Eds, if we do get Sanchez, i'm sure I read that we will be looking to play him upfront? does this mean that we are unlikely to be in for any other World class strikers?
also are you aware of any interest in caulker of cardiff? we need a young center back and he could go on to be a great defender.

Fair play Ed002 - I mean like a jackson martinez or mario, just a big name striker or is sanchez going to be that central figure up top? I know you may not have a say in where he plays just wondered if you hand any idea on how we intend on using him?

Apparently Barca are already selling Suarez shirts (probably black market), with no.9 on the back.

Barca's no.9 is Sanchez.

So Paul Breen turner a British Broadcaster over in Spain confirmed on Twitter today that Juventus have failed in there bid to get Sanchez this morning. Deal has already been agreed now with Arsenal for 40m euros 32mill, also since confirmed by Warren haughton insider trading of this afternoon that Italian sources have confirmed Juventus have pulled out the running and the deal is all but done with with Arsenal! Happy days!

Sanchez is apparently on his way to London to complete a medical with Arsenal after rejecting Juventus.

Eds, can you verify this?

His agent more likely. eds did say he was on holiday.

Think its actually Sanchezs agent, any truth Ed? Spanish Press saying deal should shortly be completed.

Liverpool have admitted defeat in the race to sign Alexis Sanchez, Barcelona received 2 £30m+ bids from Arsenal and Liverpool for he's services which both was accepted. He had the weekend to decide on his future and he now has chosen Arsenal as he wants he family to live in London. Luiz Suarez is not holding up the deal as Barcelona have already activated he's release clause, it's Puma who have put a hold on things as they think this will be a great marketing ploy when kit is released. 10th July this will be made public.

Apparently they are waiting to see if anyone matches the valuation, possibly as sanchez wants to join juventus, they are waiting awhile, also the Eds said sanchez is on holiday so I don't expect it to happen for the next few weeks, in that time it could go very badly for us.

Infact reports suggest that Juve are now no longer in the running for sanchez, they had talks with him but pulled out as they can't compete with Arsenal

Seems Sanchez is now due to fly into london soon to complete a medical with us, with a siginificant rise on his wages to 135k a week, with a 32m price on him

Also seems Barca have given Suarez the No.9 shirt, Alexis's old number

Ed I'm not sure I can wait weeks. Media reported yesterday City have no interest in Sanchez anymore, any truth? & Italian media today all reporting Juve just don't have the money.

I understand what you're saying about the player though, hopefully AW can convince him quickly.
