We don't have to many problems scoring compared to our woeful defence capability, i'd rather see us going after a LB and a CB.

Yes you did, that does not take anything away from the fact that we should be recruiting decent defenders as what we have are ageing and below par. Which is why i said i don't believe forwards are a priority right now.

IMO we don't actually need a winger that badly. It would be welcome, obviously, but a CB (and getting rid of Mustafi ASAP) should be our top priority, before anything else.
Our best football has come when we've used the width of Kola and Bellerin as our wing play and covered for them with a back 3 and Xhaka/ Torreira. Actually finding a way to keep from shipping stupid goals would be great.

I agree, our defense obviously needs work, but as Ed002 has previously explained, we have to ship out certain defenders before adding further recruitments.
We've been hit with a major injury crisis no doubt, and on the books we have in terms of CBs: Kos, Sokratis, Mustafi, Holding, and Mavropanos, with Chambers only out on loan.
If we get the chance to sign Pepe we should take it.
