He said he wants to leave we paying him what he wants then talking bull mate sorry honestly don't care if he goes
Agree1

And you know this exactly how? Did Van Persie tell you he won't sign a new contract until the deadwood leave? Honestly, tell us how you know this clearly factual little titbit?

Deluded. He won't change his mind

Is this your opinion or do you have a source... so long as hes not sold to untd or city im not fussed what happens any mre, gota focus on the whole team
Agree0

He wants to go to utd...stop making out you are in the know
Agree0

I think it's all up in the air. If webber can offload:
Squelch
Arshavin
Chamakh
That about 150 in wages. Let's 30-50 used to improve theo; that 100-120 for RVP.
Then again, do we want pay that much to keep a player on the bench for 2 yrs (assuming injuries return)?

The truth is no one knows what is happening to Rvp as arsenal and Rvp are playing it very close to the chest. He didnt refuse to go training in germany or pre season and In training he does seem like his working hard with the team and happy. Which does say a lot as others that have left arsenal in the past have refused to do this and have pushed a transfer request. Which again he hasn't done, Though he is a gentlemen and a proffessional generally so could be just out of respect... again like the comment above its so up in the air and arsenal fans are hating the delays but we have to bare it and I really hope he resigns as he has been brilliant for us recently and got us champions league last season. I wish fans would stop slating him as you don't know what's going on behind close doors but he does.
Agree2

The person a bove van persie said he will not sign a newdeal with arsenal and he dont thing were are going the right direction so i think aresenal sould sell him to psg for 30 and get in dzeko as his replacement he is a lot better than rvp and i wish he would leave he has only had one gd seaon at arsenal so it shows u that we will not win a thing with him at are club he is like nasri money tured his head
Agree0
Disagree1
Dzeko better than RVP? All of this transfer window stress is making people go crazy...
Colorado Gunner
Agree0

Dzeko is at City, what wages do you think he is on and what would we offer him?
Agree0
Disagree0
Two the above comment saying that van persie will. Be sold for 30 mill to psg. Hahah
Agree0
Disagree1
Dzeko is unbelievably overrated.
Agree0

I agree with the other guy we all don't know what behind closed doors, I think RVP still want to stay as he hasn't hand in request, obey's his normal duties. To me' so fer he is being a gentle man, I think if he realize the worth of the fellowship he already have at arsenal with a bit more decent contract' i believe he'l stay. And for those fans that doesn't know the meaning of having a team with a tradition of
losing players just when at their peak, Its a shame to say to them Arsenal don't need those kind of fans, so pls bck off go support your XBOX 11 fantasy squads and stop deluding our team.
Agree0

Get a life!! It's getting boring, talk of RVP should now be banned from this site it's boring the s**t out of me.
Agree0
Disagree0
If he hands in a transfer request he looses a bonus so that's probably the reason, I'd of though RVP had quality class but after that statement it's hard to believe

Believable28

Great news watched a lot of Barcelona games and this kid is quality another Pires in the making
Agree0

Not sure what is worse. The person who posted this garbage originally or the person who replied with "great news".
Agree2

Song is arsenal blood. We need to keep our first 11 from last season to build. Every season for years now we've sold at least 1 first team player. This hinders a build dramatically. It ends up being more of a repair than a build.
Agree7
Disagree0
There have been absolutely no solid quotes for this rumour. It's completely baseless. I don't think Alex Song is going anywhere, in fact I think that he is one of the first names on the team sheet and will continue to be so.

Barca new manager said after the Man U game that Tello isnt going anywhere and they would b stupid to sell him. They expect him to b the next big thing. The rumour started because he wasnt given a squad number, however their manager said Tello is still deciding what number he wants.
Agree0

Smart idea, selling one of the top performers of last season. total rubbish rumours
Agree1

Song is not going anywhere you fool. One of the best players in the prem last season
Rob
Agree0

Don't get me wrong I don't want Song to be sold, but some people's logic is crazy. Just because he performed really well last season and is the first name on the team sheet has no relevance on whether he is sold or not.
Does Fabregas and Nasri ring any bells?
In Arsene I Trust.

Tello and Affellay for Song sounds like a good deal to me.

Where do people get this info from? It makes little sense in business (that's what running a football club is) to show your competitors your hand. Let's just wait and see, we'll know what happens with RVP when we NEED to know

I do agree with the above but i just want rvp out now. his situation has draged on and its bringin every1 down. just go rvp ur not wanted

Can someone please SHOW me the direct quotes from VP where he says he wants to go.
Grow up guys, because of his statement where he said he would not sign a new contract because we are not showing ambition (he ment in the transfer market) we have gone out and bought 3 ready to go class players.
Now if you guys cant see he has actually done us a favour your blind!

He will stay a Gooner, who on Earth would want to be living in Manchester by choice !

We have a better squad than man utd. We have showed ambition. If he moves its purely about money.
Agree0

You don't have a better squad than united, and the stock broker belt where he will be living in hale or Bowden has more millionaires vs population than Mayfair or Knightsbridge . Arsenal fans are deluded, you have won nothing forco long. I am not Suprised heis wanting out.

This is per Mertesacker talking about the coming season. See where they have outlined the fact that every position "has competition" surely the only real competition there is for the striker roles would be Giroud and RVP.. I know they've been trying Gervinho out up front and even walcott but I'm not sure about this one, it seems a bit suspect.
"I think we have a better situation than last year," he told Arsenal Player. "The team is full of characters, good players and every position [has competition]. So I am looking forward to the season because I think we can show the potential we have in a better way than last year.

Podolski can play striker also.

Whats the point
Agree0

Of course we have a better striking situation than last year. Giroud and Podolski are gigantic improvements over Chamakh and Park.
Agree1
Disagree0
I would say the only position we do not have competition for places is right back. Sagna is guaranteed to start every game he is fit.
Agree0
Disagree0
Why don't you try to get behind your team for once? Jesus, if you're so sceptical maybe you should switch to supporting West Ham and sing I'm forever blowing bubbles...
I for one am sick of all these 'glass half empty' fans
Agree1

Of course we have a nice attack if v Perdue stays it will b madness better then man utd attack
Agree0

So signing the joint top goal scorers in the Bundeslige and the French Ligue 1 isn't competition for the striker role? Must try harder.
Agree0

I think we'll see on Sunday against Koln what we are lacking/not lacking. Remember - rightly or wrongly the transfer window is open until the last day of August ...

Where in there did it say I wasn't behind my team? It was just a theory suggesting that RVP might not be leaving after all, which is of-course what we are all hoping for but I'm sure we'll do just fine without him if he does up sticks now. calm down.
Sceptical Gooner ;)

The only place we don't have competition is cdm and rb.

I agree. Looks like we've a few workers and experienced players in the tema for the coming season.

Greeeeaaaaaaaaaat, an arsenal fan already putting downers on next season. Per's right,t he whole vibe and function of th club is totally different to last year. We have a real strike force, a midfield loaded with talent, 4 decent CBs (Kos, Verm, Mert, Bartley) with one insurance policy (Djourou), we are likely to add a RB and have enough to cover LB with Santos and Coquelin available.
We are compensating for injured or off-form players (Sahin for Wilshere, Santi to usurp Rambo and Rosicky in ACM role), we have competition for places everywhere.
So not really sure of the point of this post? Per's right, so why do you sound unhappy? We aren't even finished in the TF market! By the end of the summer we'll be in a position where Diaby is not guaranteed a start just because he's fit - that is MASSIVE for us believe it or not.. and we're looking at signing a proper DM. How can you not be happy?

Scepticall Gooner - I re-read your post and realise I may have got the wrong idea about what your angle was. I didn't say anything though because it's taken well over 6 hours for my above post to come through, so I didn't think it was going to, sorry!
I re-read and yeah to be fair it doesn't seem as though you're putting a downer on things, so I apologise there mate.
Hope this comes through, otherwise I'll just look like a 'person' as this site says :D
