Pablo Zabeleta linked with 6 Million bid

Believable5 Unbelievable53

The same pablo zabaleta that plays for man city & recently signed a new contract. I dont know what your sources are but they are wrong as Mancini values zabaleta alot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Citeh and mancs in the europa lololol!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would city sell a club legend who is happy in a squad role and plays LB/RB/DM?

Zabaleta gets quite a lot of game time and is integral to the squad (if not 1st team) so can't see it happening tbh

Please stop talking about Gourcouff and Goetze, it wont happen, personally i am easy with that.

I said before and say again, we are well stacked in central midfield - Arteta/Song/Ramsay/Wilshire will all consider themselves starters. Frimpong/Coquelin/Diaby (when fit) all able understudys. Thats not including Rosicky/benayoun who can operate in the 3. Therefore, we simply wont go for a central midfielder.

We are also covered at centre back - kos/verm/mert with cover of Djourou and squillaci. Again well covered for starters.

My personal concerns - experienced keeper cover. and most importantly, another centre forward.

If we get another centre forward, and manage to keep a left back fit for the rest of teh season we will be fine.

It would be one thing to say Gotze isn't happening, but a bit surprised you put Gourcuff as that unlikely. Bottom line this is a rumour site; so not sure what else you're expecting re Gotze and Gourcuff. They will keep on being discussed.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's about improving the team! so what if we have already good players. we could have better ones aswell

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps numbers wise yes but i wouldnt say we are 'well covered' at CB when we have to turn to the likes of djourou and squillaci!

Agree0 Disagree0

Never say never. I think its safe to say that wenger putting arshavin, chamakh and squillachi along with djourou.

he knows as well as we do that they are not arsenal material. They will be sold as quickly as possible.

He will try to get the best deal for them, last resort just sell them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, we have some very good players coming through but Ramsey won't be nearly as good as Gotze. We could make do without Gotze but if we want to be a club that wins the Premier League and possibly the Champions League, then we need a creative player of Gotze's calibre. He won't join in January but hopefully he can join in the summer. He will eventually be a central player who controls the flow of the offense for both club and country (ahead of Ozil in a year or two).

As for January signings, I expect only an experienced older striker, possibly on loan.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hate to break it to you...gotze is not going to take ozil's spot for germany.

yes he is a wonderkid, but his position will be in a two man CM or on the wing. Ozil is 2-3 years older to him but its safe to say he will be there for the long haul.

Gotze although brilliant and marketed as the german messi much like shaqiri is the swiss messi and wilshere is the english messi, none of these players can even compare to the best player on the planet.

potential yes...to be as good as you may think ...NO.

I am currently working in France and last night trying to find the Arsenal game on TV came across a programme called " The Specialists".
Last nights edition was titled " Gourcuff saved by Wenger. On the panel was Robert Pires and Gilles Grimandi (still an afc scout) My French is poor but the jist was this IS GOING TO HAPPEN and what a GREAT SIGNING.
From the clips last night he is not a CM but a clever and strong No 10

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sorry, but I have never heard Wilshere being called the English messi. Surely that would be joe cole?

"It would be one thing to say Gotze isn't happening, but a bit surprised you put Gourcuff as that unlikely"

Grimandi stated on Canal+ yesterday we were no longer looking at Gourcuff.

"I'm sorry, but I have never heard Wilshere being called the English messi. Surely that would be joe cole?"

ROTFL! P!$s-taker I'm assuming?

Agree0 Disagree0

I just spoke to him and he is going to sign in june.... lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Joe Cole...lol surely the "english Messi" would be Rooney

That's a fairly random response. Start throwing in the likes of Wilshere and Shaqiri in a Gotze discussion? They all play completely different positions and you're just comparing them by a meaningless label random media outlets slapped on them.

Gotze is incredibly talented. He has the ball control and attacking prowess of Ribery and unlike the Frenchman, he also has great vision and passing. He's a fantastic and complete player. He's breaking in to the 2nd best international team in the world at just the age of 19.

He's phenomenal. Neymar is the best young talent in the world and Gotze is second. It seems that your knowledge of the player is limited to just knowing that he's been likened to Messi.

Rooney, English Messi Don't Make Me Laugh

Jack The Lad is "English Messi"...or better: Messi is "Argentine Willshere"

The term English Messi has never been used!

Wilshere and Goetze would be insane and if Wenger is really serious about wanting Arsenal to be the best and wanting Arsenal to win things then he has to invest in players like Goetze. I have a feeling that if we let him go somewhere else we will end up watching him turn into the best player in the world and thinking 'What if?'. Look at Mata he is doing brilliantly at Chelsea and has racked up something like 11 assists already this season along with about 5 goals. He should be in an Arsenal shirt!

But if we continue to settle for scraps and second best we will end up suffering. Top 4 will not be reached this season without a serious message in January. Chelsea will almost certainly buy and Spurs could continue to perform as they are. We may have to settle for 5th and all because we have not shown our ambition.

I personally think we can make it. We can get 3rd or even 2nd if we sign in January. Nothing should be taken for granted and an injury to RVP could see us drop dramatically. Another striker such as Podolski or Pato is a must. If we don't sign another striker or attacking player in January and are hit with injuries I can't see us in the Champions league next season.

As I said. Grimandi categorically said on TV yesterday AFC were NOT Signing Gourcuff.

To say that our midfield is stacked is fair enough, but Wenger will not want another chaotic summer with several buyers.

He knows that Rosicky and Arshavin are aging and Yossi is a stopgap. Wenger likely continuity in his sides and will not want to send out all of these players in one window and try and replace them.

Not to mention that he also has to find homes for the likes of Bendtner, Denilson and Vela (unless he saw that wondergoal).

That requires potentially selling upto 6 players in one shortened window (due to Euro cup) and then having to buy 3 new ones!! And we haven't even begun speaking about Strikers... (Podolski is a long-shot at best - yes the pun was intended).

Wenger is always thinking about the long term and will have a few lower profile targets in mind. Not Hazard or Gotze - at the top end players like Reus and Eriksen; but even more realistic than that are transfers like AoC and Jenkinson.

January will be about the future. The summer may be about quality.

What a bunch of sad t*ssers. The English Messi is none other than Emile Ivanhoe Heskey and don't forget it.
