Wenger is said to be in contact with karim benzema's agent looking at a £22.5 million fee for the French international.
Another player said to be in the sights of Wenger is FCGB captain Abou Diarra. Strong in his defensive midfield position and able to deputise as a centre back Diarra also has the leadership qualities required by Arsenal.
The final man on Wenger's list is Sakho. The PSG captain is young talented and has proven he has leadership skills and the presence to command and organise a flat back four.

Hey ed who do you think is the most likely keeper to join (if we get one) and centre back? {Ed002's Note - I can't say who the most likely is but I think Scott Loach should be looked at. For centre back, Sakho would be great if a deal could be struck.}

Arsenal will sign hazard and benzema in the summer but they will probally be the only attack minded players we sign even if nasri leaves.we will also sign a experienced keeper that won't be around long but could teach szchezny and a good centre back

Hey Ed, do you see Nasri leaving Arsenal this summer? {Ed002's Note - I doubt it.}
07 May 2011 15:19:24
Hey Ed, is Willian being lined as a replacement for Nasri or Arshavin? {Ed001's Note - I have not heard of any interest from the Premier League in him at all, not solid info anyway.}
07 May 2011 14:53:25
Hey Ed, do you think Cesc will move to Real Madrid instead of Barcelona if they fail to match his price tag and Real being his only way back to Spain? {Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

We will be getting gary cahill but at a cost no less then 20m and hazard at around the same price as well. players don't come cheap now a days so that's the only two players we'll be getting when cesc leaves for 35m.

Just further to my post about the team Wenger wants for next season I have just been told about alternative options for Jagielka. I am told that Jagielka is all but a done deal but there are obviously contingency plans in place:
Ciani, Tasci, Subotic, Cahill and Raul Albiol

To ed who have information about arsenal.who is the most likely player that u think will be sign for arsenal for next season? {Ed002's Note - I am not sure that any Ed has too much information on Arsenal. There seems to be serious interest in a number of players - but fees quoted are high. Sakho is one such player. Hazard remains a slim chance but Gervinho is an option as well.}

Hi ed, first time on this site, ive been reading a few posts on this site, i don't quite understand, why people call for wengers head, he has changed the arsenal for the best n moving to the emirates was very much needed, the only thing i could say, is i wish he could use more varition during games, u can't allways stick to 4.3.3 in prem.n would also like to see, that when we get forward fast that we shoot, n not keep trying all the tip tap side to side football, on the transfer front, n some fans won't like me for this, think fabregas should be allowed to go.for nice price.he had his head turned last summer, n lets be honest, wilshere is gonna be massive for the arsenal.so we should use the money to bring in scott parker, subotic, n possibly a decent 25 goal a season forward.vermaelen back for next season, will be like having a new signing.n we need to get rid ov the dead wood from the squad.i think had vermaelen been fit, we could av still been in the hunt for title. {Ed002's Note - I think it is no more than frustration on behalf of many of the fans. Arsenal fans recognise what a great job AW has done for the club but I think find it difficult to see why they are one step short of real success. It was clear last summer that the squad needed some work and it didn't happen. Perhaps it will this summer.}

This is apparently the team Wenger wants for next season:
Szczesney
Sagna Jagielka Vermaelen Clichy
Song M'Vila
Wilshere
Nasri RVP Hazard
Subs: Fabianski, Djourou, Koscielney, Gibbs, Ramsey, Frimpong, Milito, Bentdner, Diaby, Walcott, etc etc.
There is talk around the club that a deal has already been struck to sell Fabregas for £45m, but to Madrid not Barce. I laughed when I heard it but stranger things have happened. Either way Fabregas will almost certainly leave this summer. Wenger wants to add power to his midfield and will look to move Wilshere forward into the Fabregas role.
In: M'Vila, Jagielka, Hazard, Milito, Jenkinson
Out: Almunia, Denilson, Eboue, Squillaci.
Alternative options to Hazard (transfer looks difficult atm) are: Willian, Marin, Pjanic, Podolski, Taraabt
Alternative options to M'Vila are: Palombo, Tiote, Mascherano
This is just what I've been told by a close friend who normally has top notch info.
Ed what are your views on this? {Ed001's Note - those are all Wenger targets, I fully agree with that but I really can't see them all happening. But they are certainly players that are wanted.}
