Harry Redknapp has apparently said that new defender Christopher Samba is attracting interest from an unnamed big club. I would still class Arsenal as a big club and I am sincerely hoping that we are that club. He'd bring strength, height and experience to the squad. Just what we need.

This is Arsenal you're talking about - not some mid table nobody team. Don't you have any standards?
Wenger had countless chances to sign him, why now?
i call bs on this

To expensive for someone very avg.
The fact we didn't push hard enough to pick him up before he jumped to Russia should indicate our level of interest. plus, he'd have to take a big pay-cut to come here.
he's still massive in the air and can spot a ball coming in, but he's lost pace and agility. would be a bum deal for us. if we're really looking to bench any of Per, Verminator or Kos, i'd rather hope we spend on a bigger name than Samba.

It's rubbish. Harry is trying to justify paying £12.5 million for him. He's no better than TV, Per or Kos. We do need better CB's but Samba is not that.

Of course Arsenal are big club, I look at clubs proven history down the years not some mega rich waller buying it in 5 minutes, only an person would surely say different like the trash on talktripe radio or our media for example or sadly the people who listen and read them and somehow believe it?
Perhaps your memory has lapsed when Arsene did not buy Samba from Blackburn for the asking price of £18M ho ho, and Samba's £100. 000 per week salary in line with Cahills " needs " from Bolton at the same time even Chelski spent a long time agreeing his salary. I do not think it is remotely conceivable Arsene would consider such extravagance, this is Harry trying to justify his extravagance. Calm down dear its only gossip Gonner realist
