Beng reported that Liverpool have instructed Luis Suarez to train alone and also that Arsenal have placed a club record £50Mil bid.

Reported by who?

That is a tad silly from rodgers, I know he has to punish his player but I doubt suarez will want to stay IF he has any friends at the scousecamp and can't train with them.
no team bonding, almost like BR is saying. f' it
Agree1

Good luck to you arsenal fans you pay liverpool £50 million for suarez when for the first 6 games he can't play. he not getting much game time so he will need that but can't due to ban and trying to force move. every where suarez goes bad publicity follows good luck mr wenger you may regret it. wold class striker but some times world class clown

I think this realistically spells the end of our quest for Luis Suarez. It was confirmed yesterday I believe that his contract merely allows LFC to sit down and contemplate the offer. NOTHING else. Unfortunately time wasted and LFC aren't daft, they will not sell their best player to a EPL club that will consequently strengthen. They're not us!
I wonder if AW has now got a sweat on? Gonzalo Higuain a mistake to let go? Mediocre players as we near the end of the transfer market. Supermarket Sweep!
Agree1
Disagree0
Honestly don't think we will get Suarez, I think a foreign club will come in and get him. Rodgers is such a egotistical plum that after all the nonsense he has come out with, I just can't see him losing face and letting him join us!
Agree0
Disagree0
Maybe Bayern Munich will come out of nowhere and grab him. His agent is peps brothe. Bayern were looking lewandowski THIS season, so they could get Suarez now and RL later
Agree1
Disagree0
I think that pep being at Bayern would mean that's the only club Suarez would not go to.
Think about it "its a conflict of interests" for the agent, as he works for Suarez but also has an interest to look after his brother.
Also if I was Suarez this would put me off.
In the back of my mind i'd always think is my agent acting on my behalf or manufacturing situations to suit his brothers wishes. Just a thought!

Can't see this rumor anywhere

"I'm unequivocal that we won't sell to Arsenal, whatever the bid is, " he said. "I have not said it to Stan (Kroenke, Arsenal's majority shareholder) but I had a personal conversation with Ivan Gazidis (Arsenal chief executive) and told him we would not sell.

Hi edd! Can you tell me if there is any intresst in Pogba and Zouma?
{Ed022's Note - Wenger's interest in Pogba is long term and he was interested in him before Man Utd snapped him up. After a good season with Juventus we were linked to him again. Zouma is speculated interest...}

Pogba showed the finger to Utd and moved to Italy. Why would he come join us?
Agree1

Pogba showed the finger to the mancs for lack of 1st team chances, however he has grown in stature since then. Still I don't believe we will go for him so don't really matter.

I don't see him coming tbh. Would love him to, but I don't see Juve selling for less than £25m if at all. I also doubt that he would be that keen on leaving a team that are winning leagues to come and play for us, especially with the WC coming up.

The negotiations are ongoing and from what I have been told Suarez will end up at Arsenal, unless something unforeseen occurs. Suarez's position at Liverpool has become untenable. Liverpool need to sign a replacement as soon as possible, as the season starts in little over a week and if I recall correctly Sturridge is injured (correct me if this is incorrect). Arsenal, would like Suarez in time for the CL play offs. Hence, I expect the negotiations to intensify, over the next week and a conclusion reached, failing which the deal will be concluded late in the window, but this doesn't really suit either club.

Rubbish. Rogers said today he's not going anywhere which means nowt will change for at least a week.

Arsenal looking at signing Gundogan from Dortmund. Current buy-out clause is £25m, BVB previously tried to get him to sign a new contract with a bigger buy-out fee but he refused.

If his clause is 25m, pay it and snap him up ASAP

Believe it when I see it. The saga over Suarez and Bale is starting to do my head in. Hasn't officially said he wanted to come to Arsenal he just stated that there's a club offering him a chance in Champions. If the deal for Bale falls through RM will look to swoop in and take Suarez, this transfer will go to the wire, it's all assumptions and I hate transfer window 2 months of reading and praying and hoping for something only time will tell.
Agree0
Disagree0
This is completely untrue. Klopp stated when rumours of a Madrid bid circulated that "unlike Mario, Iker doesn't have a buy out clause". However apparently Reus does. {Ed029's Note - Reus has a release clause but does not want to leave. It is not a buy out clause.}

I don't see Abramovich doing this. If he were to get bored I think he would have left by now- when you see him in the stand he looks like a bone fide supporter. Man C on the other hand.

Hi ed, what are the chance of arsenal going for Samuel etoo? I realise he is not getting any younger and have read on tv that Anzhi are slashing there budgets and these players might be sold. Surely if Suarez does not come then etoo would be a good signing. The guy has scored goals wherever he has been. If I remeber right have arsenal not been linked with him before.
Thanks in advance
{Ed022's Note - No chance. Eto'o is on £270k per week or £13m a year which we wouldn't go for and I doubt he will take a drop...}

So, I've heard the following, and I'd just like to say, it's not gospel, it's not from an "ITK" and I haven't heard it from Arsene himself when I was fitting a shower for his dog.
I've literally heard this through a friend of a friend, so take it as you will, and here it is;
As we know, Suarez is our main target, and Wenger is increasingly confident of signing him.
However, if a deal can't be reached by the end of next week, Wenger will pull the plug, and use the extra £50m saved from him to strengthen the positions he plans to better.
No idea as to whom, but this was the exact example the gent gave us:
If Suarez joins our deals will be "Suarez, Williams, Capoue and Grosskeutz
If he doesn't, our deals will be " Bender, Sakho And Munian"
As I say, there's no idea as to whom we'd target, but the examples are meant to identify the change of class we'd acquire by having extra funds available.
I'm personally unsure as to the validity of the claim as even if we spent £50m on Suarez, we'd have £20m of the initial left, plus the extra money from sales and freed wages.
But anyway, it's what we were told, and I thought I'd share it with you fine Ladies and Gents! {Ed022's Note - Kevin Großkreutz would be a good signing and as we know, Cardiff were turned down by Capoue . I would personally prefer Suarez, Bender and Sakho...}
Believable24
Unbelievable36
Really don't rate Großkreutz.
I follow BVB a bit and I agree with Ed.
Suarez, Bender, Sakho would be distinctly better.
Agree3
Disagree0
This isn't what is better with option 1, is going to cost Arsenal easily over 100 m, 40 m won't be enough to get Suarez I am sure they would settle for between 42-45. For Bender a bid of 20 m already rejected so that would need to be upped as well to 25 so there itself 70 m is gone. Our outs have not generated that much money 1. 5 m for Manone, 8 for Gervinho, the rest went for free.
Agree0
Disagree0
I prefer we signed a winger and a CDM in addition to a striker. Winger is needed for more depth. I feel these 3 positions would strengthen the team significantly
Agree0
Disagree0
One thing is großkreutz would never leave dortmund, he was a supporter as a child and has a long term contract
Agree0
Disagree0
As much as people hate Giroud, i'm perfectly fine leaving him up top as the 1st starter this season. Next is a different story if he fails to deliver. I too would like a creative winger and a DM who has the stamina to chase all game.

Toulouse president Olivier Sadran has claimed midfielder Etienne Capoue will join Tottenham. on a web site. another target lost and to the ememy?
Agree0

Capoure is off to spurs! Another club steals the march on us, wenger could at least start spending the other 20-30mil. on CD an DM. get thise deals done an if he can get saurez for 45-50 then ok if not turn his attention elsewhere. But start putting in bids.
Agree0

I don't think people hate Giroud,
Agree1

Love Giroud, not about him but about needing additional quality. As for Sp**s, their scouting network seems to be a pair of binoculars into the Emirates offices, them and a couple of northern teams I won't dignify with names. So far we've almost always signed better than they have.

Ed, any truth on gundogan mate? Heard we made an enquiry last week.
{Ed022's Note - Speculation mate. There are rumours that Dortmund have agreed to sell Gundogan to Real Madrid in the summer of 2014. They didn't want to lose Gotze, Lewandowski and Gundagon all in one hit. They have signed some striking replacements for Lewandowski such as Mkhirithan and I expect they will have a replacement lined up by next summer for Gundogan. Gundogan will not sign for us...}

Believable35
Unbelievable33
Suarez actually on his way?
As much as I'd like to read it this way, it actually sounds like he's talking about leaving Premier League.
He's sort of lining CL up as a better alternative to PL, which indicates that it won't be both.
Please correct me if I'm missing something. So far I'm not convinced, and I'm almost afraid that BR would keep Suarez out of pure stubbornness, rather than letting him join a competing PL side.
(I don't know him that well, so please comment on this 'feeling' of mine)
Many have wondered why we let RVP go to a PL club last year - and maybe the price was too low - but in my opinion it was out of respect towards the player and his dreams.
I wish these human features of AW would pay off when he's on the transfer market.
Anyways, it would be surprising if Real pulled another 50M out of the Royal Blue. {Ed022's Note - €90m on Gareth Bale, signing Isco €26m for and €32m for Asier Illeremendi, I am sure they could whack out another €55m for Suarez...}
Agree1
Disagree0
I doubt it works that way if they get bale no way they can get suarez for that price of 55M, the Fair play rule just won't allow it.
Agree0
Disagree0
Sure thing, ed. Actually meant "wouldn't be surprizing". Money is secondary I Real. {Ed022's Note - Real Madrid have more "loop holes" than a can of Spaghetti when it comes to finances mate. Although I was being fascicious in my original response, I still wouldn't rule it out...}

Are Madrid in for him? are they then paying Bale off in bits not a lump sum, hope not that would be very annoying, f*cking us up twice then {Ed027's Note - not at the moment, Bale is there target, they have Morata and Benzema in strike, as will as Ronaldo and possibly Bale
