What has this gotta do with arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

..Arsenal play in England, thats why it is related.

Agree0 Disagree0

......and 'Arry is likely to get the gig which will destabilise those guttersnipe Spuds so .......Happy Days !

Agree0 Disagree0

It's relevant because harry redknapp will be favourite to land the job now he has been cleared from tax fraud.
That can only be a good thing for arsenal coz spurs will have to get a new manager and could drop down the table.

apprantly arsenal shall go after 3 players currently in the EPL, these players are;

Sturridge
Samba
Kalou

these players shall replace the drift wood players currently in the arsenal changing rooms, such as Arshaving, Bentner, Diaby.

plays being looked out from outside the EPL include;

Hazzard
Nastasic

Believable16 Unbelievable18

Thats amazing! for the total of $100m? thats just what we do, and thats what makes us such a great club! COYG

Agree0 Disagree0

Samba and sturridge good deal not sure on kalou he is very average and we have enough cover in these positions. I doubt we will sign both if any. I don't think r.v.p is holding out for us to sign superstars he is prob seeing what we develop and how club is run. You can see he loves arsenal but this type of player is a thing of the past I honestly don't think player contracts are worth the paper they are written on

Agree0 Disagree0

Our business should be
out wage fee
Djourou 40k 2mil
schilatchi 40k 1 mil
Diaby 60k 2 mil
Arshavin 80k 5mil
Chamak 50k 5 mil
Park 30k 2 mil
Bentner 52k 5mil
Denilson 52k 2 mil
Vela 30k 2 mil
bring in wage fee
Baines 70k 15mil
Hazard 100k 25mil
Torres 100k 15mil
villa 100k 15mil

promote a few youngsters like Migel, Yenneris. Cocholen, Frimpong. i look at this and think this is possible. These guys playing with the ox RVP, Wiltshire and Verminator.

Agree0 Disagree0

Replacing 9 players with 4 makes the squad thinner dont you think?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but 3 of those players aren't available to us anyway...4 if you count diaby being injured. So its really replacing 5 or 6 with 4. Not much thinning then...

Agree0 Disagree0

As siad 4 are out on loan. Diaby all ways injured, others either Wenger or the fans dont trust. this will give us 20 odd players that Wenger trusts in any game. at the moment he is relying on about 14. IMO it is a better squad and 1 that could be adjusted to our pay structure. also why does silent Stan not lend his clud 100 million until we can increase our comercial deals in 2014. if you loved the club you would!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Kalou is a likely addition in the summer typical Wenger a free transfer, Kalou wants to work under him and he is not really an out and out goalscorer can play anywhere across the front.

Diaby will not be sold, he will be a slightly bigger fish now we have lost a lot of the midfield and I assume he will get a run in the team.

Samba is a difficult one to judge, I think QPR is a strong possibility.

Sturridge happening is a joke, he is highly rated at Chelsea and is scoring goals from a wide position. Once they have lost patience with Torres I think he will move to the centre.

In Arsene I Trust

Djourou has apparently signed a new deal.
Raz

Believable17 Unbelievable10

What an absolute joke this must be giving a contract extention to an injury prone average player. Mr Wenger you have definately lost the plot, please go and manage France in the summer and let someone else come in and pick up the pieces. I don't know who but enough is enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nnnoooooooooooooo!!

bs18

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing about this on the Arsenal website where they are the first to declare such things.

I think even Wenger realises that Djourou isn't up to arsenal standards, not when we have the youngsters coing through.

Mick

Agree0 Disagree0

Losing Fab4 was bad Johan signing a new deal is the worse thing that has ever happened to Arsenal since I started supporting them 30yrs ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it April first! seriously i run an under 11 side and half of them anticipate more than Djourou. He is useless and never shows any passion. his reaction to giving a dubious penalty away to Bolton last season sums this guy up. great athlete shocking defender

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Djourou has signed a contract extension...

He was already contracted until 2014; but is now contracted until 2015.

=Miss Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

This in itself is a sackable offence. If true.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a terrible right back. As central defender his positioning isn't great. But alongside Per he could be quite good. Think about it. Per's got great positioning but is slow. Djourou has pants positioning but is rapid. Could work.

GoonerDan

Agree0 Disagree0

About a year ago he was playing really well and everyone was raving about him. Then he got injured and has been playing out of position. I think he should be given a chance and is a good 4th choice (would you really worry if the central defence was TV and JD?)

Agree0 Disagree0

He was not playing well a year ago. The forwards were, so he had little to do. He in my opinion is not a premier league player. As i stated before when he concedes a dubious penalty against Bolton last year his reaction alone shows me why he should not be wearing the Arsenal shirt. Why did we need to give him another year its not like anyone was gonna come in for him, and if they did they would then pay a transfer fee for him. Bad decision what ever way you look at it. i would rather have Migel or Barkley as 4th choice CB. We have just commited an extra 2million in wages on someone we did not have too. Bad deal!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Great ,1 s**t player that wouldnt even get in west ham team...wenger not guna sign no one than ....its getting worse

Seems like this summer is going to be a change of guards scene.

From what i have read the big teams are now relying on youth and a few summer buys.

First off, Torres is available. If AVB stays torres goes, unless he can discover some form and start scoring atleast a few goals to end the season.

Higuain, Hazard, Krasic, Khedira, modric are being heavily scouted by chelsea.

Also i did not believe the sturridge news and arsenal following him closely. It looks like he maybe our poor mans hazard.

Possibly with Krasic and Hazard on the wings, Mata a CAM and then someone who can score.

Arsenal are preparing for RVP's departure. landing the 4th spot is not enough. Also madrid more than barcelona are looking at RVP.

barcelona are looking at defenders and that will be their only summer signing, and promotions for a few players from the second team. The team is in a massive debt and apparently used over 70% of this summers budget in recruiting cesc and sanchez. Dont believe the bale to barcelona hype. Summer moves for Affelay and keita and adriano very likely.

Madrid are likely to buy a few big names. They are still trying to persuade neymar, and may even put in a bid for RVP, most of all they seem to want Bale. Raul Albiol is being scouted by City, Khedira and Higuain by chelsea, arsenal and liverpool are lookin at granero, PSG is out on Kaka.

Man city are looking for a defender, a CDM and a striker, i just dont get what they are on about.

I have not heard alot about Man Utd. Spuds maybe in for a raid this summer. Bale, modric, Van Der Vaart, they need a GK, and Adebayors stay seems unlikely too, unless they are ready to pay his obscene wages.

Last but not least Arsenal - We are preparing for a bid on RVP. Clubs around europe are obviously aware of his form and Madrid are willing to spend to land him.

Anyway reading and finding out all this info from various sources, i have come to a conclusion

Why dont we buy sturridge instead of hazard, especially if chelsea land that 4th spot, and are out of the hazard stakes. i somehow find the idea of Sturridge and walcott on either wings very dangerous. And possibly a benzema in the middle...i can dream cant i.

Believable5 Unbelievable21

So you want to dream, and only dream of sturridge and walcott on the wings? even though weve already got 2 better wingers then those 2 in gervinho and chamberlin.
from this whole post it is obvious that you are a chelsea fan, arsenal have a very good chance of winning the fa cup, finishing 3rd, and getting a good run in the chamions league- my prediction semis.
and on the v.persie note, it doesnt matter if we finish fourth or not, v.persie is looking for ambition from the club i.e. improvement of the squad with a major signing which i believe is going to be Hazard for a few reasons- wenger is a massive, massive, MASSIVE fan of him, hazards dream is to play under wenger, arsenal is set up for a player like him, wenger said he will go for him once he becomes available and as far as i know he hasn't been available yet till this summer where hazard said he is ready to move on, and also because he himself said he will be moving to england in the summer and that his 2 favourite teams are real madrid and arsenal.
Waq

Agree0 Disagree0

Man City need a defender (possibly 2) as Kolo will leave in the summer. They will look for a top quality defender and I can't see it being Albiol.

They will look to replace De Jong who looks unlikely to sign a new contract due to limited first team opportunities. The DM will be more of a deep lying playmaker than an out and out ball winner as they remain solid with a midfield of Barry, Milner, Yaya and Nasri. Expect a Milner - Nasri hybrid like Romerou is at Chelsea.

They also clearly need a striker as they are limited upfront with only Agüero, Balotelli and Dzeko, three strikers for two positions and have been lucky with injuries in the striker position this year. I expect a major purchase here but it depends on who is available.

(Sorry this isn't Arsenal related just answering your question on Man City)

Agree0 Disagree0

Won't be Sturridge, he himself said he is not happy playing wide, so why would he go to Arsenal to be a winger? Hazard is coming in the Summer, we'll see.

Agree0 Disagree0

First of i'm not a chelsea fan.

Secondly do you seriously believe RVP will stick around WHEN we fail to make big name signings?

You clearly have not been living in the same world as me. Who exactly have we sold last summer?

Cesc and Nasri = 60 mill.

I must say hes real good at bringing talent on the cheap in Gerv, mert and OX.

But this year if it was not for a fit RVP we would not be in the top 10. He has won us over 78% of our games, him alone with his goals.

Now stop being a fan and put yourself in RVP's spot.

why has he not signed a contract? Is it not to give it one last hurrah and see what wenger can do? So what happens when inevitably wenger says we cant get hazard coz we have no money?

We could have won the league 2 years ago had he bought a defender in january. we could have been in a better position last year to contend if he had bought in january, and once again we are at that same junction.

I love the man and i will support our team. but if for a moment you happen to be a world class player such as RVP, 4-5 years remain in your career, you will sign the last big pay contract of your life and you dont see trophies coming your way. Will you stay to finish off a career of beautiful football without a trophy?

Its easy to be a fan its hard to be a realist.

The sturridge to arsenal banter was only because we were linked to him, and as much as you want to tell me we will sign a £35 mill pound player when according to reports and Hazards agent chelsea are in front.

Agree0 Disagree0

RVP is a smart man, he knows his growing influence and he knows this influence can a) help himself get a better deal ans b) help arsenal push for higher ambition through demanding better players. If we sign he will stay. It's one thing to go to barca or Madrid, but how will he be seen to be the man who helped break arsenal's trophy drought, not only that but to lift trophies as a captain and become a fully fledged arsenal legend!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I can only state what i state every year.

We play a brand of football that is attractive ...yes

But 90% of our players are just looking for a pay cheque. Look at the barca youth...they will sit on the bench for 2-3 years and still give it their best shot. from messi to tello...they all work hard.

now lets look at our squad. Walcott talks too much, djourou talks as if he is the best defender, diaby talk but gets injured, gibbs has done no person training to keep himself fit considering his injury problems, arshavin looks like hes on a holiday, chamakh either doesnt try or tries too hard.

4 years ago wenger needed 2 more years for a trophy, last year he sold two major players, this year he wants hazard but cant afford his fee apparently.

Like the old saying.

Fool me once shame on you
Fool me twice shame on me
Fool me 7 + years well...thank you for the money, do come again next year.

According to Mail, Arsene Wenger is poised to continue his youth transfer policy in the summer with a move for Fiorentina's Matija Nastasic , 18 years old defender.

Believable11 Unbelievable4

Do not believe the daily mail until I see the player with an arsenal top then I will believe. I think they make up the story like the sun.

For people who have watched more of Hazard then me, is there a chance AW is lining him up as a replacement for RVP? Has he played much as striker and is he a decent finisher? Cant c Arsenal chasing him as a winger cuz we have Ox, Ger & Theo. Or will he be attacking central mid? (if we got him)

Believable2 Unbelievable15

Put very simply.. if arshavin goes we will need another winger..

because if two get injured there is only one replacement, and as we play 2 we should always have 2 wingers as backup

Agree0 Disagree0

He Is A Cam Who Usually Plays Left Wing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know if we are truly after him any more sadly. But then again it's impossible to tell. I feel our chance was last summer, and then for us to go for broke this xmas. However Hazard said he wouldn't be moving this Jan so next summer it is, and by then, well, we all know what will happen. Unless he miraculously chooses us over anyone else, there's simply no way we'll fork out for him. If we don't qual for champs league then we won't even be able to sign Shaktar midfielders let alone players like Hazard.

Raz

Agree0 Disagree0

Sadly, I have to agree. Hazard will not join Arsenal without Champions league qualification. That said, I think he recent statements imply that Man City is not an option for him.

I think it would be between Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd. (Maybe Tottenham, depending on bale).

Of those clubs, you have to believe Chelsea would lead the pack. man utd need CM's not attacking players.

Chelsea need young players, need creativity, can afford to pay him well, can afford the transfer fee, have a belgium contigent.

Agree0 Disagree0

True - Man U have Ashley Young there, who IMO is better than Hazard anyway, Chelsea just signed De Bruyne from Genk so again signing Hazard would be pointless so long as both those players want to be first choice.

Liverpool are like us, they need champs league for a player like Hazard - he is not going to take a step down for anyone.

Raz

Agree0 Disagree0

No hazard is a winger, much like gervinho. I am not sure where he would play in our system but it would be safe to say that, if we dont get that Champions league spot then we dont get Hazard.

He wants to start and he wants Champions league football. I think he will choose arsenal if we finish the season strong. Also by adding him we retain RVP

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley Young is better than Eden Hazard? Ehmmm, no.

G95

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Ashley Young is amazing. He may not have the flair and tricks but he's easily as effective but at a bigger club in a better league. I'd have a 20m AY than a 35-40m EH any day!

Has Wenger at long last given a glimpse into our short-term strategy imposed on him?

msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/premierleague/story/arsene-wenger-believes-eden-hazard-could-make-impact-in-premier-league-020712?

Makes sense as he loves to play attractive football and is clearly a winner and a bad loser!

Believable7 Unbelievable3

We are not signing him. we're not signing goetze either. this is just rhetoric to get deluded fans excited that the club may actually show some ambition and people will renew their season tickets next year.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree what a load of crap, AW is part of the business team at Arsenal and the focus is on profits not performance. That's what all Arsenal fans know and the fans are voting by not renewing there season tickets.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea but why would they need to lie to get people tto renew, surely any true fan not a glory hunter would renew anyway due to the love of there team
