If we buy another CB we have a great first 11 and Squad.

I hear we maybe in for a young English CB from the championship. I would be happy if we don't buy Rodriguez and keep Monreal and Gibbs at LB and bought a word class CB instead but you never know.

Maybe this new scout from Leicester has a few diamonds up his sleeve as well.

Mouthwatering isn't it?

What happened to my post ED, that's only the second half of it.

{Ed033's Note - your post was split into 3 to avoid it all going on the arsenal teams page.

I agree that we need a CB and Varane, if he can be purchased, would be my choice. I disagree with the LB position, as I am not impressed by either of our current players. I would like Rodriguez and Chillwell. We also need a RB, as Debuchy and Jenkinson were loaned out and neither player will feature at the club next season. Whilst Chambers was found wanting at RB and has been moved to CB.

Good news, Vardy has agreed to join us but announcement delayed until after the euros as he doesn't want the spotlight taking off the England team mates.

Just goes to show what a great team worker he is
Wenger is trying to do deal for marhez as well.

Hi ED´s

Now hearing City is in advanced talks with Aubamayang. is there any chance Arsenal will try for him too?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - highly unlikely.}

Hey Ed's,

Thanks for all you do here, it's very much appreciated.

What do you make of the Moussa Sissoko story? Do you think Arsenal would be interested after we've got Xhaka?

Thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - the story originates from Sissoko's end, with him being desperately keen to join Arsenal. Shame it is highly unlikely to happen as Wenger is not as keen.}

Ah shame, I like him as a player and I doubt he'll stick around to play in the Championship.

Thanks Ed.

{Ed001's Note - he is very very keen to move on.}

Hi Ed,

Whatever happened to our interest in Lyon's Fekir?

Thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - last I heard his cruciate injury had put the blocks on any transfer, even though he was back for the end of the season, teams were still waiting to see how he gets on next season before moving for him.}

Thanks Ed.

YEs - he needs another year to prove fitness and get back to his best.

If Lacazette goes, its a chase for him to shine.

Any truth in the Mkhitaryan rumours? Would be a good addition if he can play on the right.

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

Ed 001 do you know what stage talks are at?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - stage? What does that even mean? I am not sure how to answer that mate. It doesn't really go in steps that you can follow. Sometimes clubs will let clubs discuss terms with players in advance of any kind of fees being talked over. Other clubs will not the buyer go anywhere near the players until everything is agreed. The lad is available for sale, Arsenal want to buy him, they have been quoted a price. Up to them to sort the deal now before someone else does. Dortmund would have liked to keep him, but he made excessive demands, so they are looking to sell. The question is whether Arsenal would be willing to meet his demands, rather than any talks between the clubs being an issue.}

To gibe Peter some benefit of doubt, let's pretend that his question actually is:

"In this instance, where the club are still trying to negotiate a contract, are they actually listening to bids, or turning them away until later in the summer? "

Beyond that as you say, its impossible to know wht is getting done at what stage.

Agents have a lot of battles to fight in order to get a deal done, and so they take any win they can get (at any time) .

I have to be honest, the more I read the various articles on this, the more it feels like the media needed to link us to someone, as they were running out of "Breaking New: Vardy Thinks" articles.

With juventus closing in on miralem pjanic I think they will not be pursuing mikhitrayan, so I guess its between chelsea and us, I guess playtime will be an issue at chelsea with willian, hazard, and cesc and matic in midfield, whereas we can give him the right wing position. But I would assume it to be us vs chelsea, I guess if we lose out we may inquire about mahrez.
