Ozyakup to play some part tommrow? Also, huge respect to Arteta after his letter to Liverpool FC.

Ben

Believable16 Unbelievable14

What letter?

Agree0 Disagree0

I hear that ben was a great gesture by him, also nice of the Liverpool fans for the standing ovation, especially with him being a former toffee and all

Get that early goal, then hit them with wave after wave of it. Play without fear, everyone in Europe expects you to lose....leave it all on the field...

If we can get an early goal and we shake them, it's on folks, in a very big way....

Unleash Ox, try and get Theo multiple shots. When he's shooting, hit or miss, he's in the mood and our play reflects it. Matches like tomorrow are why Gervinho came to Arsenal. Well let's have it.

Those 3 play well and RVP is on stride, and this is more than doable. Our stadium, our pitch, our fans, this is very doable....have faith

USGOONER,i agree
there seems to be a new never say die attitude in big games.
i just have 1 of those feelings..

What are you on? There is zero chance of this happening, and only risks injuries to key players all of whom are already carrying knocks. Better off resting key players for the geordies next Monday. Much bigger game in the scheme of things. E.I.E

Agree0 Disagree0

E.I.E there's no bigger game than this at the moment. we aren't quitters. and there's a chance. also how much rest do you think they need? the game after is on monday! rvp has as big chance to get injured in that game as in the milan game.

iceman

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not we did against Inter

Agree0 Disagree0

I am in the no hope gang! this is AC Milan we are talking about. i would however suggest that we rest RVP. Then play 442 with theo up front. stick the Ox and Gerv on the wings Milan wont Anticipate this and we may catch them of guard.

Agree0 Disagree0

You dont rest the man with the golden foot...he can score and assist in such a vital game...hope the miracle happens...i believe

Agree0 Disagree0

It's so unlikely .... Barely a chance!

Which is why a week ago after we put Spurs to the sword I whacked £15 split on Arsenal to win the match.

3-0, 3-1, 4-1, 5-1 and a sneaky $5 on us going through regardless of the actual result.

Come on Arsenal! These are the games where we show the world why Arsenal is a club to be feared wounded or not!

CS

Agree0 Disagree0

YES! This is what being an arsenal fan is about. Blind faith. COME ON YOU GUNNERS!! We are a different animal and at the emirates we have scored 12 in 2. We got this.

In Arsene I Trust.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some proper US-motivational-speech on here from US gooner.lol. Its doable I agree, but bear in mind that this is no american "football" nor NBA. lol.

MaJaBa movement

Agree0 Disagree0

I like the cut of your gib sir, 2.0 at half time and they will be very nervous and we will be roaring ... doable agreed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen, if Liverpool can come back from 3-0 down at half time to win the final, there is nothing to say we can't come back from 4 down over 90+mins! Show them Italians what a real football pitch looks like, have no fear, and go for it lads! Come on you Guns!

ed or any 1, how many points do you think would be required to take that 4th spot
dave.w

Believable2 Unbelievable6

I have never understood this whole 'how many points' thing - surely it's about winning more than Chelsea for example, end of surely? Like no disrespect Dave at all mate bubt I just thought it's a weird way of looking at something. I hear people say'if we get 69 points we'll get it' - but not if chelsea finish on 70 ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

In all liklehood, one more than the team in 5th !

Agree0 Disagree0

I think if we beat Newcastle and Chelsea it should be in the bag

RG

Agree0 Disagree0

68pts would be enough

Agree0 Disagree0

R G.... so if we beat Newcastle and Chelsea were in 4th for sure then R G?? If we win all our matches against the teams below us at the moment, then we will be there for sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason i asked the question is because there is only 11 pl games left and i think we should give the milan game our all
i have seen posts on here that we should rest our top players and i disagree with those comments.
dave.w

Agree0 Disagree0

This is dangerous and speculative (I realise AW won't be reading this and be affected!). (a) Why settle for fourth? and (b) by aiming for fourth we run the risk of tripping up. Surely we ought realistically be aiming to win every game left - it's possible, not probable, but aside from Citeh and Stoke away where we've previously been bullied, we have a really good chance of winning say 9 of the last 11 and drawing 2. Thats what we should be aiming for and then hope - and expect - the choking Spuds to drop at least five more points than us. Onwards and Upwards! £rd place and a miracle recovery against AC Milan to get us into the CL Quarter Finals at least (and beyond). It's the least any self respecting Gooner should be hoping for now!
Max Farnham

Agree0 Disagree0

Put it this way the game against Chelsea is a six pointer if we beat them and Newcastle we would have to f**k up realy bad in all the other games not to get top 4

RG

8 wins

Is there any rumours about pato as he is no longer wanted at Milan. Does anybody else think he would be available at a good price and a good signing?? {Ed002's Note - I don't think there is much if any chance of Pato moving to Arsenal and he sure as hell won't be cheap.}

Believable1 Unbelievable11

Im surprised he hasn't been mentioned more with his link to arsenal. He is looked at by many in spain to have the potential to be a david silva type player. Apparently alot cheaper then hazard and goetze and wouldnt have such a high release clause if the potential wasnt there

Agree0 Disagree0

Pato? A David Silva type player?!

Seriously?

Extremely overrated IMO, not worth the money.

people don't think that podolski is a gurantee we have a habit of messing deals up like mata alonso and reina im predicting by the end of the next transfer window podolski will not be playing for us

watford gooner

Believable18 Unbelievable23

At least he's not spainish...could be a good sign:P

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm glad we didn't sign Reina he's been shyte this season tbh and didn't impress me much last season either.

Agree0 Disagree0

Podolski is a genuine sign in the summer
shhhhhhh watford gooner

Eds what are the chances of us getting Podolski and Gotze? And for how much? {Ed001's Note - Podolski very decent chance, but Goetze I have no idea about, sorry.}

Believable19 Unbelievable2

04 Mar 2012 23:19:13
Ed any real interest in Francisco Román Alarcón (isco) or just papertalk. Various sites say five million transfer fee but Malaga has a 20 million release clause {Ed001's Note - I have not heard of any interest in him from England at all.}

arsenal signings that the press have heightened;

Poldolski - Koln - would relieve pressure from RVP

Robben - -BM - Cant see this happening, but would make RVP happy i suppose? fast, experianced and a goal machine.

Hazard - Lille - franticly been linked with arsenal, but i have a feeling CFC will sign him if we dont act quick enough.

Goatze - Dortmund - would be a great signing, just the question if wenger would spend how much he is worth.

Samuel - Inter - the experiance factor would help!

Junior Hoilett - Blackburn - a typical wenger buy.

N'Zonzi - Blackburn - a typical wenger signing, young, french, fast and cheap

well reply as to what you think of these.. i know i'm missing some, but tell me what you think

Believable19 Unbelievable11

Podolski - if this doesn't happen I will be in shock tbh.
Robben - unless the man knows his time is up at Bayern or something, I'm not sure why he'd take a two-thirds pay cut to join us.
Hazard - jury's out for me, I don't see it but you never know. I don't see Chelsea though.
Goetze - I see bigger clubs getting him.
Samuel- no idea.
Hoilett - very likely, however like any player he will want first team football and we may not offer that. Will he want to step up to a much bigger, better club than Blackburn but play a lot less?
N'Zonzi - why in God's name are we linked with him, he is rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree0

Robben has fallen out with the coach at bayren or the fans so it was talked about the other day that's why he is maybe available to go!

Agree0 Disagree0

We havent been linked, but I think frei from fulham would be a great signing for us

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person saying Frei - well said, he is a really dangerous player currently being wasted at Fulham IMO even though he's only young. He's great, I mentioned him a while back too

Agree0 Disagree0

Samuel eto'o has already left inter for Anzhi Makhachkala in 2011. Robben will surely not leave Bayern Munchen. N'Zonzi wont get out of Blackburn unless and until Blackburn gets demoted.

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy above was probably referring to Walter Samuel, the veteran defender rather than Samuel Eto'o

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person saying they see goetze going to a bigger club....not many bigger than us mate, so who you referring to?

Nzonzi - total waste of money in my opinion we have 6 or 7 players that are better than him that can play that position

Robben - could be an oppurtunity for a great signing for cheapish money

Holiett - again a waste of money in my opinion we have ox chamber much better

Dolskers = think thats a certainty

Samuel = is slower than mertesacker! and 8 years older

Still want AVB?
AW any and everyday of the week
SY4

Believable34 Unbelievable1

I have found ti quite disgusting that people would consider AVB instead of Wenger, and I am one of the ones who has said for tactical reason Wenger should go. I spent enough time reeling off the points we could have won with a more ruthless manager but even so, AVB no thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Andreas Villa-Boas has surely got chelsea down, so i am sure if Wenger leaves they wont appoint Andreas. Perhaps Murinho of Madrid is leaving so he might be there for Arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

I am not sure i read anyone on this site wanting AVB so i dont know why you commented that. AVB being bad doesnt make AW good automatically.

Just for the sake of the argument AVB failed at Chlski because of old players being popular than the mngr, a problem he wouldnt have had at Arsenal (hypothetically).

i hope we dont play the first team against milan..we have no chance. let them have a weeks rest for the vital game that is newcastle.

Believable22 Unbelievable17

They they get 5 days anyway, i say play the best att line up possible... i.e.:
schezzny
sagna kos verm gibbs
song arteta/rosicky
chamber v.persie gervinho/rosicky
walcott

Waq

Agree0 Disagree0

It's tough, I'm 50-50 : although I had FAITH in my team, my realistic side was saying we were very likely to lose to Spurs and look what we did. Then the same for Liverpool. I thought we were going to dick on Milan and look what happened. Now I feel we could actually turn it around. Tbh if it was another time I'd say go for it but we have so many injuries I think at this point we need to swallow our pride, send out the rookies and protect everyone. However, that's not how we roll is it? SO I will instead wait to see what AW does and I will have total faith in the team on the day.

Agree0 Disagree0

...and possibly get romped again? no we have to play our 1st team and be at our best. 2 goals before half time and we are back in the competition...

Agree0 Disagree0

We are 3 points clear to Chelsea, 5 to Newcastle and 10 to Liverpool so now for Arsenal it's better to focus on 4 goals deficit in UEFA. Arsenal's already 4th and with lot of chance to qualify again. Newcastle has a really bad performance since last matches, they are ending up with draws to Sunderland and Wolverhampton. They are not in good form and Arsenal's in thumping form at Emirates scoring 12 and letting in3 in last 2 home matches.
