Hearing strong rumours usmanov may look to buy fulham and bankroll them. He is desperate to get involved in prem league although loves arsenal can't see himself getting on board for long time. He wants a London club to rival chelsea

Believable3 Unbelievable27

Why would he be interested in Fulham when he's still trying to increase his stake in Arsenal and wrote an open letter to the board raising his concerns?

Dat will be bad.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha Ha lmao, you couldn't make this up oh wait of course you can. Usmanov loves Arsenal dear me, poor man can't get on the board bless. His PR machine is all over the web and the gooner blogs, its pathetic but Its entertaining. keep the bs coming R&W lol.

lloris to sign on monday for the gunners, confirmed...

Believable10 Unbelievable22

Your source

Agree0 Disagree0

Please confirm where you get your information from cause a post like this is not credible. its like me saying Jesus to sign for arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Confirmed by who? your butt?

Agree0 Disagree0

When....if you knew you would say

Agree0 Disagree0

Who told you?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope your right,if your a world class boss and relying on szchesney, well you wouldn,t be a world class boss,he has had his chance and didn,t take it,too rash, error prone, potential yer,but denilson has potential too,a goalkeeper at a club like ours should follow a proven keeper like lloris for two years, twentyfivish,is young for a keeper, particullary a great club like arse.

Agree0 Disagree0

No need for him, we got Shezza, don't see him playing back up to him as he is safely our no1. Plus Wenger wouldn't want to spend 16million Lyon are asking, for a backup.

Johnny

Agree0 Disagree0

Shezza was god to you all last year, my my, how you get sucked in to things

Agree0 Disagree0

This is rubbish. Confirmed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with the above post. If you can strengthen in any area it's worth doing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Lloris is much more likely to go to Spurs.

Stezza.

Agree0 Disagree0

The above poster who says szcezney has had his chance n blown it , yer an idiot! ide take him over hart anyday , we dont need a keeper!

Agree0 Disagree0

Confirmed by who?

Agree0 Disagree0

Caught offside I'm guessing haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha !!! Are you a comedian

Agree0 Disagree0

Take him over hart? Hahah idiot. Harts record
Ast year was amazing. Shezzer was good for a yooth but he still needs alot of work. Most goals let in by a keeper last year in epl= shezz

Rumor has it that Villa + 13M euros bid has been accepted for RVP. Though i doubt this is true due to wages and the fact he wont want to leave Barcá it has been trending on twitter and on various websites

Believable15 Unbelievable28

Sounds good!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see Villa wanting to come here. He is Dedicated to Barca., although I think Barcaa would be willing to swap with RVP.

Wages must be alot more than we can afford.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are we all still listening to this bulls**t on twitter its never gonna happen villa has been in spain his whole career why is he gonna want to swap that for over here and become the new morientes who and was at liverpool and was s**t there.

Arsenal have bidded around £15.5 million for Newcastle and Gladbach target Luuk De Jong. Arsenal have identified him as Robin Van Persie's replacement. De Jong is keen on a move away from FC Twente. Twente have quoted Newcastle £16 million for him after they rejected a £12 million bid for Luuk De Jong.

Believable18 Unbelievable27

Arsenal to offer Robert lewandoski 50,000 a week. Bvb have excepted a bid of 16 mil.

Believable29 Unbelievable33

It's accepted not excepted. besides i reckon lewandowski would want more money than that knowing that he would be van persie's replacement

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't believe you if you can't spell accepted.

Does it matter you new what he/she ment must have a sad life taking the p**s out of someone just because they can't spell is that all you come on here for

Arsenal are in discussions with Marseille about the availability of Andre Ayew. They are considering him as a possible replacement for Andrey Arshavin.

Believable23 Unbelievable25

Very Average Player

Agree0 Disagree0

Podolski and Gervinho play there why would they buy someone else

Agree0 Disagree0

You need more than two players per position. It's called quality in depth. Something we're lacking and have been lacking for a long time. If pod gets injured gerv walks straight into the team with no competition for his place? I don't think so. Very realistic rumour. Only time will tell

Bradders.

Agree0 Disagree0

^^^

what ?

we will sign CDM and that is it.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you have more than 2 players each position when you can only have a 25 man squad? 3 Goalkeepers, 2 players per position thats 23 players plus 2 spare players for which ever position.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have 3 anyway. Podolski, Gervinho, AOC.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't OP say he might be arshavins replacment? {Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath over Andre Ayew moving to Arsenal.}

I play for Southend academy and there was an Arsenal scout looking around yesterday.
Watch out for a youngster (17 years old) called James Moran he is an upcoming star trust me, he seemed to catch the eye of the scout

Believable28 Unbelievable16

How come i can't find anything about him on the internet nor on southend fc's website?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm actually very close with J. So close in fact I'm his cousin! Think your biggin him up slightly here. Average at best.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think so

Agree0 Disagree0

He's diabollical

Agree0 Disagree0

I've spoken to a friend who helps out at Southend (mainly with paperwork) and Moran is not a member of the club, he'd been invited to train to see if he were up to their standard, furiously trying to sign him after his trial- looking to make as much money off of him as they can

Agree0 Disagree0

James Moran is dreadful! He runs like a horse, he plays as if he was trying to dance and every shot will go very wide

any news on biglia {Ed002's Note - Real Madrid and Arsenal have enquired after Biglia. Anderlecht rejected a recent approach from Parma but I suspect he could well move this summer. He has expressed an interest in playing in Spain.}

Believable12 Unbelievable13

Arsenal will be in talks with him soon as arsenal are playing his team in a friendly on the 14th

edd will newcastle sign debuchy we could do with him hes a great attacker and a better crosser than sagna. also at 6mil i think wenger should get him thats cheap {Ed002's Note - He might well move to Newcastle.}

Believable12 Unbelievable17

Newcastle are doing what arsenal used to do buy all french players for cheap. wheres wengers scouting sytem! cabaye and gervinhio played for the same team surely thay should of spotted him. i would really like debuchy he was excelent for lille last season

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think either sagna or him would want to be a sub

Agree0 Disagree0

Better thaqn Sagna? You're high!
Ypsigooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Sagna is a good defender but going foward hes too predictable hes crossing aint the best as sagna is injured it would make sence to go for debuchy espically for 6mil this is one of those transfers wenger will regret

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think he will go newcastle as they gave a quite insulting offer to lille for debuchy inwhich lille ended negotiations. well insulting amount for a footballer

I've been thinking about some of the players that have been linked with a move away from the club, i dont actually think that they are that bad players, clearly AW thought they had something to offer when signing them, however the main reason imo is they just simply are not suited to the EPL. Vela, Chamackh sp? Denilson, Arshavin, just to name a few are simply not strong enough, not fast enough and havnt the stamina for a 90 minute high octane match in the EPL.

If you take strikers for example, if you put Chamackh in the spanish or italian league i think he would score for fun, more time on the ball, its more technical, same with Arshavin, Vela.

Midfielders, they have next to no time on the ball over here, thats why Denilson never really looked the part, in Brazil, and also most european leagues with a little more time on the ball he would probably stand out a bit more

Defenders, well if they havnt the stomach for the fight then they may as well just say goodbye, they will never hack it here, they have to be fast, read the game well and split second decisions can win or cost you the game.

So whilst we all have a moan at them for poor performances which undoubtedly they deserve they are quite simply playing in the wrong league,

N. Wales gunner

Believable24 Unbelievable9

What a load of rubbish
Chamakh could not score for fun in the circus

The truth is that they are poor players and bad buys by Wenger, he who is never to blame

Agree0 Disagree0

A certain John Eustace went to spain and scored a hatful, the point im making is the pace is slower which would suit chamackh,

N. Wales gunner

Agree0 Disagree0

Arshavin is suited for epl. he started great and is still a god players, he just needs more games

Agree0 Disagree0

Good post, definitely worth considering. Chamakh, for example, looked good at Bordeaux and I was excited about his prospects with us. Not everyone is suited to the Premiership - equally not every successful Brit makes it in European football - further proof, I suppose is our national team! To take it a step further, there are marked differences between teams within the Premiership - what works at Stoke, for example, may not work at Southampton!

Agree0 Disagree0

Understand your point and agree the pace is slower.

Still think they are poor buys though

Agree0 Disagree0

Chamakh looked good at first but then he vanished, I mean not his form just him. He was hear today, gone tomorrow. Then came back in the side hear and there towards the end.

God knows what happened but something did.

Agree0 Disagree0

It could well have something to do with climate, not many foreign players would have the stomach for Stoke away when pi$$ing down in January, i just think not every foreign player is suited to the EPL, possibly the way we play as well, what works somewhere doesnt really mean it will work here

N. Wales gunner

Agree0 Disagree0

I've always felt that Chamakh would work well with a strike partner. He's good with his head and he does have a bit of skill about him. If he bulked up he would make a great target man, laying it down and setting up a strike partner.

The problem is that he didn't fit into a system designed for RVP and strike partnerships rely on working with and understanding your fellow striker on a consistent basis. If you're only ever making sub appearances or in the Carling Cup where we rest players like RVP, you'll likely just fade.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Your point about Chamakh might have some legs. People forget he started quite brightly at AFC, but a combination of lack of games and a loss of confidence have led to a dramatic dip in form. Doesn't necessarily make him a bad player and given that he gets next to no aerial service, we could be accused of not playing to his strengths (even if they are one-dimensional). Arshavin on the other hand has talent, but is a lazy f**k who's scared stiff of a days work. Others like Denilson, Diaby, Djourou and Squillaci are just s**t at football.

Agree0 Disagree0

90min high octane? maybe for people from small leagues like russia and that but when i hear stuff about van der vaart saying hes not got the stamina its probs cuz he hardly played for madrid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well N. Wales Gooner why aren't we scouting players like Squillaci, Chamakh etc and realising that they cannot cope with this league?

Agree0 Disagree0

The only player I can think of to replace van Persie is, Zlatan Ibrahimovic? Thoughs? Realistic?

TobyTheGooner

Believable11 Unbelievable44

Good Player but too old

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Lewandowski would be a better option, playing style is very similar to can Persie and he's only 23, where as Ibrahimovic is getting on a bit now and his wage demands will be through the roof.

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

He was given a trial when he was younger but he thought he was too good for the trial and didn't take it

Hearing Arsenal will submit an £7 million pound move for Clint Dempsey.

FOOTBALL1

Believable30 Unbelievable14

I hope this doesnt happen. Smells of desperation and not wanting to pay for a star player just like last season. i.e Arteta, Santos etc

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think this would be a desperate move he is a good player, decent sub who will play is heart out for first team football. And arteta may have been a quick buy but it was a great buy. Dempsey has been looked at by arsenal for a while now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally, dempsey is just what arsenal need more so than mvilla

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes please. A great player (scored a ton for fulham) and wouldn't break the bank either. A classic wenger signing, like arteta (who, may I remind you, was superb last season).

Agree0 Disagree0

Dempsey's work rate, versatility, touch, and run of form make him a good option as a rotating squad member but why would fulham take just 7 mil? They're under no real pressure to sell.

Latest Transfer Developments:

Barcelona rivals Manchester City/United, PSG, Madrid and Juventus for RVP's signature.
Barcelona is planning to cash-in on Villa and bid for Persie. If this rumor is to be believed then there is no denial that RVP would definitely be heading to camp nou and the reason for doing so, apart from their great club record would be "Cesc Fabregas".

Though personally I would prefer Juventus/PSG over the other big fours.

Also,
Rumor has it, modric has agreed terms with madrid.
[EDs- So does it rekindle the rumor that we might bid for ozil who might be sold due to modric's arrival? ]

Desi Gooner {Ed002's Note - I understand that Juventus will not at this time be pursuing RvP. As for Oezil, I don't see it makes a difference. Granero, Diarra, Kaka and Altintop are available.}

Ed whats this about Vermaelen and Puyol meeting in ibiza to talk about a move to Barcalona? {Ed002's Note - No idea.}

Believable3 Unbelievable32

Verm has just signed on for another 4 years. Even if he wanted to go to Barca, the club can simple say no....its not the same situation as rvp

Agree0 Disagree0

No, Vermaelen and Puyol shared a night out in Ibiza, most likely they just crossed paths and enjoyed each others company. I honestly believe Vermaelen will stay at Arsenal until he retires, the only place I can see him leaving to is Ajax since that's where he started his career.

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

They both happened to be on holiday in the same place and had a photo taken together. Nothing more than that.

Stezza.

Agree0 Disagree0

Klasnic was on holiday with dzeko and kolorov. Rooney was pictures with swp and zag knight does that mean they are all due to sign for there teams. You have the money they have your going to end up holidaying in the same places.

L would hazard as guess at this:

Tiesto is one of the biggest djs In the world, he plays in ibiza regular, vermaelen is very good friends with tiesto. so I would presume if his playing in ibiza, anybody who is anybody in Ibiza at that time will be there...

hence why tv and puyol saw eachother

Reading on several sites on the Internet about the potential of Ben arfa joining us. I personally would love to see walcott doing one and have Ben arfa terrorising premierleague defences. Not convinced Walcott even knows how to play on the wing! Lloris , ben arfa, ozil, a fit wilshire, get rid of the crap and were nearly there!!

Believable19 Unbelievable15

If you watched a full Newcastle match you'd see how many time's Ben-Arfa concedes possession, the grass isn't always greener, one wonder goal doesn't make him Messi.

Believable3 Unbelievable14

07 Jul 2012 06:49:02
I completely disagree with trying to keep RVP for another year!, it shows how weak we are as a club and how 1 player has the biggest influence! Sell him to juventus, Barca are now interested as they are selling villa to get funds, Sell to Barca or juventus get 20m? sign a backup joselu as back up for giroud, sign a replacement for walcott if he leaves, sign a ACM like Belhanda, sign a DCM like coupne or M'Villa, sign a back up vertasile RB and we should be challenging for titles again
Wilmslow Gooner

Believable25 Unbelievable5

JW.19

Believable23 Unbelievable22

Nope, i dont think the board care if he leaves. They get to pocket 20 million in the profit fund

Agree0 Disagree0

The "board" has already pulled their fingers out fgs, even before the transfer window opened. This RvP move is all about agents and money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah rvp just wants the club to go big for once & this is his way of trying. we all know its never going to happen coz wenger wont spend big.
Therefore rvp will be sold & good luck to him i say someone of his ability should be winning trophies!
it's just sad that it wont be with arsenal.

Ed you know I rarely ask questions but this has been on my mind over the last few days and I couldn't resist.

People seem so sure lloris will join, why? All these reports are saying we are close to/agreed a deal with Lyon for him.
Personally I think he is a great keeper but I don't want him to ruin Szczesny's development. Are we interested?
Could you give me a roundup of what's going on? Cheers

Nick. {Ed002's Note - There is interest from Arsenal and AC Milan.}

Believable12 Unbelievable5

Ed are Tottenham interested in Lloris, just curious... cheers!and what's the situation with M'vila, don't know what to believe atm.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2012 02:34:39
Ed what's the situation on Javi Martinez and also do you think maybe Van Persie could be playing a mind game and maybe after a discussion with Wenger and Gazides, he could turn against his decision and stay because i know wenger wants to keep him as he stated it in his blog. Rooney did it, so maybe Van persie may have rejected the contract to try and get Arsenal up and running and make the board see the light and buy new promising talent, Ursminov believes we should be buying new talent and IMO i think more money will be put into the kitty for Wenger to buy talent!

Kentish Gooner {Ed002's Note - Manchester City are probably looking to replace Nigel De Jong in the summer and Javi Garcia and Javi Martinez were the two players they are looking at. I was told a while back that Inter Milan may make a bid for Javi if they decide not to take Juraj Kucka from co-owners Genoa. I am not convinced that Bilboa will want to sell the player any time soon, and if they do they will want 40M euro with Barcelona and Real Madrid being possible destinations. Garcia has signed a new deal at Benfica so I imagine Martinez will become a serious target for Manchester City who may also face interest from Manchester United.}

Hey Ed, just wondering if you have any idea about M'Villa and Llorris? By the same token is M'Villa intended to be a replacement for Song?
