Juventus have agreed personal terms with Tevez according to reports from Italian journalists and media.

Josh09

Believable69 Unbelievable26

If true, must reduce the likelihood of them buying Higuain and Jovetic

Agree1 Disagree1

Absolutely I have a feeling Higuain will be an Arsenal player this season, as for Jovetic if Wenger wants an attacking midfielder then he could maybe move to us, if we can compromise on the fee to about 22m.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sincerely hope this is true. I suspect Juventus are looking for 2 strikers, with a bit of a clear out up front (they relied quite a bit on goals from midfield).

So I still expect Tevez/Higuain at the moment.

Billybob

Agree0 Disagree0

Llorente is also joining them. Tevez is their second striker. They'll need to sell their other forward before buying Higuain or Jovetic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Havn't juventus also signed Llorente on a free?

Agree1 Disagree1

They have Llorente and Tevez would be the second as they simply can't afford to go splashing the cash around right now. They came out and said Jovetic's fee was too high for them and Real Madrid want them to pay the full fee in cash not installments, something they can't offer right now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember bob they brought loirente early summer

Agree0 Disagree0

There's only so many first team strikers you can have in your team without players being unhappy. Not everyone will play.

little bit of info has come my way to do with boardroom.

a former major shareholder could be on his way back

malaga gooner

Believable32 Unbelievable56

I believe you Malaga and I bloody well hope so!

Long live DD!

Bring back Cesc and throw in Rooney please.

Agree0 Disagree1

Herbert Chapman never held that many shares.

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought Double D's interview on sky was interesting yesterday, when asked about a return the he struggled to hide the smirk and the smile. I expect Dein and a certain Russian to be steering our ship come July / August

1404

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope its not DD his son wreaked havoc at Arsenal by constantly trying to move on our players.
glad we are well rid of that family.
DD did not want to build a stadium but rent wembly we would now be a club without a home if he had his way.

Agree0 Disagree1

Malaga I think you've actually got this one right, a few months back I was in a restaurant when Wenger AND Dein were having a meal, as a life long arsenal fan it's natural to go over, whilst there I congratulated AW on what a fantastic job he's done and asked what was going on in the club and DD stepped in and said "massive things are going to happen in the summer, things you could never imagine" so hopefully it's gospel and it happens!

Agree1 Disagree2

This is hardly to "have come your way". This rumour has been flying around for months.

Please don't try and claim you've broken an exclusive here Malaga.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2013 11:01:09
I hope this is right cz DD had a good working relationship with the players and Wenger and always seemed to be able to get players in and make them stay and want to play for out great club x let's get the greatness back gooner for life
CAERPHILLY GOONER

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL - Dien is not coming back. I met his son at a investor-event once; poker game. (not the so-called agent) some time ago (believe if you want).

They still have a huge passion for the club, but I didn't get any indication that he was planning to bid for shares (not that he would tell me that, as it would be a massive leak of high confidential information).

But given the share price now and the premium they would have to pay, there is no way Dien family comes back as share-holders.

That said, Dien has been the most vocal I have seen him in years. I think this is mainly to support his long friend/colleague Arsene Wenger.

I don't think the board want to shell out the money necessary for David Dien to come back in a Director level role.

Billybob

Agree0 Disagree0

Who says he'd come back as a shareholder? He technically is anyway if we want to get into technicalities since he owns a portion of Red&White holdings which is Usmanov's Arsenal shares company.

If he comes back it'll be as chairman or CEO when Usmanov takes over.

Agree0 Disagree1

Oh dear. Malaga has now moved on to guessing non-player transfer related issues.

Ed02 said ages ago there were changes, it's been reiterated by several trusted posters, you saw the interview with David Dein and put 2+2 together.

Personally I'd love him to come back, but I continue in my campaign to get you to stop getting peoples hopes up

Agree1 Disagree0

"I was in a restaurant when Wenger AND Dein were having a meal, as a life long arsenal fan it's natural to go over". Why is it only natural for a stranger to go over and interrupt someone's meal? What a load of old sh!t.

Agree2 Disagree0

Listen to Ed on this one guys, as for the dinner story if it happens maybe the guy is right if it doesn't so what a takeover will happen at Arsenal even if its next summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2013 20:07:03
Loads of money now for Gonzalo Higuain down to 7/4 2nd Favs and now Juventus now 4/6 as low as 1/4 yesterday and Arsenal were 8/1 could this be the striker we will sign?

Believable20 Unbelievable37

05 Jun 2013 21:15:42
This guy is all about goals. that's what we need

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Jun 2013 10:21:16
GAMES 28
GOALS 16
ASSISTS 5
SHOTS 56

Yeah this guy stats for this season show he is a goal machine come on!

16 goals this season yeah he ain't started every game of that. But let's face it the guy will get goals but he ain't always a goal machine like most guys out there the now. But would be a great addition to the team.

Agree1 Disagree1

This will be because Tevez is now close to signing for Juve. They'll take one more striker from their list too I'd imagine.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2013 16:23:15
Davetee - you do realise that those stats give him a ratio of 1 goal to every 3. 5 shots right? That, mate, is a goal machine! If he played every minute of every game in a team that creates chances like AFC are capable of doing, I think he'd do quite well.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2013 18:28:40
£70 million to spend. I think Arsene will spend like £38million of it on duds. He has great judgement on young players but they take 3-4 years to kick in. try buying players that at their peak and will play and win cups.

He is looking at Wanyama. THAT'S A NO GO! he plays one good game then 7 bad games. be waste of £10m if you ask me. Pogba well better and he has talent in his locker. Manchester United are kicking themselfs for letting him go.

Yeah what do I know my team in the scottish D2 we have no money or europe to look forward too for the next 2 years. But with a club like Rangers we focus on wining cups not bringing players up to sell on or hand them off to a rival team like UTD. In fareness Arsene ( great manager no if's or but's about that ) just needs a push to buy older players or even a push out the door for a new manager to take over and revamp the team.

Comments on what you you all think?

Believable19 Unbelievable53

I think you are spot on mate.

Agree1 Disagree1

Well said, Wenger is running this club like a banker.

Agree1 Disagree1

05 Jun 2013 19:55:35
What do you know? Not much if your judgement on United "kicking themselves for letting Pogba go" is anything to go by. United offered him a new contract and wanted him to stay, but because of a lack of game time he decided to join Juventus, leading Fergie to say that Pogba had "disrespected" United in the way he left.
And I may be doing you a disservice here, but can you really be objective about any Celtic player? Wanyama s***? Yeah. bet he would'nt get in the Rangers side eh. ?

Agree0 Disagree1

Great, you won cups in a 2 horse race, now you are winning cups in a 1 horse race. bravo!
Oh, and you don't sell on players because they are poor & no one wants them. Remember that great player Barry Ferguson. enough said!

Agree0 Disagree0

No you are wrong and you'll see there's is due to be 2 big signings and a third player from the Premier league. In addition to that a DM could also happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your judgment on Wanyama is coloured by the team that he plays for.
If Wenger leaves or is pushed, the one guarantee is his replacement won't be Fat Sally.

Agree0 Disagree0

So you don't rate Wanyama? - nuff said.

Agree0 Disagree1

Hibs and Arsenal fan here and I honestly don't rate Wanyama. I've watched him quite a few times over the past season where he has been average at best. Also I was at Easter Road for Hibs vs Celtic and he had an absolute shocker for a player of his apparent standards. SPL quality at the moment, perhaps with the ability to rise to a bottom half EPL player. Would be a massive mistake wasting 10 Million + on Victor Wanyama.

Agree1 Disagree0

As a United fan I can confirm we very much wanted Pogba to stay and we certainly didn't 'let him go'. More down to his greedy agent if you ask me, who will no doubt find many reasons for his client to move clubs regularly throughout his career. We offered him a top wage for a youngster yet he chose to leave.

Also, Waynama is a very good young talent IMO.

HB

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Jun 2013 01:41:23
Just to clear up the Pogba situation.

It was the year scholes retired and instead of giving him playing time fergie used everyone else under the sun to play in the cm spot and then when they were injured, scholes came back from retirement. that's what he left. It wasn't just "there wasn't enough playing time" Fergie purposely didn't give him the time either because he thought pogba wasn't ready, or some other objective thinking pogba was bluffing about leaving

Agree1 Disagree0

A typical rangers fan, wanyama has never had back to back poor games as a Celtic player. He would tear you apart if your in the SPL. He's a hell of a player, he's 21 and he's hungry for success. He's a very mature player, and does a lot in the community.

Agree0 Disagree2

06 Jun 2013 07:34:18
No I don't rate him. It has nothing to do with the fact he plays for Celtic. I'm not a bogot Celtic are a great team. Far as for the one horse race. we will be back in our top flight.

Funny this. Arsenal Rumours. People don't like it when a scot tells the truth about a team he loves also. So for anyone out there that thinks that taking a pop of me and my team so be it. But you have to remember no matter what. We are the only team in the world to hold so many cups FACT!

There maybe 2-3 big signings but that's no enough to win cups. look at this for team players.

Chelsea. Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Lampard, Luis.

Man City. Silva, Nasri, Aguero, Dzecko, Tevez, Yaya

Man Utd. Giggs ( old so ) RVP, Hernandez, Carrick,
Kagawa ( or what have you ) All big key players.

Yes we have good players too but there is no fire in them. either they start the fire or be fired.

Agree1 Disagree0

If only Wenger had bought players at their peak recently like Podolski and Cazorla. I would be more than happy with another couple of signings of that calibre this summer.

Agree1 Disagree0

So do you want Arsenal to be run in the same way Ranger's were, look at them now. extinct! Wenger has been doing a magnificent job over the last 10 years to keep us in such a health financial state after building a stadium costing multi millions! Also I can't agree with you on the Wanyama, he has proven in the Champions League he can match up toe to toe with the big boys in Europe (Barca, Juve, Benfica etc) so I think he would be a good addition especially for around 10 million he'd provide a bit of much needed steel. But I do agree we need to take to take a punt on a few more older players like we did with Santi, he turned out to be vital for us last season! If we could bring in a few more Cazorla's we wouldn't be too far away from seeing silverware!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wanyama wasn't even chosen for the Scottish PFA award and lost the Scottish young PFA award to a player who is under contract for a League 1 team (Wolves)! How can he be Arsenal quality?! Definitely a no go from my point of view.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am a Celtic season book holder and a huge Arsenal supporter. If Wanyama leaves (which I hope he doesn't) the only team I want to see him at is Arsenal. Exactly what the squad needs to shore up that nervy midfield when arsenal find themselves 1 up and nerves set in on so many occasions. I honestly wouldn't say he was good enough if I didn't think so as I have a huge interest in Arsenal as well. Also to the last poster. you are an person cause he won that award!

Jaiza1888

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually a player from Hibernian (my team) won the Scottish Young PFA Award, Leigh Griffiths. Once again, victor Wanyama isn't good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

To rangers fan, you were liquidated and are no more the newest team in Scotland a tribute team, you are not recognised by uefa because you're on a provisional license and also - " victor wanyama has the potential to go on to become one of the best midfielders in Europe" - Andrea pirlo. When a wizard like him says that you need know clarification. You probably hate wanyama because he bullied your old team when they were in spl.

Rumours picking up about Arsenal signing Victor Wanyama for a fee of around 10 million pounds. I'd personally love this signing if it goes through as he would add significant steel to the midfield. Any truth in this eds? Cheers!

Wayne Rooney has expressed he will take an Arsenal move under serious consideration if we can meet his wage demand of 200k a week! Due to our strict wage structure so I do not see this going through. please leave some comments below on your prospectives on this move!

Thanks from Dave!

Believable31 Unbelievable41

I think it's fair to say 90% of players on planet earth would could consider a move if they offered 200k a week.

Why leave a championship winning side

Agree0 Disagree0

200k wage at Arsenal :) dream on Rooney

Agree0 Disagree0

Would luv AFC to sign this guy would be the marquee signing to rival bergkamp all those years ago

Agree1 Disagree0

It's not impossible to pay Rooney 200k a week, we have let some players go and should free up some cash. Don't forget we paid Henry about that in his last season with us. Rooney coming to Arsenal is more realistic than people think, if Wenger wants him we will sign him.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have just shifted Denilson on 50k, Arshavin on 90k and Squillaci on 50K.

It's possible and would be a massive statement of intent.

Agree0 Disagree0

I, for one, don't want him.

Agree1 Disagree1

Rooney could never compare to Bergkamp. bergkamp showed Class, maturity and grace compared to Rooney being disruptive, unprofessional and greedy.

Josh09

Agree1 Disagree0

Would rather spend the money on Higuain and a DM

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not about the personal side of Rooney v Bergkamp its about the fact we can sign one of best again - Rooney 278 app 141 goals for Man U - Henry 254 app 174 goals and don't forget Rooney plays a lot from midfield now. this guy would be a massive hit a AFC and the young British guys would luv it and thrive

MB

Agree1 Disagree0

I think he could definitely work in regards to his ability and would he could bring to the team he'd lift the team up but I'd prefer we signed Higuain. He has some good stats but his attitude is awful and he is overweight and often lazy nowadays. We all saw his great goal against Brazil but with Rooney now it's like he only puts that performance on every now and then not consistently.

Agree0 Disagree0

As Gazidis has come out to say there are funds to buy and pay players like Wayne Rooney available for once. Arsenal are looking to break their wage structure for a big signing they have paid 200k p/w before for Henry when he joined back on loan.

aleksander mitrovic to sign for Arsenal later this week, in a £2 million pound deal.

it's been broken on twitter by giancardo di marzio. also then provided by tancredi palmeri who is usually spot on with such things.

Gonzalo Higuain: "I have offers many outside Spain, but I decided to accept the offer of Arsenal, but that does not mean that I have finished all the procedures move to Arsenal, but there are still negotiations between me and them"

"I decided to go there because I'm still young and I see that the way the team played for me too and you'll get used to there quickly"

Taken from failbook "Premier League News" group. Google search found this to only be on there. Any truth in this or failbook trolling?

Believable30 Unbelievable36

If this is true then it shows a great sign of intent and another 3/4 players (Cesar, CB, DM) we could challenge for the title.

Agree0 Disagree0

I call bullish!t!

Agree0 Disagree0

A spanish sport website has backed this up but till a formal notice is announced i'll take it with a pinch of salt. good news if it is true though.

Agree1 Disagree0

Not entirely sure if this is a game by Higuain and his agent to get the move he wants, which is Juventus.

I have heard nothing but read alot. if this was true I would expect some agents to try and leak this deal so as to broker it.

Agree1 Disagree0

Though further searching shows it as an old story from around may 13th! so who knows.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think so as juve are meeting real madrid for talks on sunday.

Agree0 Disagree0

Failbook is a site that report sarcastic remarks and rumours it's extremely unreliable. Having said that I personally believe Arsenal will sign Higuain or at least a marquee forward signing like him.

Josh09

Agree0 Disagree0

There is news coming out of italy tonight that tevez is moving to juve. they already have, anelka, vicinic, matri and llorente on the way. surely they will give up on higuain if tevez sorts a move there?

Agree0 Disagree0

That strike force between them struggled to score a mere 30 goals.

According to some reports Higuain has accepted Arsenal's offer that means Rooney's move is off and I'm happy because Shrek is the most overrated player in History of football

cheers eds

Believable37 Unbelievable28

Not true. Madrid want close to £25 mill for higuain and from what I last read/ heard we had put in a offer of £18 mill plus bonus while madrid want a straight cash offer, without add ons

Agree0 Disagree0

The Rooney move would only happen if Usmanov took over or he took a big pay cut anyway.

Wenger also said he would like neymar but it would never happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Overrated?did u not c the goal against brazil?

Agree1 Disagree0

Rooney is not overrated just because he doesn't score 20 plus goals every season people think this but they forget the work he puts in he will run to the end of the earth to get the ball if his team mates can't get it to him he will get it his self.

Look at the goals against city and brazil only great players score goals like that they are not hit an hope goals.

I think he would be a perfect buy for the gunners he would give them the drive they need he works hard for the team he just loves being on the pitch and playing.

Agree1 Disagree0

Recently Arsenal have signed 2 academy players called Dan Crowley and Aleksandar Mitrovic. 1 main player Yaya Sanogo has joined. The latest rumours are.

Keeper = Julio Cesar
Defender = Ashley Williams
Midfielder = Clement Grenier
Striker = Wayne Rooney

Believable54 Unbelievable52

Your list looked ok until I got to the last one. Be real, is Wenger going to pay rooney 250K a week?

Agree0 Disagree2

Seems ok but please do forget about wayne rooney people. it is a typical rumor. wenger never directly said he's interested and rooney never directly said he would even consider arsenal?
on what ground other that paper BS do people base their assumption we are interested in him? One word guys: WAGES! get real please

Agree1 Disagree1

Seriously not Wayne Rooney. If Rooney leaves Man U his best days are behind him no matter what club he goes to.

Agree0 Disagree1

Higuian is the target not rooney

Agree1 Disagree0

Gianluca Di Marzio, journalist and commentator for tv, an expert in the transfer market, said: "One of the best young players in Europe. He is called Aleksandar Mitrovic, he scored 15 goals this season. Class '94, plays in Partizan Belgrade along with Lazar Markovic. Arsenal put him in the viewfinder, the job could be done in the next week. "

He is talented, something like Sanogo. Still, he is not a world class striker we all hope for.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gonzalo Higuain: "I have offers many outside Spain, but I decided to accept the offer of Arsenal, but that does not mean that I have finished all the procedures move to Arsenal, but there are still negotiations between me and them"

"I decided to go there because I'm still young and I see that the way the team played for me too and you'll get used to there quickly"

According to sky italia arsenal have signed aleksander mitrovic from partizan belgrade. He's an 18 year old serbian striker who scored 10 goals in 25 appearances in the league. He's 6ft3 and is said to have a similar game to giroud and was the subject of strong interest from fiorentina and benfica before signing for arsenal

Believable49 Unbelievable45

With arsenal releasing about 14 youngsters, the rebuilding of the youth team is iniment! And we are signing a lot of promising youngsters! Now let's do the same with the senior team get some class players in

Agree2 Disagree0

We should get Lazar Markovic too, he will be one of the top talent in the world like gotze

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah that will be good. We can stick him on the bench too.

Agree1 Disagree0

More youngsters! Just what we need, brilliant!

Agree1 Disagree0

I would bet my balls that they're not selling mata. He's been their best player for the past 18 months. If you're going to make tosh up at least make it believable tosh.

Agree0 Disagree0

All of u should watch how they play before commenting, they are brilliant

Agree0 Disagree0

Mitrovic has scored one goal in 2 games for Partizan in the CL playoffs and 2 in 7 in the Europa League this season. I would be very surprised if he was stuffed into the U-21's and forgotten about for a year.

He's probably being counted towards depth in the forward positions, just like Sanogo. That means that there will likely be only one established forward signed, as expected.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah he does seem similar to Giroud, he even reminds me of Ibrahimovic a bit.
