Arsenal have just given Bartley a new, long term, contract. Arsene Wenger rates him very highly (for what it's worth, so do I!). There is no way he will leave the club permanently.

No way rangers would allow naismith to leave unless its for big money. he has also just signed a long term contract

Rule #1 of Football Management
Never ever, for any reason whatsoever, buy/loan/swap a player in from the Scottish leagues.

Bartley is a top player, next season he will be a regular displacing Djourou and Squillaci.
Naismith was on trial at Arsenal and did not impress then, I do not see what has changed. SPL is a very poor league

News report just in carlo ancelotti wants a job in london, and that means one thing! arsenal...
but once again me personally i do not believe wenger will go... if he gets the players he wants arsenal will be top 4 club easily... even now we are not far off....
wenger we trust.. board needs to splash out, on the players we are in need to capture :P

"It's evident that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's bench is wobbling and, that in several months' time, an English coach will be appointed to replace England manager Fabio Capello, which will free up a place in a club."
apparently thats what he said about us and the spuds. he also said that the only teams he would manage would be top teams "including liverpool and tottenham".
Now i dont see fergie leaving, he wouldnt go back to chelsea, i dont see Mancini leaving and i dont see dalglish leaving. Redknapp may leave for the england job and who knows with wenger.

How can you still put your faith in Wenger. He has lost the plot big time

You are dreaming if you think we are not that far off being a top four team. We not only lack real quality we also lack squad depth.

There isn't a manager in the world who could do anymore with the players we have now.The quality of players at Arsenal has gone downhill,and losing Fabregas and Nasri at the beginning of the season has been too much.Also injuries to key players does not help.This has been a very stressful start to the season for fans and manager alike,but no matter how good(or bad) the manager is,he can only work with what he has.Whether I'm right or not,I do think that AW and the board are trying to scrape through now until the fair play rule comes into affect,and if that is the case,AW will probably keep his job anyway.

Thats why i said we are nearly their! we just need two or three world class players and arsenal is back to normal...
we cannot sign 5 more players you will be dreaming...
our squad is not bad its just injuries etc... so yeh depth needs to be added :)

The board seem to be putting a lot of faith in fair play rules.
Rules that won't change a thing

There will be NO top players coming to AFC in January - do not delude yourself. It is against Wenger and the boards policy to buy decent players any more. I may hjave suggested when Mertasaker was coming in that he was the German equivalant of Igors Stepanovs, but so far my sourced in Deutchland seem to have been correct. Also what top players will want to come to us when we will be very lucky to be in the top half of the table and out of the CL by then. Get rid of the board and manager - they have been killing our club for the past 5 years with their policies !

ed im not asking if we will but can we spend 100m if not what is the maximum we can spend
thanks {Ed002's Note - No, not £100M. It is impossible to say what will be spent. Everything is on a case-by-case basis.}

Arsenal can spend £100M and still be within the UEFA Financial Fair play limits.
We had £160M in the bank on 31/05/2011

ed roughly how much money would be left for wenger in jan
100m 80m 60m 40m 10 m OR NOTHING AGAIN {Ed002's Note - It is imp[ossible to say. Normally the management will decide who they would like to bring in and will put a case to the board for an approach to be made to the player's club and the finances to be made available. Everything is on a case-by-case basis rather than someone slipping a suitcase of cash in to Wenger's office and telling him to do what he wants. And keep in mind, matters have been made much worse by there being a lot of injuries to players.}
