Hi Eds,

Are there any updates on any central midfielders that we are interested in? Despite Ramsey starting to flourish next to Xhaka in the new system, I do believe he can be majorly upgraded with a B2B who is better defensively and overall provides more energy to our team. Plus I can't see Cazorla playing another game for us.

Someone in the cazorla mould would be great. Modric looking for a new challenge maybe lol. Someone like that I feel or we go for a kante type I don't know.

Remember when we kept being linked with Rabiot, who was nearing the end of his contract and supposedly "unhappy" at PSG. What happened to that, i assume he signed a new contract and is now happy to stay?

monreal as a backup is our lb option sorted, but by going 3 at the back i guess kolasinac will be brilliant in the wingback position.

Yep looks like Monreal will back up Kolanisac in the LWB position if he's not playing LCB. With Chambers back, strength in depth starting to look very good, even if Mertesacker retires and Debuchy/ Jenkinson leave.

How has Chambers been doing at Middlesborough? Do you guys think he has a future at Arsenal.?

i saw middlesborough play all the top 6 teams and in 12 games i think he was their best defender. although i'm not sure how consistent he has been for the remaining games, but i reckon he will get a chance.

I watched a few games specifically to see how he was doing. 2 games looked very solid,1 game a couple of errors but generally thought he looked like a decent deputy. As he can play rb too, I'm guessing he'll come back as cover for CB and to replace Debuchy / jenks.

I agree Lakes. He and Gibson worked very well together and I expect Gibson to be the subject of interest from some premier league clubs this summer. Chambers was equally as good (statistically better, actually) and if it wasn't for him, Gibson and Valdez, Boro would have been relegated way earlier in the season. Sadly for them, their RB and midfield was utter rubbish.

Jim that's my thinking too, Chambers as backup RCB and backup RWB is solid. Hope we don't blow big money on any more defensive recruits, we're very solid in that area.

ed002 i know that you didn't know the answer when i asked u before but now do u know if arsenal really did make an offer for kylian mpabbe? And if we did do u know if we will pursue him as our 1st choice striker?

Lastly, lacazette. With him not moving at atletico anymore, and his comments yesterday saying champions league football isn't a priority for the team he's joining, do u see us purchasing him this summer in your own personal opinion?

ed i know you don't like to talk money but are the figures that are being quoted for mbappe 120-135 mill euros is that what clubs are bidding now? i understand that's not the final transfer fee as you have explained a lot more goes into signing a player just wanted to know if those sums are being talked about with the club.

wow ed do u mean none will come or both won't come? I was getting all excited that at least we will get lacazette? Do u think morata is the primary striker target then ed?
