hi ed002 when you get a chance could you give us the low down on mesut ozil and is there a chance he could leave madrid.
do you think any decision on players at madrid will be left to the new manager or do you think certain players will leave any way?
do you know what players will leave or any sort of info.
all so, do you think if real madrid make a decision to go for wenger do you think it because of his record for doing things on a strict budget.
do you think spanish football is in trouble and can you see barcelona and real madrid having to sell some of its prized assets?
do you think the ffp rules are starting have an effect on the footballing world.
champagne charlie. {Ed002's Note - I don't see Oezil being available at all right now but there will be no shortage of interest if he is, not least Inter Milan who bid against Madrid to buy him originally. Dortmund, who has already spoken with Real Madrid, both Manchester clubs, no doubt some ex-Eastern Bloc clubs (one of which had an offer rejected in November) and Juventus. Unless the new manager of Real Madrid decides he doesn't want him, I don't see him moving any time soon. There will certainly be players leaving in the summer regardless of who the manager is - Higuain, Kaka and Carvalho will likely be the highest profile players to move on. Right now I don't see Wenger moving to Real Madrid. They have a preferred option - who will not be available, and there is support for Benitez. Spanish football is struggling right now because of a recession - Madrid and Barcelona will move players on to replace them - so the likes of Villa will move in the summer. And clubs are now getting ready for the eventual full implementationj of the FFP rules - so this summer might see some significant moves - certainly by Bayern Munich.}
Well,
the Premier league will once again have big money to spend.
The bundesliga has always been a profitable league.
going by the current finances of clubs in despair, there will be an influx of players into the madrid and barcelona setup from within spain, while they offload their unwanted players to other clubs in spain while retaining a modest market transfer.
however in england it will be quite the opposite. from what I have read, Manchester United will bring big players this summer, in trying to revamp their midfield, and there is talk (not certain how true it is) hernandez and welbeck will be made available.
From Arsenal there is talk of atleast 4 players coming in the summer transfer window. this could be in terms of what seems to be reported or the players we need to replace or strenghten
GK, RB, CDM, Striker
I don't see wenger buying a CB, it looks like we will see some players from the reserves make their way into the first team.
Ed by that token would you feel the summer is a really good chance for us to pick up some truly world class players at affordable prices?
Metal Gooner {Ed002's Note - I don't see those players being sold as necessarily being bargains. Bayern Munich will be cherry-picking many of the high-end players that will be moving this summer. Juventus have a couple of clear targets they will be moving for as well.}
Ed002 who is the preferred managerial option for real Madrid that won't be available?
Daniel {Ed002's Note - Loew.}
