Hi Eds.

Just wondering if there is any truth to the rumour Ozil has signed a new contract?

Also if there is anything to backup that Onyekuru is in talks with Arsenal yet? Still seems to just be the stuff coming out of Nigeria being repeated by the newspapers here.

Finally if anything has changed with Alexis? Seen a few things saying that Arsenal won't sell him to PSG and Bayern won't pay his wages. Sounds like nonsense so I hoped maybe you could put that straight please?

Thanks again. Sorry for so many questions. Hope it's okay to ask a few at once.

{Ed001's Note - I expect Oezil to sign a new contract this summer, but I don't know of one being done already.

Onyekuru is close I believe. He is very keen on the move.

Sanchez is still mulling over his future, Bayern simply can't afford his wages right now, though that may change if they offload a few. However they are not keen on the message it would send to other players, who would then be asking about their pay. PSG want to offload Di Maria and replace him with Sanchez. No idea about any issue between Arsenal and PSG with regards to that though.}

Sanchez is good enough for top teams to find the money. Don't you worry someone will buy him soon, and you will be faced with nightmare becoming a reality!

There talking about it being to soon to have a director of football and right now the would prevent Arsenal achieving all they can, but the moment Arsene hangs up his management coat it will become an urgent requirement, but who? :-)

Yeah it's true re the baguettes, but they are only at the dough stage and not proven or baked yet. But when done will look promising 😂.

Update - they have now agreed on the baguettes but want it buttered and do not want to pay any extra for the jam.

Who in their right mind chooses to have a jam baguette?

Here is an interesting thought (especially for the Raver) . Despite Spurs being unbeaten at home last year and Arsenal losing there 2-0, Arsenal have now won 8 games in row at Spurs home ground. 3 FA Cup semis. 3 finals and 2 Charity Shields.

Actually I do wonder how much Spurs are losing in the quest for the title next year by playing their home games at Wembley. Certainly they fared terribly there in the UCL as did we back when we experimented with our UCL games at the old Wembley.

eds i don't want to talk about players arsenal are linked with, but who is interested in the players we currently have?

ox, lucas perez, giroud, sanogo, gibbs, wilshire, debuchy.

{Ed002's Note - (a) Possibly Liverpool but it makes no sense (b) Sevilla, Villarreal and possibly Real Sociedad (c) Marseille but it won't happen (d) Lower French or Italian sides I would think (e) ? (f) Bournemouth (g) ?}

Wilshere's being touted to WHam I think. Might be best for all parties really.

I hear Newcastle are interested in Gibbs, any truth in this Eds? The fee i heard was £15 million, this seems unrealistic however due to his injury record and only having a year left on his contract.

{Ed025's Note - it certainly looks a possibility at this stage jim..

appreciate the response ed, would have assumed they would have to go on a free, as most clubs who would want these players probably would not want to pay the insane salaries we have put them on.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You are right that clubs in Europe would not match the salaries.}

Because you have a team of mercenaries who wouldn't play for Arsenal if you didn't bribe them. That is exactly the problem with the squad!

You will soon find out the horrible truth of Europa League football. Top players like Mbappe won't sign unless you pay £100M and budget breaking wages on top. If Arsenal follow this path then they will soon become the next Leeds or Nottingham Forest.
