Ed, will Wenger not care if Fabregas goes to Chelsea, despite them being a top 4 team & Mourihno criticising Wenger?

Could Wenger really see his young captain play for another EPL team? All reports say we don't want him & Chelsea are favorites.

Believable21 Unbelievable8

{Ed002's Note - Would you want the club to spend €37M on an unwanted player?}

03 Jun 2014 22:50:46
So you are saying Wenger doesn't want him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Huh, yes obviously!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, if Chelsea were in discussions and in the process of signing fabregas will arsene wenger make an effort to get fabregas back?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea.}

Was pretty clear to me and anyone else who listens to the manager that were Cesc available, Wenger would take him back regardless, and in a heartbeat. What we need doesn't much figure into it, Fabregas is the one prodigal son we couldn't help but welcome back. Can't have too many world class players IMO, god knows we needed the injury cover.

Screw Song though, ugh. Dunno why that rumour won't go away.

Agree2 Disagree2

Ed do u personal see fabregas playing for Chelsea next season?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - if, as seems likely oscar leaves, then yes..

Let's put it together, we need a good DM by all means a great one! The other thing is Arteta is not agreeing to a new deal, from what I herd, Arteta isn't a good DM as we saw last season, but Arsene is willing to give him a new contract. Simple mathematics sell Arteta bring our Kid Cesc back home. But still sign a good DM Lars or Sven Bender. We need strength and depth Ozil, Cazola and Cesc would need to fight it out! I'm sure we could of done him last season when Ozil was out and too Rambo!
One love Andy

Maybe Chelsea won't be the place he lands, all reports today indicate that Mourihno doesn't want Fabregas but Chelseas board does.

Agree0 Disagree0

If anyone sees a world class player like cesc and is unwanted by any club then the club has problems and ambitions are low

I thought I saw a rumour some while ago that Barca wanted Ozil. I would happily swap Ozil for Fab & Pedro or Sanchez.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002 that is one of the stupidest statement I have ever heard. A players value has nothing to do with the fact that he is wanted or unwanted. The mere fact that ManU, City and Checlsea are bidding make him a wanted player. Other than Ramsey (on currect form) none of the other players on the squad can hold a candle to Cesc.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You are an idiot. He is currently unwanted by Arsenal - and what an earth makes you think all of these clubs are bidding on him? The value is that Barcelona has asked for as a fee they would sell him at.}

He's only unwanted at Barcelona!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Where is the Arsenal bid then?}

How do you know for sure they havent

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol if that's the case ed then ebsfleet wouldn't want him either as they have not bid or not known to bid lol

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2014 17:35:33
Is he really completely unwanted by Arsenal then Ed? Do you expect this to change at all or?

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair have they actually said he is unwanted? Just he can leave for 30m or whatever. Doesn't mean he is unwanted. If we came out And say Rambo can leave for say 70m (just throwing a random figure out there) doesn't mean he is unwanted it's what we will sell him for

Apparently we're readying a HUGE bid for a top striker. This will be the no1 priority and whomever else we buy will depend on whether the deal goes through/what is left of the budget.
From what I've heard it's either Falcao, Benzema, Cavani or Costa.

Not saying we WILL buy one of them, but that the priority is striker and this is the level of player were looking at.

Ed, is schweinsteiger a possible option for CDM for us?

Believable1 Unbelievable15

{Ed002's Note - I wouldn't think so.}

Asked by the Sports Bar to give a one-word answer on where Fabregas would end up, Hunter said: "Chelsea."

He then added: "Barcelona are off the record confirming that there's an agreement on price with Chelsea. I have to admit I do not know what Fabregas would think of working for Jose Mourinho though.

"There were times when Mourinho was with [Real] Madrid that Fabregas was - although articulate - very critical of Mourinho's behaviour. That can change, huge wages can make you work for different people."

However, Hunter did add that Bayern Munich could scupper any chance of a deal if the German giants manage to sell Bastian Schweinsteiger.

"The reason Barcelona want to sell Fabregas is they want to spend €60million on buying Koke out of his clause at Atletico Madrid.

"But Pep Guardiola does wants to move Schweinsteiger on. He feels Schweinsteiger doesn't move the ball quickly enough for the brand of football he's trying to implicate [at Bayern].

"If Schweinsteiger gets sold then maybe there will be a bid for Fabregas but if you ask me where he will end up, I think he will end up at Chelsea."

Would hate to see cesc at Chelsea sell arteta/rosicky bring cesc home

Agree with you, not sure I can deal with seeing Cesc at Chelsea.

Despite every rumour I see I just have this feeling in the back of my mind that this is Cesc Fabregas, Wenger loves the guy! He made him captain at what 20/21? Could he really just let him join Chelsea and Mourihno who publicly criticised Wenger last year?

Agree0 Disagree1

If chelsea buy their strikers then I would believe it, until they end those deals I do not see them looking at midfielders.

i thought they got tiago from athletico to cover for the outgoing lampard, so cesc is a cover for who exactly?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea has looked at a number of midfield players, some of which may be viable and some of which are not. Chelsea will be selling midfield players this summer and there is interest in one or two others. As such, at least one or two will arrive.}

Should let Arteta go anyway, better to play with some youngsters if needed.

Agree2 Disagree0

So Ed, have Chelsea made any contact to sign fabregas? And also what is the latest with balotelli?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona provided Chelsea with a price for Fabregas during a discussion about a Chelsea player they have shown some interest in.

There is nothing new regarding Balotelli.}

I'd be happy with Schweinsteiger!

Agree0 Disagree1

I'm with NE Gooner, Bayern can have Cesc and we'll have Schweinsteiger!

Hey eds,
What's the latest on William Carvalho? I know United are apparently keen, but we did scout him too, I believe? Kinda seems like exactly what we need and I'd love to see us swoop in on a United target, just quietly!

Believable2 Unbelievable7

{Ed002's Note - There is interest in Carvalho from a number of clubs still and there have been fairly recent approaches by Monaco, Juventus, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid. Juventus and Chelsea have passed on previous interest because of the cost. Sporting would ideally like to keep him a year or two more. The asking price will likely beyond what Arsenal would want to pay. Atletico and Inter would look for a different solution financially. Jorge Mendes was in Manchester in late January to talk to the club about him and was in the UK at the end of March talking to another club about two players. Whether or not he met with Manchester United or not I don't know. At best I would think they have told him that they would like to take the player and would like to sit down with Sporting and him to see if a deal can be done - but they know the price and it is significant and there seems little room for negotiation. Liverpool looked at the player earlier in the year but I am not aware of any interest right now. Monaco should not be discounted. It is understood that after the appointment of van Gaal an enquiry was made with Manchester United to establish if they were still interested in the player - and I understand that the club has said that they are.}

Guys look up on youtube: 'Serge Aurier tells Arsenal fan he is going to join Arsenal'. Watch the video. He says 'sure' and 'yeah mate'.

Believable19 Unbelievable8

I would imagine that a deal in principle has been struck some time ago. The same thing happened with Monreal a year before he joined. Monreal had the class to keep shtum. This guy hasn't and I wouldn't be surprised if his actions scupper the deal and ruin his dream move.

Agree0 Disagree0

He says 'Yeah' about ten times. Doesn't even look like he is paying attention to the guy. He just keeps saying 'Yeah, yeah. ' to everything he says.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seen it, not sure if its legit though

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys listen really carefully to it. Listen to what he says.

Apparently Swansea want £19m for Wilfred Bony.

Worth a punt?.

Believable11 Unbelievable34

I'd have him if we can't get a top quality striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whoa whoa whoa. Hold your horses, DG, what happened to Remy?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah DG, I would probably swap Bony for a flat bottomed boat. but I get to keep the pushy sticky thing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bony 2nd choice mate, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

For an extra million I'd sign Ballotelli!
