Arsenal will bid for lloris to give szchenzy so well need exp also his scouts have been watching lewdanoski all last season at dortmund and reporting arsenal will think about an offer. Having the French top league scorer and the German one will make arsenal strike force amazing. When RVP goes expect big players moving in. Also I believe the board at arsenal in crisis will want to spend big to show their force...good will come Gooners!

CG

Believable6 Unbelievable26

With Giroud + Poldolski already in the bag, we should move to strengthening our weak defence, a defensive midfield like mvilla or de jong, a left back we can still hijack the vertonghen move as nuffin has materalised yet, and lloris ! {Ed027's Note - vethongen to spurs is done

Agree0 Disagree0

Think huntelaar was German top scorer?
I'm sure il be corrected if I'm wrong

Paul - Rochester

Agree0 Disagree0

And your deluded if you think any big players will be coming in. Just look at our transfer history

Paul - Rochester

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe the board will try this year - we have lost too many stars in recent years and the fans are close to a major backlash especially with red and white breathing down the boards neck

Agree0 Disagree0

Missing out on Vertonghen is a huge mistake!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lewandowski wasn't even the top scorer in Germany, it was Huntelaar.

Ed - apparently l'equipe have reported that we are close to agreeing a fee for Hugo Lloris! can you honestly see this happening?tenuous i know but sagna's wife has also hinted at her friend marine lloris joining her in London!? {Ed022's Note - As of a few days ago, only AC Milan had made a genuine approach and discussions over Lloris. A move to Arsenal is possible, but I remain unsure the likelihood of that move.}

Believable17 Unbelievable21

I really can't see Wenger spending big money on a keeper.
Braintreegooner

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love to see us sign Hugo Lloris. He's a great goalkeeper and I've been a fan of him ever since he was at Nice. The Arsenal fans that say they don't want him because they'd rather Szczesny in goal are deluded. Yes, Szczesny is a decent goalkeeper but there's still a lot for him to learn before he's the finished article. All the top clubs have a great goalkeeper and Lloris would be our equivalent to Petr Cech for Chelsea, Pepe Reina for Liverpool, etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt this - our boardroom is about to go to war.

Already the media is all over it and showing our net spend - which in truth is hilarious versus our peers.

Billybob

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's more likely Lloris will end up at Spurs.

Stezza.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm the writer of the second post, by the way.

As much I want us to sign Lloris, I don't think we will. Wenger has shown too much faith in Szczesny and is far too stubborn to replace with him Lloris as our first-choice goalkeeper. This is why we'll probably fall way short next season. If I was the manager then I would be snapping Lloris up for £15m.

Agree0 Disagree0

Damn, I forgot to post my name again! ^^^

Charlie

Agree0 Disagree0

As far as I understand L'equipe didn't even print today, couldn't find a mention of the story on their website either.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets be honest if both selling club, and agent want top dollar, mention Milian and Arsenal even though we both dont need him......he will get more wages from spuds, and lyon get more money....lots of rumours are feed to the media via agents.......We will improve both defensively and in terms of tactics because both steve bould and Neil banfield will work with the first team.....

Agree0 Disagree0

This would anger me very much. Few seasons back we cd have got given but wenger refused. Now we have a decent keeper wenger wants to spend loads on an avg keeper just cos he's french. I'm done!

Agree0 Disagree0

We finally have a great keeper and you idiots are about to get rid because you think he needs another season's experience. What then? Unappreciative b**tards are forgetting how well he played for us last season. I am without a doubt that Sczczesny was part of the reason we finished third and not sixth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great keeper? great keeper? are you serious? he has potential but he is far from great, fact."he let in the most goals in the prem last season? who knows where we would have finished with a great keeper!

Agree0 Disagree0

To the above post it doesn't help that in one game a defense comprising of Traore and Jenkinson leaked 8. We went entire portions of last term without any fullbacks. Szczesny is still a great keeper, kind of hot-headed but how would it look if we bench him. There is no need to buy a 15 million plus keeper.

In Arsene I Trust.

Agree0 Disagree0

I Didn't say Arsene would spend 15+mill on a Keeper. I was just saying he wasnt Great.

After club captain Robin van Persie dropped a bomb at the Emirates Stadium, there is some good news as French media are reporting that Arsenal are close to signing French international goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Istanbul Gooner !!

Believable16 Unbelievable15

Lloris would be an upgrade and would challenge Shezza to up his game and possibly regain his spot as no. 1. If Lloris could be locked in at btwn 12-17mil then we should seriously consider it.

Either way that has little to do with losing our most talented player at the other end of the pitch

Agree0 Disagree0

No player bigger then club !! And RVP WANTS out then get rid ASAP!!!
Bad apple in the dressing room .
Istanbul Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Your gonna need more than a keeper

Hearing from a tomato sauce, that AW is lining up Junior Hoilett and Nigel De Jong as Additions to the Arsenal ranks to fill gaps and allow Podolski to play upfront and give song more freedom.

Heinz

Believable15 Unbelievable14

De jong loves money and hoilett is an average player

arsene wenger's top targets; julian draxler, hugo lloris, etieen capoue, aymen abdennour, adrian and yehven konoplyanka

Believable13 Unbelievable19

Average to good, no world class then : (

spanner

Agree0 Disagree0

Only heard of lloris, who the hell are the rest? Y do I want to spend 50 pound on a ticket to watch someone I can't even pernounce

Agree0 Disagree0

Well, you can't spell pronounce, which casts some doubt upon your method of judging the kind of player who belongs at the club.

arsene wenger will make a move for fernando torres -who is unhappy at chelsea- as a replacement for rvp

Believable21 Unbelievable27

Yer sure, they will pay him 250,000 a week and pay Chelsea the 50 mill they piaid for him. Absolute bs

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd really want it but it's nearly impossible

Agree0 Disagree0

That has got to be the funniest thing ive heard on here yet!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Obv a chelsea fan

Agree0 Disagree0

Wish it was true.....but its not.Drogba is gone and 175k per week(more than we offered RVP....p.s ill boo him like i did stapelton but not brady.....overmars but not pires,ad ee by whore but not cesc......nasri but not ian wright wright wright....sell your house in Hampstead captain.....but dont comeback and watch us from the executive boxes.....like you care....unlike the true loyal dutchman AND REAL LEGEND....Bergkamp....and take your twitter man wife and piss off to manchester.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh yh and Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he is joining Arsenal and so is messi.... Cum on be realistic

Agree0 Disagree0

Not gonna happen but its a nice thought, thanks for trying to cheer us up through this tough time :)

arsenal to sell rvp for around £25 million and will buy belhanda and another left back or right back

also, vertonghen not signed for spurs yet, just saying

bs18

Believable14 Unbelievable37

Year right.....bull

Agree0 Disagree0

You lot are in dreamland if you think arsenal and wenger will spend the 20-25 mill we get for rvp!! he will sign a cheaper option and bank the rest. i know it and you all know it!!...

Wouldnt surprise me id podolski and giroud are here to replace him and wenger knew all along!!

we will break even with money going out on player and money coming in for players. Especially if rvp is sold along with all dead wood at club ie Park, Chamack, Arshavin, Vela, Bendtner and Squilaci. Arsenal is a business that will always run at a profit to fill all there greedy pockets.

I hate to say this as a life long upset GOONER!!

Zac

Agree0 Disagree0

Vertonghen will sign for Tottenham. We were never in for him, as he is a left sided centre back who will expect first team football. I believe we will sign a young replacement for Fabianski, if he departs & little else. The new forwards have been signed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds more like wishful thinking to me than an actual transfer rumour.

Arsenal to Launch £17m Bid for Schalke Goal Machine Klaas-Jan Huntelaar

lew

Believable23 Unbelievable45

I seriously doubt that as Wenger himself said that RVP was world class but that other strikers who play for Holland offered "little".

Sally

Agree0 Disagree0

No they don't. Don't talk s**te

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance arsene as good as said huntalaar was a second rate van persie during the euros read his quotes about the dutch prefering huntalaar to van persie

Arsenal are keen on Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote, but refuse to stump up £20million.

lew

Believable29 Unbelievable32

Not a fan of tiote as he rolls around the floor too much but he could be another patrick vierra for you lads if he can be taught how to stand up to challenges

Agree0 Disagree0

Tiote, belhanda, huntelaar and a lb would be a dream.

apparently .....swap deal with ManCity includes RvP to go one way and Dzeko and De jong the other way....

MaJaBa movement

Believable18 Unbelievable49

No chance- this is a rumor in the real sense... can't see city doing that- also would arsenal pay wages for both players, which are very high? May as well just give it rvp instead!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dzeko is poor. I would take Adam Johnson, Micah Richards and £20m. Or £25m + Johnson and Tevez 1 year loan. If we sell to City we need to rinse them for as much as we can
Chess

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with this man ^^^^^

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't see Tevez coming because of wage demands, or Dzeko for that matter. Johnson would be good but we have plenty of players in his position.

I'd hate to see RVP go to City, atleast sell him abroad where he won't come back to haunt us!

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't afford their wages.

In Arsene I Trust.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really how often do you see arsenal or any other clubs doing swap deals???????

Agree0 Disagree0

There is truth to the Dzeko oart of this story.....but not as a swap. Dzeko plus cash for RVP is what I hear?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2012 06:31:29
Van Persie to Real Madrid for 15 million plus higuain.

Walcott to Liverpool for 10 million

Vertongen has a better chance of coming to Arsenal than Tottenham right now. 10-15 million

Mvilla is basically signed. just a couple minor things to iron out but the deal should be announced some time next week.

Wenger will buy a couple youngsters of course as he usually does

Believable25 Unbelievable38

Evidence please?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dreamer!

Agree0 Disagree0

More like rvp and 5 million....and still no chance. Where would rvp fit in with Ronaldo and Benzema?

Agree0 Disagree0

All this with no source? Can you give me next week's lottery numbers next

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is this M'vila deal being confirmed? I can't find anything?

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute load of bull - what is this swap shop..................

Agree0 Disagree0

What possible reason could Walcott have for going to a club that can't even offer him European football? Also, if they were willing to splash 18m+ on Henderson, Carroll and Downing each, we should be asking for £25m for Theo!

Mike

rvp to man city for 10 million + dzeko you heard it first here...

Believable17 Unbelievable40

Where was this heard?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dzeko salary is about 130 m/wk asenal can't afford him. If Arsenal can afford that then Cavani is better option

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2012 01:40:14
Rvp to City for 21m + De Jong. This money will be used o buy a left back, top of the list is bains. A CB will also be bought

Believable11 Unbelievable38

F*** that

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Would prefer Dzeko and de jong for him and use some of the money we have to get a lb cb and cam. But i would takes this anyway.

New Gonner

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love to see it, where do you hear or see this?

Agree0 Disagree0

That is not good use of money for me...

Would prefer Capoue at 8mln!

That is 15-17 mln to deploy elsewhere;

Please post in rumours edd :)

RVP is gone and all the best on his merry travels(Please dont do what I think you will and move to s**tty..... )SPLITERS !

......But the thing that is worrying me slightly is Vermaelan's situation, its well known that Robin and Thomas have a huge 'bromance' and their is reported interest from Barcelona, will he get itchy feet too ?

Would love your views edds please ?

P.S. I know Vermaelan said recently he wants to finish his career Arsenal.....but we cant really believe any of that BS anymore , can we ? {Ed027's Note - i see what you mean, but RVP was his best freind at Arsenal, he has other freinds in London, so i think CL will play a part

Believable15 Unbelievable10

Without doubting your comment edd, But surely he can get CL football at Barcelona ?

The original poster :)

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope they make TV captain. I think i should have been done instead of RVP he is the only natural leader on the pitch we have.

Agree0 Disagree0

He just signed a new contract about 6 months ago :)
Wilmslow Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Vermaelen has a long contract at Arsenal, so we are in a far stronger position.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope he does go to city, the club is to blame for players leaving no ambition. All we aim at is a c/l place ever season & we have no chance of ever winning it. If we want to blame someone look at the board & manager.
A fed up Arsenal fan. ( Ps thats why Nasri left & now he has a champions medal).

Agree0 Disagree0

Rvp will next year

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger wants rvp to stay at arsenal and play the rest of his contract but i fink we shud sell him now while we can get muny for him rather than him goin on a free. or if city want him we shud swap for teves or sum one like him

Agree0 Disagree0

Vermalen will be the new captian when RvP leaves and also Barcelona cant afford both RvP and Vermaelan because they have a limmit to the amount they can spend. They have already signed Alba so i doubt that this would ever happen unless they sold a few players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Next year TV5, then Jack and then the OX. football needs to get back to being about a managers vision and a local guys determination to succeed in playing for his local team, HIS TEAM. not the size of a foreign mans wallet. have been obsesed with football and Arsenal for 30 years. but now i think i have had enough. its a waste of my time and it will only get worse!

Agree0 Disagree0

The Verminator will never leave Arsenal

Hi eds, great site. 1st time writer so hope get on. Rumour will i believe have not been mentioned at all plus isnt in the can persoe avalanche that is on at mo.
I wont bore u with who rumour origanayed as people will either believe or not. In short terms comes fro
Guy who in uk for business from uzbekistan and works for one of uzminovs steel firms. He basically said that usmanov's offer to arsenal board is not to be on board, but is willing to put money in a transfer pot for team for the return of having 1st option to buy club if ever comes up for sale. he would take a non exec role, but wants to fund a team overall. he is apparently desperate to buy gunners and if ever did wud outspend abramovich as both are friends and wants to put one over roman. I like others, although like the way we run our club, but deep down gow many other clubs wud diego have a mega rich muli billionaire want to buy them? for the record usmanov's personal wealth is 8times that of abramovich and 5times that ov man city guy!

Believable5 Unbelievable3

With rvp leaving and others to follow our status as a feeder club bring him in to make arsenal to a great team again!

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of bs!
usmanov is worth 12.4bn and sheikh mansour is worth 20bn so no usmanov is not worth 5 times more than the city guy!
brad

Agree0 Disagree0

I think peolple have odd memories, as Usmanov wanted to raise £100 million for transfers through an issue, not by putting his hand in his pocket.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is true that Usmanov is wealthier than Abramovich but in no way does his personal wealth (£12.3B) outstrip that of Sheikh Mansour (£15B). Plus Mansour has the rest of the Abu Dhabi Royal Family backing his Mancunian venture.

All the same I would love him to take over the club and install Dein as CEO.

Kroenke is doing nothing for us in terms of advancing the club.

ClockEndClockEndGiveUsaWave

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh my gosh you must be having a laugh. I cannot believe four people agreed with this.

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

This rumour is as credible as your written English is good.

Agree0 Disagree0

5 times the wealth of Sheikh Mansoor

You should share that crack pipe around

Agree0 Disagree0

No. The oligarchs are a distorting plague on the economies they leech off of, not to mention the inevitable harm their "money is no object" precedent has brought to football. The rampant wage inflation and irrational behavior of transfer fees are in part a result of this and the only way to return the sport to sanity is to say no.

Massive story developing.....well as massive as it gets for us

Thomas Muller - 18.2 m

Believable14 Unbelievable37

Bloody hope so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice try! Got to respect your creativity.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would never happen but hey we can dream. Would be a superb replacement. Seems like we're buying up the German NT...

Agree0 Disagree0

Where's that developing from? your butt?

Agree0 Disagree0

Muller has stated before dat he wud leave bayern if he doesnt get first choice football... the question is do we want a striker hu isnt even first choice??

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes good when he doesnt roll around the floor alot

Agree0 Disagree0

Much more believable than the M'villa rumours.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance

Agree0 Disagree0

For 18.2? not likely
