Benz is NOT coming. he is useless garbage. do any of you watch madrid play? Do you think Arsene is going to sign a fat, slow striker with bad aim and a heavy touch. Wenger never spends exorbitantly, yet this is the guy he'll break the bank for? If you don't have anything worthwhile to post, please don't. I'm a real fan who doesn't have all day to search for transfer news. Then I have to come on here and read idiots who claim to work at the Emirates. . what's wrong with you people?

Do you really think arsene wenger will sign a player that broke one of his brightest prospect legs, be real. wenger would love to sign gary cahill, he is a tall, english defender with very good physical attributes, if he was to sign he could also play in the champions league. this deal could be possible seeing as arsene wenger and owen coyle have great mutual respect and a freindship. altough the price tag could prove a stumbling block, bolton want 20 million for him
Sorry mate but you have a very short memory. Coyle accused Wenger of being a two faced hypocrite after the game this season, the same game Paul Robinson crippled Diaby. They did have a good relationship but not now which is why Coyle won't be doing any favours. Cahill is the first choice target but he will be too expensive. Shawcross has been on Wenger's radar since he was at Man united, everyone has forgiven and forgotten now, injuries happen and Shawcross is considered to be a great prospect.

{ed's note - you need a keeper, right back and centre back desperately, in my opinion. I don't think either of the keepers you mentioned would be good, personally I would suggest either De Gea or Asenjo (whichever they are looking to sell) or Akinfeev, or possibly one of those good German ones, Neur or Adler. Vertonghen and Der Wiel I think would be good signings too.}
Have to disagree about the right back ed. Sagna firstchoice and Eboue as backup is fine, its the least of our worries. Arsene won't buy a goalkeeper, he is happy enough with the 2 we have, i think most Arsenal fans are after a decent season out of Fabianski and Szesceny. Centre Back is desperatley needed, altho with Vermaelan hopefully on the way back Wenger won't pay above the odds and will only sign the right player. Hearing alot about Mexes on the cheap, failing that i really can't see him buying anyone till the summer.

Almunia is going this January & a kid will be brought in as third or fourth choice.
A centre-back will not be signed unfortunately.
Out in the summer: Clichy, Squilacci, Denilson, Arshavin, Vela & Fabregas.
In: Gary Cahill, Melo, Goucuff, Benzima, Bojan

Arsenal are actually likely to sign a keeper during January. Although rather than a first choice the player is more likely to be the new reserve keeper. Almunia is almost certain to leave and with Mannone not anywhere near good enough or experienced enough, a third choice will be signed. Alex Smithies of Huddersfield and Scott Loach of Watford are both being considered as they are both young and talented but have played a lot of first team games. Therefore the keeper department will be, Fabianski as the first choice, Szczensny as the second choice and the new keeper as the third choice. Another centre back will be signed, and the new player will be the short term and long term partner for Vermaelen. The main targets that are being considered are Gary Cahill and Daniel Agger. Wenger saw that the centre backs he signed in the summer haven't played well. The reason for that is because they weren't adapted to the premier league whereas both these players are.
