is staying {Ed027's Note - i think it is, as Verthongen wants them, i think the fee is the problem, Ajax keep pushing it up, as "big" clubs are interested. RVP loves Arsenal, London, his family are the same, but he wants trophies, and he will sign if we show some ambition, i think if he signs a new deal i will be stress free, and it has to be sign of good things to come

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably less likely now ,bad ankle having a scan later tonight acc to TF1,poss out of Euros

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't remember us ever outbidding another club for a high profile player, and certainly not a central defender. It would take some serious about-face for Wenger to steal Vertonghen off the shelf. Especially because I don't think anyone knows if we could successfully offload Djourou.

Agree0 Disagree0

How many eds are there? {Ed022's Note - About 30 mate.}

Reports from Germany are saying that arsenal are going to place a £25 million bid for mario gotze and with 2 players going the other way

Believable28 Unbelievable17

Where did you get this info?

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably bendter and Arshavin

Agree0 Disagree0

Really can't see it what sources in Germany. Seen the posts for last few days but zilch in the British media.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont mean to be the bad 1 here but have you guys not seen the trend on here this month? 1 Person makes up a story about a player that they have seen a stupid link to then the rest of the forum goes mental stating there in the know and its going to happen.

Just take it like your dinner, add salt and devour, after 30mins you are longer full up and can devour some more =]

Gavsta

Agree0 Disagree0

Mario Gotze is going nowhere. Dortmund is under no pressure to sell, and in what bizarro land does his value ever drop below 25 mil? He's nineteen bloody years old.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have tried to sell Bendtner to Dortmund in the past so if we were after any of their players I imagine he would be part of the deal. To be honest I think we're probably more likely to get Lewandowski than Goetze, if we miss out on Giroud.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bendtner apparantly is interesting clubs in Germany, and I have read before that Dortmund are keen to bring him in. Could be a 'small' element of truth perhaps. Chelsea get Hazard. Man United get Kagawa. Arsenal get Gotze. lets bow our heads and pray

Agree0 Disagree0

As for 25mil, bendtner would be valued between 6.5 and 8 million pounds. If arshavin is the other player in question like this rumour seems to indicate, he'll be worth around 5-7million pounds. But that I'm suspecting that still won't be enough as I'm thinking that dortmund will want the equivalent of at least 40-45 million pounds. The move would happen if i was in charge, but for the stingy p---- wenger, unfortunately i don't think so.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we get Gotze ill eat my own face....Wont happen, but what a player. He will be world player of the season when he fills the Xavi role for Barca unfortunately......

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be a amazing if it came true but as the majority of rumours go on this forum, i cant see it happened. Would love it tho

Reports in France (canal+) saying we have bid 16 mil for gramerio

Believable11 Unbelievable14

Absolute BS

Agree0 Disagree0

Gaimero? Great forward, not a lone striker though needs support, also only joined PSG last August, would cost like £20m

ESPN is saying Arsenal have contacted CSKA about Doumbia. would be brilliant if it happened {Ed022's Note - Not that I know of.}

Believable9 Unbelievable21

I heard tht aswell, also heard about wenger wanting giroud and a few days ago heard llorente but i dont understand is that y he wants all these strikers so does that mean rvp will be leaving.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doumbia is a f***ing beast! he will bring alot of pace to the squad

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt it means anything about RVP one way or the other. While AW is looking at these strikers, he won't buy them all. If RVP stays, AW will buy one of them. If he goes, AW will buy two.
Ypsigooner

Agree0 Disagree0

I highly highly doubt this - 20mln for Doumbia??!!

Podolski at 10mln is a muich better trade!

Billybob

Agree0 Disagree0

Has a fantastic goal record

Agree0 Disagree0

Him Podolski and van persie would be a brilliant front line, and with walcott and gervinho on the bench, we'll no longer have to bring on Chamakh when we need to win :D

Ed. What do you think the chances are of us signing anyone before the euros start? Cheers geez {Ed022's Note - I am not entirely sure, but I expect deals to more than likely be after the Euro's.}

Believable9 Unbelievable6

Most clubs, agents & players would prefer to see how their players perform in the shop window, as their value to potential purchasers will rise.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2012 09:17:06
Vertonghen deal with Spuds seems to have gone a bit quiet, are we possibly in the frame a bit more?

Any news Ed? {Ed022's Note - I still believe Arsenal have a chance of signing him. Spurs are a tad anal with regards to paying fee's etc, whereas Arsenal would be willing to pay as I understand.}

Believable8 Unbelievable8

If arsenal wanted him and were willing to pay, he'd be there already.

Agree0 Disagree0

Things aren't that black and white mate. He's on record as saying that Spurs are his preference, he's probably hanging on to see if they'll stump up the cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he is only using tottenham to get a better deal for himself, lets be real who would want to play for spurs if other clubs want you.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't understand Vertonghen's thought process in this matter. Champions league football and a bigger club or Thursday night football and a bunch of wannabies

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe he's been brainwashed by redknapp

Agree0 Disagree0

He's looking for a solid first team season in a big league, and he doesn't want this to be his last contract. He figures if he's first choice for a season he drives up his price and gets plucked off to manchester or one of the spanish giants, thereby making it more desirable to join what is essentially a selling club. Arsenal have the revenue and the stubborn track record to make that kind of stepping stone move fraught and uncomfortable, which makes us less attractive.

Agree0 Disagree0

Belgian source: He wants to go to spurs to avoid any clash with vermealen, these two have practically had/will have the same career paths, with similar positions the view is they either don't want to infringe on any friendship they have or they have built up a rivalry over the yea

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2012 00:22:00
Ed are Arsenal interested in Lucas Moura and is there any chance of him joining? Thanks {Ed022's Note - I am not aware of any interest from Arsenal, and his fee would be a huge no go for Arsenal.}

Believable3 Unbelievable13

Real madrid bound {Ed022's Note - I don't think he is mate.}

Agree0 Disagree0

30 May 2012 22:31:09
plz wenger sign Dembele/Sessongon we need a very strong attack mid and De Jong/Mvilla as we also need a strong defensive mid!

Ed whats the chances of either 2 of these guys coming?

lenny {Ed022's Note - Unlikely mate.}

Believable7 Unbelievable16

This is for rumours not begging wenger as he dont read this

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont really want this to happen, they would not get into the first team squad

Just heard a rumour from reliable source that we are going to sign nigel De jong on a free that would be a really good signing. I also heard we were going in for Jaaskalinen the Bolton keeper we can get him on a free. Good back up for Scznenzy.

Believable11 Unbelievable20

West ham apparently after bolton keeper so dont think he would go to arsenal to be backup when hes likely to be there no1

Just a couple of rumours doing the rounds but finally a couple of different names!!

Firstly arsene is after 2 established German international midfielders one is definitely Mario Gotze the other is rumoured to be ozil from real madrid!!!!

If he fails to get ozil he will get afellay who it is rumoured RVP has recomended however it is thought by several spanish journalists that ozil might fancy the premier league!

I have heard the ozil one from 2 people who live in spain and arent gooners so why would they make it up? the gotze rumour is gathering pace as bendtner is wanted by dortmund and arsenal will bid 35m + bendtner to get their man.

You can believe it or not but these are rumours i have genuinely heard and not fabricated bs

wengers sidekick

Believable11 Unbelievable25

Lol the Gotze rumours stopped on this page for so long after he signed his extension and everyone focused on Hazard. Now Hazard is gone, people r jumping back on Gotze. No chance he will leave, Dortmund wont sell him and Kagawa in the same year.

I can see Wenger handing over 150k+ a week for Ozils wages lol

Agree0 Disagree0

This gotze rumour seems to be gathering pace but I just can't see it for us to double our transfer record in a single purchase.

Agree0 Disagree0

£35million + bendtner is a good deal imo but its never going to happen. Dortmund will have a bidding war for gotze and we cant do them.
Also why would they sell him when shinji is off to united?

-Homesick-

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets be honest with ourselfs if Goetze became available he would have his pick of clubs and honestly we are not going to be able what he may get at Madrid, Barca, man u or italy
dan

Agree0 Disagree0

These rumours are fabricated bs.

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal bid 35 million for gotze last summer so can people stop saying they wont break their transfer record

Agree0 Disagree0

What ever chance we have of getting Gotze its a hundreds times more likely to get him than Ozil. Why would the man who just won la liga and is keeping Kaka out of the starting 11 move to Arsenal?

they have offered 24 million +bendtner and arshavin and both players would jump at the offer.
this is serious..

and before you all go on about hazard he had agreed in principle to sign but got greedy at the 175,000 a week chelsea did offer..
the real malaga gooner
ed can you please post this on the rumour page because i have a strong link to this..

Believable17 Unbelievable7

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously, do you just play FIFA and post your deals online?

Infact the post about pep, messi and Cesc joining us is more believable than what your spouting, I'm not even sure if your a spud, or just deluded.

I know the transfer season hasn't yet started officially but certain teams have already done the business with the players they wanted. Are we going to see our targets disappear again? I am not a defeatist, and AW is shrewd, but there is a difference between shrewdness and tardiness, and we all know what happened last year when we were tardy. If it is a question of whether we have the cash or not, then who is lying to us? I cannot accept we do not have the money, we should negotiate and BUY now, not negotiate and then sit back like last year. If we have the targets, go for them with realistic offers, I do not believe all the hype about waiting to see what the targets do in the Euros, I am sure most will want to go to a top club so they can be settled and ready for the new season. This is why we struggled early on, we bought from a fire sale at the last minute and our acquisitions did not fit in initially. If we know who we want, go for them!

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Do you know what's happening in the background...guys calm don the window has not opened yet and we do t know what been done behind the scenes...so take it easy

Agree0 Disagree0

If you think about it then the differences between last year and this year are as follows.
1: We are already in the CL this year whereas last year we had to wait for the qualifying round in August which affected our budget and which players we could attract until late in the window.
2: The Euro's are on so most of the players we would be looking at are busy until July.
3: There is a massive fiscal crisis in the Eurozone which could potentially mean if we wait then the exchange rate probably will become skewed in our favour.

GoonerDan

Agree0 Disagree0

You seem to be forgetting we have already got Podolski, not a bad start I would say.

Update on Arsenal scouting:

Arsenal's French-based scout Gilles Grimandi: "We've been watching Sakho [PSG defender], but we've got too many players at CB."
Grimandi: "Even if there's a chance [of signing Sakho], we might not take it. We're looking for players in weak positions, not centre back."

There ya have it. The one and only genuine update of Arsenal's transfer dealings this summer so far.

Believable25 Unbelievable4

"we've got too many players at CB"

Well, Djourou and Squillaci are potentially on the way out so that will make space for new defensive signings. It was always the case that we would have to free up squad places in order to bring in new players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting... This is what he said on Mbwia

"In central defence, on a already Koscielny, Vermaelen and Mertesacker Djourou." Now, if there is a good opportunity why not. Yanga Mbiwa? I know well, it is good for 2-3 years. It is young, it is a true leader and a true Defender, with huge qualities in the duel. "After that, it has never evolved at the international level", explains Grimandi. The situation could quickly change if Mapou was finally in the plans of coach during the Euro next month"

Billybob

Agree0 Disagree0

Sakho and yanga mbiwa can both play left back with the latter being able to play right bak aswel.... we shud go for dem with djourou n squallici leaving

Agree0 Disagree0

Really, we're "set" at CB? Then how did we ship 49 goals in the league last year? I'm only completely sold on Vermaelen.

Agree0 Disagree0

I remember a few weeks ago i said Arsenal were looking to get rid of Theo Walcott and bring in Ibrahim Affelay, and know one believed me. he will cost only 6m can play centre or wide right, and is better than theo. Theo is asking for sily money in his contract, and we won't pay it. RVP to stay Theo to go. Giroud is Wenger No.1 striker target . There will be a new midfielder to but it Won't be M'vila, as Rennes want silly money. It will be between one of these four midfielders. Etienne coupe, Marvin Martin, Lucas Biglia, or the German Altintopp.

Believable12 Unbelievable8

Think you should add De Jong to that list

Agree0 Disagree0

Theo will stay. We should get afellay on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

I still dont believe it, but would love it to happen. Would be great to sell Walcott for £15-20 million and buy Affelay. Wenger always wants to sell players for big profits, nows his chance.

Cant see many clubs wanting to pay Theos wage request tho. And why would another club buy theo when Affelay is available?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hamit Altintopp is Turkish.

I would take that to be honest, only problem is.. RVP loves Theo.

If Theo goes I don't think Robin will be happy.

Gilo

Agree0 Disagree0

Altintopp has come out and said hes joining galatasary...

Agree0 Disagree0

Altintop is off to galatasaray

Agree0 Disagree0

Altintopp (spelling) is Turkish. M'Vila is a done deal, Afellay would be a good signing, has had little playing time at Barca, he can't expect to play every week if he joined us.

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

M'vila is definitely not a done deal and we should not sell walcott, him and van persie are a great team

Does anyone else think that our defensive problems are not with the defence, but with the players in front, namely Song. No doubt he is a good player, but defensively he is a liability in my opinion.

JH.

Believable19 Unbelievable12

I have been saying that the midfiel don't protect the bac four enough for a while now and Song is the biggest culprit, this is why Arsenal need to but a defensive CM or hope Frimpong is going to be and stay fit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fully agree, personally i would sell song, avoid the messy contract situation for say 15-25mill and bring in De Jong, under 10 millon, sounds a decent bit of business to me

N. Wales gunner

Agree0 Disagree0

I have believed for a long while that the defensive frailties emerged when Wenger changed formation. The current formation often leaves the full backs exposed one on one. Whilst Song is often isolated in front of the back four. In our unbeaten team, we had Vieira & Gilberto both protecting the centre backs, whilst Ljeunberg and Pires both protected the full backs. I would like to see us play 4-4-1-1 : Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Gibbs - Wilshere, Song, Fellaini, Gervinho - RVP - Podolski.

Agree0 Disagree0

I cant believe my eyes. song?! possibly one of arsenals 3 best players last season along with van persie and szczesny. without him we may actually struggle for top 10. the sheer number of times he set up goals, with incredible passing that fabregas would be proud of, then minutes later making up for idle mistakes made by some very uninspirational defending.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2012 14:00:00
Out of the 'deadwood' (am I only the person sick of this term?) the players I would be happy to see leave would be; Bendtner, Vela, Denilson, Almunia and Squallaci. All players who don't add anything to the squad and yet cost us 200k a week in wages roughly.

Fabianski and Djourou would be difficult to replace. It will be hard to find a decent second choice goal keeper and a decent 4th choice centre back who is content with not having a main role in the team but can be counted upon to play at a good level when necessary. So for those reasons I would be happy for those two to stay... I guess

Arshavin, Park and Chamakh are players who don't fall under the 'deadwood' category, but under the 'fringe players' category. I wouldn't mind if any of these players were to leave over the summer, but only if a replacement can be identified first. Giroud would be a good shout to replace both of our redundant strikers and would work out cheaper if weekly wages and transfer fees are taken into account. He would be significantly more useful as well than both of them combined.
Eman.

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Park and Chamakh are definitely considered to be deadwood.
Park's contribution to epl could be counted in minutes.
Chamakh looked very promising initially but you got to accept he can't run for nuts. He lacks the touch..not great with passes..can't drible...and is pathetically slow. The only thing good about him is his aerial ability.

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally don't like the word deadwood either, you should use nonessential instead. And second guy you forgot to add that Chamakh smokes shiisha(spelling) too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Erm Park and Chamakh's combined transfer fee was £2 million, Giroud's could literally (cpyright j.redknapp) be anything....Nicollin claimed he would cost 40 - 50 million. This is clearly bull but he won't be cheap.
Drumsofdotl

Agree0 Disagree0

A great 2nd choice keeper would be Graig Gordon. I do'nt think we need a back up sebtre half as wee seem to have plenty cover thier.

Arsenal are considering a bid for Ibrahim Afellay at 6mln or alternatively a loan with an option to buy.

This could be clever signing for a lot of reasons, definitely including his relationship with RVP.

Prior to his injury Ibrahim Afellay was seen to have world class potential.

Can play across the attack-portion of the midfield. Surely, an improvement on Ramsey!

Billybob

I have said this once and I'll say it again.

Ben Arfa will be playing for Arsenal next season. If you doubt this, then I'll look forward to some apologies when the deal is announced.

He is exactly what Arsene Wenger is in the market for. WATCH THIS SPACE

I dont think we would pay the 20 million newcastle would probably demand, also he has JUST found a bit of form, i thik he would be a bit of a gamble i think Rosicky is a better player aswell, older but better.

But hey if it happens i will apoligise!

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle will be challenging arsenal for a top 4 spot next season. Ben arfa would gain nothing by leaving them.

Agree0 Disagree0

And if he doesn't... well then please stop posting crap saying he WILL sign.

In my opinion he'll be a Newcastle player next season.

Gilo

Gain nothing! Are u mad! How bout champions league football, how bout playing for one of the greatest managers of all time, how bout playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world!

That would mean diaby leaves as they hate each other. dont see it happening

Park Chu-Young apparently disappeared after the end of the season. Went AWOL. Recently found.. And he has asked Arsenal if he can leave. He's been dropped from the South Korean team, stripped of his captaincy. (Source - Jamie Sanderson)

Shame on Arsenal for this. Disgusting way to treat a player. How bad could he be? Even inconsistent players have gotten a chance. He even scored a brilliant goal when he played.

Pathetic from the club. He doesn't look half bad at all.

That is a shame - he seems a bit of an erratic type. I don't see him staying in Europe.

I totally agree with you mate. If this is true, i think Wenger should really be trying to keep him for another season and give him some more playing time. If not in the league matches then at least a crack in the Carling Cup matches and F.A matches against lower graded teams. He shows promise, just needs playing time. I'm a bit disgusted about this really seeing as he chose last season to sign with us instead of joining Lille (please correct me if im wrong about the team). I think he needs to stay, whilst Chamakh, Bedtner, Vela etc need to be sold on as they havent delivered at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jamie Sanderson is usually a reliable source but surely grown men are allowed to go on holiday when the seasons over, to say he's gone AWOL seems a bit sensationalist.

If Park decided to go somewhere where he can't be contacted I don't see how that's Arsenal's fault.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes been AWOL since the carling cup in september mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Complete waste of money panic buy anyway.. maybe should have been given a better chance in the team tho.

Agree0 Disagree0

he would have been treated like every other player, stop starting pointless stories. Obviously the lad wasnt good enough for arsenal and what do you expect 2.5 million from monaco, cant just say stuff like this because someone never got a game.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he's dropped from his national team, and its the end of season - then for him to go away on holiday and speak to nobody for 4+ weeks is absolutely no big deal. What would someone need to speak to him about anyway ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't look half bad - looked fully terrible to me in the one game I saw him play. His first touch was bloody awful, he'd try to control the ball and it bouned of him to about 5 yards away. Wenger and the coaches would've had good look at him in training and couldn't have been impressed to why he'd not started many games.

Sorry but goodbye Park not good enough for Arsenal wish you'd stayed in the hotel in Lille.

Listen people park chu young is a good and intelligent player but the few matches he played he was not strong on the ball...last season's disastrous start was such that him and a few other squad players did not get much of a look-in as we needed the points ...and we had very very little margin for error..so am sorry in such a situation you would rather have the players you sure are ready playing...I don't begrudge the club for doing so...however I would hope that with enough prep this tine round he should get a game and park's signing was needed as back up in case Rvp broke down..which he didn't thankfully

So it may look unfair but I somewhat see the logic In it all

Parks treatment was by no means fair. How Chamack managed to play as many games even from the Subs bench and still Not score more than Park is beyond me. If Chamack was given that many chances, why was Park not offered at least half of those, as he cant of done worse than the 1 goal scored by Chamack.

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact of the matter is that he WOULD of played games if Van Persie hadn't of had such a good run without any injuries that have plagued him in past seasons. You can't blame Wenger for wanting back up options for Van Persie, it's lucky for Arsenal that he's had an injury free season, but not so much for Park.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol that was last year,

I agree with the poster, the guy was a promising player in Monaco and was wanted by some other clubs. We took him for no reason and he made 3 apps for the firsts and got a goal. He dominated one of those games. Even in his youtube videos you can see he has talent and he's always shone for South Korea. He may not hve impressed but I would rather have seen hima ll season than all the times Chamakh played, and half the games Theo played.

You cannot deny it is disgraceful the way we've treated him. There's just no way he only deserved 3 apps. No way. Everyone one of us knew he was going to get dropped if this continued, and he wasn't even loaned out in Jan to get game time. He scored 4 goals in 3 games for his country during the weeks after we signed him and he STILL didn't get a look in. When the Ox had an equally impressive return for England we were all screaming to get him onto the pitch and outraged when he wasn't, yet with Park, only some of us saw it as bad. I would have loved to see more of Park this season and less of Chamakh/Arshavin and Theo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well, let's be honest. When would Park have even played.

RVP is our captain and best player and we needed him for EVERY game after we dropped out of the Carling Cup.

I reckon we should have loaned him out in January.

I have a feeling that park faced the heat because of arsenal's initial dip in form.
We were always busy catching up hence a;ways preferred our best XI to be our starting XI.
He has been a decent player and i agree that he could contribute positively..but the season was a little to challenging for us to take chances.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes we always started our Best Xll i'm not doubting that. But Why have Chamack on the bench and not Park? Park was on better form for international matches, had scored the same number of goals as Chamacks whole season as a sub in just 1 start and 2 or 3 sub appearances in carling cup etc. No one is saying he should start as our main striker, but he certainly should have been given more substitute chances as Chamack was.

Guys I have some interesting news for y'all. RVP asked for a particular player to be bought for him to sign an extension. Good news is we have bid for him, bad news is there are other teams interested too. The player is Ibrahim Affelay. We all know him and we know that they are buddies.

There is also the bid we made for Giroud, for 10 mill euro + s**tmack. Problem with that is that the maroccen does not want to leave as he has to take a 50% pay cut. What a muppet he his. If that deal does not go through then arsenal will bid 14 mill euro as a last offer and Chamack will be loaned out with an option to buy.

For the DM role we are bidding for M'Villa despite the rumors that everything has been stalled. I've been told we bid 13 mill euro, but they want 20.

We are also in for de Jong and not if M'Villa does not come, we want them both, which suggests that someone else from the midfield will either leave, loaned or I hope not that Wilshere will be out a lot more than they tell us.

We have not bid for de Jong yet.

We will bid for belhanda, hoilet and del piero at the end of the window, but more to show us fans that they tried to bring in even more but they actually will not try hard to bring any of them. They will bid desperately and hope someone else is even more desperate.

Coquelin will be promoted and afobe will be given some chances to show what all the hype is about.

Arsenal will try to sell many players but we only will sell 4 or 5 of them. This last is just my prediction. The rest came from 3 different sources within the English media.

Believe what you like.

Doumbia is quality! In my ideal world we would sing Giroud and Doumbia up front, with Belhanda in behind...they would destroy.

Oh great, another player who we would lose for 6 weeks every other year for the africa cup of nations
