News from creditable sources reporting fabregas and higuian are in their way in, add fellaini, cesar and maybe another cb and we will be right up there with a chance.

Rooney would be a good signing, however I think a little smoke and mirrors is at play here.

I know I know I am getting sucked into all the hype, but if it doesn't happen this summer it never will.

A lot of money will be thrown around this summer, but if we can get our business done early we will be in great shape for a good pre season, which is where we have been suffering of late.

come on you gooners.

I'm not sure about the higuain rumour, that's just in the limelight as we're after Rooney. Ashley Williams will be the cb we'll get, pretty much a done deal along with cesar, fellaini and sanogo.
Would love sir cesc back but it isn't going to happen, more chance of grenier!

Big mick Micky mcmickerson

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully wenger will sign them players if so we should be up there. Fighting for the league

Agree0 Disagree0

Take Cesc back on a year long loan with the option to buy at the end of it. It would be sickening to see him in another EPL outfit.

Agree3 Disagree0

Fabregas coming in, the fellaini situation is just hoo haa the real target is fab as for strikers could be Rooney and higuain.

If both kos and Tom stay we won't strengthen the back four.

Cesar is a done deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Coincidental that the Agm is on monday!

Agree0 Disagree0

Basically what ray parlour said then!

Agree0 Disagree0

The Sunday Mirror says were in advanced talks with Higuain, so fingers crossed. The Rooney rumour never had legs and we only get first refusal for cesc, but he'd be a person to go anywhere other than utd. They can offer the wages and he''ll win trophys there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Higuain is not just a rumour we are in talks and have contacted his agent and spoken to his father. Williams and Cesar are about 95% done. Fellani will join as we have made contact and said verbally we'd match his clause but right now we are looking at cheaper options first in Lars Bender and Gundogan. Bender is a possibility but Gundogan has just signed a new contract and is happy at the club but Wenger is a big admirer of Fellani and believes he would have an instant impact fill the 'Viera void' in midfield. Grenier will join it's just a matter of will he join straight cash or will Gervinho be in the deal or not.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does everyone want cesc back when Arsenal have cazorla and wilshere (who have more attributes in their game)? so you'd drop one of those to make room for cesc?
cesc is slow and plays too much like an individual, poor work rate, often out of position, doesn't influence big games etc.

Agree0 Disagree3

"we only get first refusal for cesc, but he'd be a person to go anywhere other than utd. They can offer the wages and he''ll win trophys there>"

hang on- isn't that the whole point! We want to start winning trophies again- the shackles may be off (fingers crossed) financially now, so we want to bring players in to turn us into a winning/competing club again. Where's your ambition and loyalty? Or are you a utd fan. I wonder.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did anyone see Caesar last season. Inter were no mugs by selling him. He is still a good player but personally by looking at his mistakes last season, he is more clumsy then Szczesny.

Arsenal bid 20m for Higuain, Madrid want 26m a deal can and should be agreed, probably around 23m as a compromise but Wednesday.

Sky Italia reporting Rooney is our main target

Other news, although Sagna is in talks over a new contract if he doesn't sign Arsenal remain interested in Micah Richards despite his new contract and will test City's resolve.

"MARCA report Arsene met with Higuain reps on Friday. Meeting went well. All that is needed is to agree a fee. Madrid want £26million

Arsenal are not currently willing to pay £26million, but their opening offer is around £20million

that should do it"

Not my source but this guy has got many transfers correct so let's see with this one.

arsene wenger met with higuain in france and I hope they came to some sort of agreement

Believable85 Unbelievable29

Would he impede the development of giroud? He showed glimps of being great and with the right support behind him (jovetic) he could be amazing

Agree2 Disagree3

He could, but the question remains, do we have time to wait for strikers to become good, or do we buy strikers with proven quality, spurs are getting closer and closer each season

Agree3 Disagree0

No he wouldn't impede he would enhance the whole team, I hope this is true as he is a great player and can play as a target man or an out the box player where as jovetic is actually overly hyped

Agree5 Disagree0

Personally think he would help Girouds game. Higuians arrival wouldn't mean Girouds complete exclusion from 1st team football either. Saying that, with the arrival of another (much needed) striker, I can see Walcott throwing his toys out of the pram.

Agree4 Disagree0

To the first reply. When you consider Higuain is a year YOUNGER than Giroud, then I would not be concerned whether he will impact Girouds development or not. Higuain is already better than Giroud, and with his age should mean he be priority in the development aspect. I like Giroud, a lot, but if he's not as good as Higuain now then he never will be. I pray we sign him

Agree2 Disagree0

Really hope this is true, but since Higuain was playing for Argentina yesterday it seem a little unlikely that he met with Arsene in Paris.

Agree2 Disagree0

To the poster above, it was his agent and father/ or rep who met AW

Agree1 Disagree0

No it's that his father met with Wenger in Paris

Agree1 Disagree0

Awkward how AW is in Israel covering Frances Under 21 games for a french broadcaster ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

There's a lot of time between Monday the last French u21's last match to today for Wenger to have made the journey to negotiate a transfer. He has responsibilities at Arsenal first and foremost before being a TV broadcaster or commentator. He missed a match due to transfer negotiations already.

There are these wonderful things these days called private jets! Get you places in no time. It's easy to get to paris and back with in a couple of hours and higuain could have easily have travelled by jet over night to get to paris for the meeting

Agree0 Disagree0

And his PADRE TOO. ah
