Eds do you think there is any serious chance of landing Nuri Sahin? I think he'd be a fantastic addition to out team and transform us completely! Is Wenger looking to get rid of Song? I know that seems unlikely but i'm reading that he is going off him.

Fab {Ed022's Note - There is certainly a chance mate, and Arsenal are well positioned at this time.}

Believable34 Unbelievable17

I would love to see sahin at arsenal but with the size of our squad can't see it happening.

Why does every one ask ed

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal players with football agent Darren Dein (David Deins son) - henry, ade, cesc, clichy, rvp and song.....work it out Wenger has and that why Darren Dein is banned from AFC training ground

Ed
Please tell us there is some positive news, in fact any news, on the future of the world's best player, one N Bendtner esq.
My car,yacht,private jet is at his immediate disposal to travel to any destination at a moment's notice, provided he signs a contract on his arrival-otherwise it's single journey only. {Ed022's Note - No news yet, although I heard that AC Milan were weighing up a bid at this time (god knows why haha!).}

Believable35 Unbelievable6

How about you yourself left the club. We need fans who stand behind their players as long as they are with the Arsenal.
Do you feel better talking s*** about others?
Ok. Bendtner has more self confidence than most of us. But isn't that needed as a striker?
I want us to keep Bendtner, but doesn't look like he wants to stay. Playing time will offcourse be restricted, as it seems RvP stays.
Playing week in and week out, Bendtner will turn really good.
Peter

Agree1 Disagree2

Hes a better, younger version of Ibrahimovic I suppose, so Bendtner could be his replacement at AC Milan

HP

Agree1 Disagree1

Bendtner never really got a chance at Arsenal so I don't think we should be judging him. He just doesn't really suit Arsenal's style, he performed really well in the Euro's.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why try and dig out a player like bendnter even though he has delivered for us (not to the levels we ideally want but still he has produced) unlike players like diaby, squillaci, chamakh, park etc

Agree1 Disagree0

Have you lot lost your minds! or even see Bendtner play?? I for one have and he is well below par for playing for our club and for certainly earning the small fortune he gets. I think 156 appearances is 'getting a chance'! Deadwood. Needs to go and quickly, or are you happy with another season of winning nothing!

Agree2 Disagree0

As the original poster, my right to reply to the various responses is as follows:-
What's the use of having self-confidence (in spades) if you don't deliver? Give me a shrinking violet who scores 20 goals a season every time.
He may be younger than Ibrahimovic but never better.
Bendtner never got a chance- 156 of them to be precise.
When has he delivered for us - remember Camp Nou dying minutes when a bit of composure a la Bergkamp.Henry would have seen AFC into the CL final.
His loan spell at Sunderland combined a pathetic on-field performance, linked to his usual juvenile exploits off it.

Agree2 Disagree0

Didnt think much of him for us but he was fantastic at the euros, would suit a stoke style club down to the ground

bs18

Agree2 Disagree0

156 appearances doesn't mean 156 fair chances of showing what he's best at. His natural position was never the priority, as he was more like a long-term stand-in (for me to see). That said, I'm as well disappointed in his development, but I think Arsenal has part in that responsibility.
I certainly don't hope he's ending up shining shoes in Milan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Come off it ! the guy has had ample outings and opportunities. Let him go and bring in a player that has real drive and can finish.

Old Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Why cant he be with Darren Deins agency this guy is a master a selling our players (henry ade cesc clichy rvp song)

Agree1 Disagree0

Copenhagen post said he was in talks at qpr

Agree0 Disagree0

I like nicky and think we should give him a chance cf, remember arsen use to play him on the right, hes a good player and better than cham n park

Agree0 Disagree0

Benter is the worst striker I have seen play at the Emirates

Agree0 Disagree0

When NB52 has been played in his preferred position, he's done well, admittedly not world class but certainly better than Park/Chamakh. People quoting 156 appearences, how many as CF? Play anyone in a positon they can't play and you won't get the best out of them. simples.

Smirnoff Red

Agree0 Disagree0

'Benter is the worst striker I have seen play at the Emirates'

really??? that just sounds daft and jumping onboard the predictable bandwagon of hate. he has a superb scoring record for denmark, he's scored against chelsea, united, city, liverpool, barca, porto etc but he's mainly been used as sub and out on the right, he's rarely played with a partner but yet he's soooooo bad clubs are still linked with him. i know he isn't the greatest but he certainly isn't the worst, can't work out why people are just so quick to jump on him over other players like chamakh and park who look beyond awful for us.
i guess they get all confused confidence with arrogance

have friend who works at salford bbc centre and says all talk around news and sports section is that van persie has agreed to sign for man u. fergis willing to meet £25mill price tag. In my opinion all good work done with signings is undone by selling rvp to man u. Making a main rival stronger especially man u is a kick in teeth to all fans. selling to man city is understandable as offer stupid money. Would rather sell abroad for £5mill than man u for £25mill. Sad day for gooners with greatest rival taken our beat striker NB

Believable34 Unbelievable65

Salford is NOT Traford Centre and by that I mean its a CITY venue, so the last thing they will be talking about will be Man U beating them them to a signing,RVP will be staying or he would NOT be in Germany now

Sammy Nelson - the BEST Left back

Agree1 Disagree0

Stop panicking he will be injured soon, not a big issue really.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have read the comments on selling RVP going to MAn U. I will believe it when I see him in Man U shirt. It is sad as I think we have just as much chance this season than Man U...so if he does go it is for the money not potential to win something. If Arsenal sell for £25m then I think good as this covers most of that we have spent and in Giroud, Poldolski etc we have great replacements. I thank RVP for his service, wish him luck and hope he regrets the decision

USGooner

Agree0 Disagree0

In the words of Paulie in Goodfellas.....if RvP signs for Man U
"Now I gotta turn my back on you"

Slick Mick

Agree1 Disagree0

Made me cry with laughter Slick Mick , brilliant

Agree0 Disagree0

How do we have as much chance as man utd if we sell them van persie it will make them alot stronger 2 top goal scorers playing 2 gether

Agree1 Disagree0

It is a kick in the teeth and a stupid thing to do to let rvp join utd.
wenger should man up and tell the board not to let them strengthen there rivals.
is beyond a joke always doing the same no wonder the players want to leave with a manager and club with a money money money mentality.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah right, USGOONER, wish him luck? No chance - he is spitting in our faces. I'm disgusted with rvp and the club - waving the white flag or what?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are you on here "How do we have as much chance as man utd if we sell them van persie it will make them alot stronger 2 top goal scorers playing 2 gether" I dont think he will be as good at man utd as he wont get the same service as he has with us, as they have more options up front, anyway pi.. off from our page

Agree1 Disagree0

I wouldnt care if we sold vap p to man utd for 25 million as long as we signed a replacement, Jotevic or Llorente

Agree3 Disagree0

Everyone seems to be disgusted with rvp(I am too before anyone thinks other wise ), so what will the reaction towards him if he does not leave, and plays as our captain?

Agree0 Disagree0

I hear Man U only offered a paltry £15m for rvp and that saf growing impatient with arsenal. Unbelievable! Joe Allen's £15m. Why don't the try making a sensible bid. Of course it will be a nightmare seeing him turn out for that lot.

Agree0 Disagree0

After watching ten great days of the Olympics RvP just annoys me - he is the same as Nasri and this is all about money so lets just sell to the highest price and in the last week of the transfer window - we owe this guy nothing - git rid (by the way Man U midfield is s*it and they wont win the league even with rvp)

Agree0 Disagree0

To Sammy Nelson.. The BBC Media Centre is 300 yards from the Old Trafford Ground.. which is in Salford...

Agree0 Disagree0

If he wants to go to utd and turning down offers from other clubs arsenal may have to accept whatever they get or risk losing him in jan on a pre contract agreement if the papers are to be believed and I don't necessarily think they are van persie is very much in control as he can just wait till jan and get a massive signing on fee somewhere next season and arsenal would get fa

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do all you fans believe the media. wait and see
Paul Belfast

Agree0 Disagree0

What can we do? If not now, he will be gone to MANutd next summer for free. If he wants to go there, he will go there, its just a matter of time...

Sahin deal WILL go ahead, but not anytime soon. Wenger doesn't see M'Vila as an option unless Song leaves, which is unlikely as there is no confirmed interested from Barca as such. Victor Wanyama has been subject of a £6m bid(from Arsenal), which was initially accepted from Celtic, but the player and Lennon, have given the move a no-go after he and the player decided it would hamper his progress if he moved to a club of Arsenal's stature, as first-team oppurtunities would be limited. Arsenal are prepared to come back with a £9m offer, which would include the Kenyan returning to the Scottish giants for a season long loan, where he would get game time. We've also enquired Ajax regarding the availability of Cheikhou Kouyate who had a blinder of an Olympics.
Darren

Believable19 Unbelievable33

Cheikhou Kouyate plays for Anderlecht.

Agree2 Disagree1

I would think if we did go for Wanyama he wouldn't be sent out on loan as we have Frimpong and Coquelin who could be loaned out and start to feature next year.

Agree0 Disagree0

Need to pay more than 9mill for wanyama. This guy will become a world class star in years to come. Watch this space. Also he wont leave this transfer window or next if we qualify for CL!

informal talks between anderlecht and arsenal have started for Cheikhou Kouyate
source- the times

Believable22 Unbelievable37

Talks have started but its for mathias suarez

Agree0 Disagree0

He cant get a work permit so its just bull as usual

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a great big lump this chap and we scouted him in the past but will he be able to make the leap from the Belgian leagues. If cheap lets have him.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is one of the most powerful players in the game.

Catalan newspaper has just printed that Song has agreed to move to Barca. Hope it's not true, but looks this year if we are taking the approach of we will score more than you!

Cazorla is a great signing, but does show the likelihood that Wilshere will not be back for quite some time (after Christmas apparently).

We do need a new defensive midfielder, and more cover at the back. My hopes are for M'Vila, but every day that goes past adds to the doubt.

Potential that Toulalan may make the move? I don't know. Just speculation!

Believable11 Unbelievable42

So let me get this straight then. We are re-jigging the entire midfield and attack - ie RvP and Song out - and Cazorla, Podolski and Giroud in !! Jack maybe out for longer than expected with no way of knowing when or if he'll recapture his form - Rosicky injured and Ramsey maybe lacking in confidence !! Just wondering where the little bit of bite is going to come from in midfield !!

johntheguv

Agree1 Disagree1

Toulalan...oh yes another ready made player for the champions elect(am i getting carried away?!?)

Agree0 Disagree0

Song can't agree a move to Barca as he's under contract until 2015. So unless he's agreeing fees for then, this is horse****

Chess

Agree1 Disagree0

I've read the article. It is idle speculation only. They say that Arsenal negotiate very slowly so any deal will not be soon but Mr Wenger has lost patience with Song and Song wants to leave. I think this is what they call "a punt"

Agree0 Disagree0

Song won't leave

The same person that told me about Cazorla mentioned that the Sahin deal is well under way & Ricahrd Law has again been instrumental in the negotiations. The main sticking point was Arsenal's insistence on the insertion of a clause, allowing us to sign him on a permanent basis at the end of the loan deal. The deal will coincide with Modric's move to Real. Expect deal to be announced early next week.

Believable34 Unbelievable8

They wont pay for modric....spuds want 40m.....madrid value him at 26m-28m.......also madrid are ready to allow him leave regardless of the modric deal....

Nuri Sahin, Yann M'Vila, Gregory van der Wiel and Nicolas N'Koulou are supposed to be on Wengers wanted list

Don't know how much of this is true

The Mirror

Believable55 Unbelievable20

U forgot some - Cheikhou Kouyate, Ki Sung-yeung

Agree1 Disagree1

Im sorry but fans who post this are deluded, wenger will not sign M'Villa as he has stated he has enough cover and people are forgetting we can only name 25 in the squad theres around 8 or 9 players we have to get rid of. Van Der Weil is not a back up right back he is one of hollands brightest stars, Sahin is a mabey but i think the stumbling block is madrid dont want to let him go as they obv see him as part of there long term plans hence the 6 year contract and hefty fee but arsenal know that if he becomes brilliant for them it could be for nothing if he just goes back after it, why they want the option to make it permenent

Agree1 Disagree0

Hefty fee for sahin? Madrid signed him 10m euros.. I think anything about £10m with a clause as a first refusal within two years would suit them. Similar to a deal which saw bojan to Roma except if they wanted to sign bojan back they could do it for £10m within 2 years.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is only what i copied from the mirror and as u cant read i said I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH OF THIS IS TRUE!!! and how can i add people that wernt in the article frikin moron

if rvp leaves we will get mathias suarez or mirallas

Believable25 Unbelievable80

Suarez gone to cska moskva

Agree0 Disagree0

Giroud was already bought in and we have poldolski, rvp will not be replaced with another signing if he leaves

Agree0 Disagree1

M.Suarez just failed a medical at CSKA with a bad knee problem. He wont be coming to Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

No need -

Podolski
Giroud
Keep one of - (remember they are still on the books)
Chamakh
Park

On a side note - I expect a very busy last week and deadline day for us - but more on the outgoing side,

Billybob

Agree2 Disagree0

Joselu, Niang or your mum is more likely in my opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

Get rid of cham and park and keep nicky or play theo down the front

Agree0 Disagree0

I still reckon we will get m.suarez because hes very similar to rvp if not more creative

Agree0 Disagree0

Manchester evening news saying Robin will join Utd for £20 mill, this is pathetic if true
