can i just say we were very, very lucky to win againt liverpool. they dominated us throughout the game. if they had a clinical finisher or if they had bought on bellamy on the 60th minute we woud've lost. so it was all of arsenal's fault not just gibbs. i mean SONG is meant to be a defensive midfielder but he didn't make one interception. if agger was on for liverpool i doubt RVP would've had that last goal we had.

Believable13 Unbelievable21

This is the most pointless post ever , the fact is they don't have a clinical striker so it's not Arsenal fault. Secondly for the past six seasons we have dominated every team and not won ANYTHING, at the end of the day we put the ball in the back of the net more times than them and thats what you have to do. Thirdly agger wasn't playing so what relevance has your final point got?

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't give me if Agger was playing and if Bellamy was playing..... What about if Wilshere was playing? arsenal have played many games over the last few years where they have dominated and come out the game with nothing. To be champions at anything you need to win ugly!

Agree0 Disagree0

So what...

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you kk in disguise, its about time we played badly and won for a change, you muppet
trev the gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

When do they stop to be unlucky? it is not down to luck when you have just scored 30 goals in the league... midtable teams and even teams in the bottom half have scored more. They never get any clear cut chances, its always some chances with 14 people in the box. Goals win you games and i think if someone deserves to play badly and win its Arsenal. How often have we dominated games vs liverpool and still lost or draw.

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool have there own site for posts like this... Why don't you stick to that one.
If they had Agger? Well if we had Whilshere or if we'd of brought The Ox on earlier... You can only beat who's infrint of you and we did that..

Agree0 Disagree0

Says a likely liverpool fan

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds like a bitter Scouse fan to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool are a very average team at the moment, as someone said they have only scored 30 goals in 27 games, even though they spent over 50 million on there frontline in the summer...sais it all really, blackburn have scored the same, and you cant say if agger wasnt playing van p wouldent have scored, of course he would of he scores against anyone, just like how lucky lpool were to get a goal against us, a dodgy own goal. Its never easy to go to anfield and get a result no matter how you are playing so we deserve all the plaudits, lpool still rely on gerrard all the time which is not good

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds like Jamie Redknapp. GoonerDan

Agree0 Disagree0

He speaks a bit of sense but i like agger but he he wouldnt have been able to stop RVp

Agree0 Disagree0

We dominate and lose usually so great result for us wanna see us win more like this who cares how as long as we win stop rvp? No one stops rvp

Agree0 Disagree0

We win a few more games we are in the top four for good... come one arsenal... and then halalooya 2 major signings ;)

real-goon

Agree0 Disagree0

Deffo liverpool fan sod off you took a wrong turn. liverpool rumours a few levels dwn idiot. wtg gunners on a stunner win.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a muppet, are u sure your an arsenal fan? I bet you were gutted we beat the spuds last week and didn't just settle for a draw, idiot..

Peter the gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Whinge bloody whinge. A wins a win, fans like you won't ever be happy. Get over it you mug

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool to stay unbeaten have drawn most and you say Arsenal can't defeat them. Well Arsenal was not in good form at Emirates against them but Arsenal's surely taste a bit of revenge at Anfield and don't you see it's not Bellamy as there best striker but Suarez who was nothing more than some average player.
Liverpool has got nothing other then Gerrard who is getting old now. Liverpool's soon going to become a team who finishes in bottom 10. And don't you know Diaby got injured who is a good talent and Arsenal's new Fabregas "Wilshere" was not playing. Ok you say Liverpool might win with Agger and Bellamy playing but can't you think that with Wilshere and Diaby playing full match Arsenal would have thumped down Liverpool

Agree0 Disagree0

True we were very very lucky to have won. Poor managership by Kenny again should have got Bellamy in sooner.
High time we got lucky though :)

Looking to the future, right now I can guarantee that we shall NOT sign hazard eriksen or goetze. They will be tempted elsewhere. All are winners and have won their league recently. Arsenal haven't. However if we make the right moves then we will be title contenders. We should sign up podolski NOW to avoid another mata situation. Anywhere between 10 and 15 million should get him. Then in addition to that sign someone like vertonghen as a utility/squad player maybe as a cdm for 12million. Then we can get the people for FREE I think if we got samuel hoilett and farfan then they would all be fantastic addition to the squad depth. Arshavin, denilson, bendtner, squillaci djourou park chamakh can be sold to fund podolski and vertonghen and free up the wages for samuel hoilett and farfan. Then we would have a title winning squad and still MAKE A PROFIT.
GK: szczesny, fabianski, almunia
LB:santos gibbs (vertonghen)
CB:koscielny vermaelen vertonghen mertesacker samuel miquel
RB:sagna, jenkinson,yennaris(coquelin)
CDM:song coquelin frimpong (vertonghen)
CM:wilshere arteta rocisky diaby ramsey
RW:farfan gervinho walcott hoilett miyaichi
LW:oxlade chamberlain gervinho farfan
ST:RVP podolski afobe (walcott)
Classy squad imo

If we are going to sing a CB I would rather we singed Samba, he is one of the best in the league, hands down. It's lunacy that another top club hasn't already signed him really. I will be so annoyed if we don't. We simply do not need Vertonghen.

Santos, Gibbs (Coq)
Kos, Verm, Samba, Mert, Miquel, (Song)
Sagna, Jenko/Yennaris (Coq)

We don't need Vert, we'd get a bigger, stronger, EPL-adjusted player for less in Samba who truly puts his body on the line for his team and leads by example.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry to disappoint you but samba went to anzi in Russia. Do you watch football news? Blimey......

Clock end gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Samba signed for Anzhi last month

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahhhhh no way, really?! And no Clock End gooner no disprespect but I rarely watch TV let alone sit there watching football news that is the saddest thing IMO and only happens if I happen to be in a pub and it's on in the background... I am gutted, thanks for letting me know!

Agree0 Disagree0

'You rarely watch football news' - then what are you doing on this site then? Plus if your not 'into' football - which is fine by the way - then you don't really have a point to being on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

^^^^^^
Well said...

Agree0 Disagree0

I c how little the original poster knows about footy. We also have Kyle Bartley in our Ranks. Miyaichi actually plays as a left forward

We are showing good form bt lets be honest we are relying way to much on rvp. The boy has single handedly got us into 4th need podolski to bang in 25 goals a seaason aswell guys. I really think we will win the epl next season, yesterday ive seen something i havnt seen in ages we won ugly. Did a man utd keep it up lads azda 14

Believable6 Unbelievable9

Winning ugly football counts mate. We are just lucky with have rvp who is a clinical finisher.

A win is a win!

Agree0 Disagree0

These posts wind me up! Like rvp said on sunday its all down to his team mates. " i would be nothing without them " . What about when utd won the league and ronaldo scored 40 odd?

Adam

Agree0 Disagree0

Winning ugly was a refreashing change :)
COYG! as you said "we did a utd" scoring in extra time with a moment of brilliance.

Ash

Hes being paid to play football he should be scoring goals on that money, hell every striker should

I have to say we should definitely push for 3rd now the spuds have lost. 4th place is surely safe? Mind you every time I've said that this season my words have come back to haunt me. Imo wenger should go all out attack vs milan have a front six of song rocisky gervinho oxlade- chamberlain walcott van persie. That should give them something to think about. Doubt we'll qualify however if we win it will be very uplifting for the squad morale. Definitely go for the win and if we go 2 0 up wenger should go three at the back and put benayoun or arteta on. That should give a gd chance of taking it into extra time.

All out attack isn't the answer... 1 conceded and the tie is definitely over.

Agree0 Disagree0

The tie is probably all over anyway
Gunner14

Agree0 Disagree0

4th spot is definitely not safe. All it would take is for Chelsea to beat us when we play them and they would then be level on points. We have dropped points not just to the big teams this year. I personally think it would be crazy to suggest 4th is a definite at this point, yes we have the upper hand but that is it.

Bermy Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person who doubt's about Chelsea taking over Arsenal.
Well Chelsea has become what it was before. Nothing more than an average club with a player who can miss shoots from 6 yards with no keeper to save it and he plays in starting line-up too. And you doubt Arsenal can lose to them. Do you know the result of Stamford Bridge
CHE 3-5 ARS and you doubt that Arsenal can lose to such team.

Wow looks like I was right about AVB getting the tap on the shoulder....wish I'd put money on that now.

Believable14 Unbelievable1

Yep I remember saying it was worth a few quid on Capello going to Chelsea... Now it seems even more likely!

I mean he loves his Italians, and there is nobody else who wants the job except Benitez and I doubt he is going to come; Capello lives here already and said he wants to stay so it makes sense.

So we may see Wenger v Ferguson v Capello lol and if Arsenal fail to win a title amongst those three he needs to be sacked! Hehe

Carlos Vela's doing alright at Sociadad this year - he's the top assistant not counting barca or real players....

i really think he deserves a proper chance for us - i'm totally perplexed as to why we bought park when we had vela - vela seems to be a much better player.

AG

Believable4 Unbelievable12

Well said AG I don't know why people are disagreeing, I mean he isn't the most prolific striker but he's so agile and he's young - room for growth. He is a sneaky finisher too and he has that flair we Arsenal fans love. He looked great in that pre-season game and then off he went. Baffled!

I do wonder at Arsenal though, I really feel there is a serious lack of focus from the club on individual players, the payers we have just do not seem to develop at Arsenal the way we're told they will.

Agree0 Disagree0

He doesn't want to come back to AFC

I'm hearing Junior Hoilett on a free. (I know it's the source of all evil but still) has it on there. Looks like a Wenger signing. GoonerDan

Believable19 Unbelievable9

We need defenders!! Centre halves especially. I can understand Wengers thinking, we need a better qualty squad. Squads wins titles not just a first 11.

I think Wenger will be starting to recall alot of the players when their loan period ends.

We will see alot ofchanges starting with Wengers number 2 - Steve Bould is THE MAN!! Watch out defenders and midfielders! If you're slacking defensively he will have your Arsenal!

Agree0 Disagree0

We dont need defenders we have loads of good young defenders coming through, but we maybe could do with a reliable expierienced defender at the end of his career for support
