Podolski will probably sign a new contract at koln just cuz he himself knows he's not good enough to play anywhere but his current team we should be looking elsewhere for a better striker like Rossi at villareal when he returns from injury

Believable9 Unbelievable18

Hulk! Its time to spend big and maintaining our top 4 status is crucial! Porto luuuvs big money, they will sell, its what they do. Make them an offer they can`t refuse.
Ezdee

Agree9 Disagree17

His clause is more than 80m get real

Agree12 Disagree3

The club that wouldnt spend over 20m on mata will never spend 83m on anyone

Agree9 Disagree1

Podolski isn't good enough? Are you sure?
Raz

Agree3 Disagree6

SHould have bought Diego Forlan about 3 years ago - the guy is 2nd only to Bergkamp in technical terms. Flopped at Utd but we play more to his style

Agree1 Disagree6

I'm sure he's not good enough, koln team is set up for podolski to score, arsenal would have to change there whole setup, it would be like what's happened to Carroll he only scored at castle cuz the team was setup for him, that's why he's doin so pants at Liverpool, need a player that is good in his own right and that we wouldn't have to replace half the team to acomdate

Agree1 Disagree1

I dont think he is going to be an answear to our prayers his goal recored is not that great at Munich he played 71 games and scored 15 and at Fc Koln he has played 75 games and scored 29,
he is bang on form this season with 16 games 14 goals but takes him a while to settle and have we got time for him to adpet to the EPL we need someone to come and score srtaight away i would say with proven ablity in the EPL a must.
Defoe,Tevez,Bent,Ba,Berbebtov ?

Agree2 Disagree3

Forgot to sign off again
spanner

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real? You think the buy out of 80 million is real? It's just a figure thrown onto him to keep teams away until they, Porto, are ready to sell him. When they feel it's time do you think they will be asking for 80 mil? Get real ! It doesn't hurt to put a bid in and see if they can be persuaded to sell. As far as Mata goes, you do realize the player has to agree to come as well as meeting the buy out clause. And given our summer debacle with the doubt of Cesc n Nasri remaining at AFC, do you blame Mata for not coming? You honestly think it was just about money?
Ezdee
Ezdee

Agree1 Disagree1

Podolski will score goals for us. set up doesnt matter wen he plays for germany hes on the wing and he scores and assists and at coln he plays upfront and he scores and assists. simple

Agree2 Disagree0

And why is koeln set up for podolski to score, because he IS scoring. And thats what WE need...

DrchoGooner

Agree2 Disagree0

He didn't score at bayern tho he's not a big club player so no it's not simple you are tho

Agree1 Disagree3

Why people insist on this Podolski rumour is beyond reason; the chances are he won't come so whats the point in arguing over it?

If you want something to argue about how about this: Daily Star are saying that the Ox wants out because Wenger gives him a hard time and doesn't play him enough. Google it yourselves, it's far more of a pressing matter than this supposed Podolski move.

Plus there is actual evidence of it, even if it is comments stolen from his Twitter feed!

Lol I don't know what is worse, people who use twitter or guys like me who hate it but respond to any comments that appear as if they meant something in real life.

Rosicky and Almunia left out of the squad for FA Cup game vs Leeds. As far as I know they are both fit, can anyone confirm this?

GoonerDan {Ed007's Note - Both are fit as far as I know Dan.}

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Thanks Ed! I know this is presumptious but I know Wolfsburg have a long standing interest in Rosicky and Magath the coach is friends with Wenger. I think we'd let him go for 2-3mill.
Almunia hopefully thats the end, dunno where he would go probably Spain but I dont care tbh or about the fee.

Agree13 Disagree3

Almunia is off.

Rosicky/Per were both ill - Last minute adjustments.

=M.A.

Agree9 Disagree2

In saying the above ^ Have actually heard Rosicky's "illness" could be due to something involving Galatasaray or Wolfsburg.

Nothing concrete just rumours floating around, atm.

=M.A.

Agree2 Disagree2

Time to let them both go, i reckon a 4/5 millio pound bid for marvin sordell would be worth a go surely

bs18

Agree2 Disagree2

Sordell doesn't look that good from what I've seen- he just has a big shot on him.
Raz

Fast, strong, good touch and decnt finisher, whether he would be arsenal standard is another matter but cant be worse than bendtner or chamakh

Ok this is quite funny, but TalkShizzle are saying Reus could still be in line to join us.

I thought that he'd just signed to Dortmund?

Can anyone confirm this? Coz TalkSpite are saying that he's agreed to join them in the summer, which does of course leave it wide open...

Raz

Believable3 Unbelievable6

TalkShiz ==> Daily Mail ==> The stuff you say when your asleep and drooling

All rubbish lol

CS {Ed001's Note - the last one is the most reliable I would say!}

Agree5 Disagree0

Heard he signed and got loaned back to Mönchengladbach

Agree3 Disagree0

He has a but out clause in his Dortmund contact of £30 Million so we could buy him for that but as we didn't take the chance at £15-17 i cant see us paying 30 now just Talksport talking S**T as usual

Goetze rumour update:

Dortmund have signed Reus long term, meaning they now have 8 forwards (4 out and out, 4 winger forwards)

Does this mean Goetze might be leaving? He is contracted until 2014 as we know so would not be cheap. But looking at Dortmund in terms of squad they have an overload of good strikers now, which is unusual.

Just a thought .... He is 19 and could easily have his head turned by Wenger in the same way Van Persie and Cesc did. Let's hope so!

CS

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a £30m move for the midfielder this month while Manchester United are said to hold an interest.
However, Gotze has admitted he would be willing to extend his stay with the Bundesliga champions, with his current contract set to expire in two-years time.
"Of course I can imagine extending my contact at Dortmund," he said in Bild newspaper.
"I have always said how at home I feel here. And nothing has happened to change that.
"I have my family and friends here. And the whole Borussia Dortmund package with the coach and the team is simply outstanding."
The addition of Reus if anything could be more reason for Goetze to stay in his country and for the club he loves. Shows ambition by the club to show him how serious BVB are! Ambition, I wonder if the board at Arsenal have any idea what that word means when referring to football not business!
Ezdee

Agree6 Disagree2

Gotze has said recently in the media he will probably extend his contract at Dortmund..

Agree2 Disagree1

Definitely not this January. I'm sure there will be a lot of interest over the Summer especially after the Euro's where he will almost certainly show his quality to the masses ala Ozil at the World Cup 2010.

Therefore unless we get in there with a brilliant offer I can't see us being able to compete.

Gilo

Agree5 Disagree0

Goetze is just a kid, at 19 he is likely to say whatever is in his head at the time.

Wenger is good at convincing these gifted kids to come to Arsenal, so if we ever had a chance it is now that BVB are abundant with striker talent.

My guess is that they are well aware of Goetze's youth and that his agent will no doubt be looking to move him on so he can pocket his fee. Also they know they will get a large fee themselves so they have hedged their bets and bought up a load more strikers.

It's all guesswork but I think it's safe to say that Goetze will be out of Germany in the next 18 months, whether that is to Arsenal remains to be seen.

But I will say this: The Goetze rumour in my eyes, now has far more legs than the Podolski rumour.

He is a Wenger type signing, and German fans have been smoozing him all over, saying he is the 'next Henry'.

I'd say this rumour is now 'lukewarm' :) rather than hot since it is Arsenal and we all know how reluctant they are to buy players that aren't available on cheap deals.

We shall see, here is hoping!

CS

Agree4 Disagree2

Haha if you think your getting a player like goetze you must be mad. struggle to keep your best players, who arent even on a par with him, let alone convincing him to join you.
back to south london you go.

Yid

Agree4 Disagree11

Yid, as good as he is, he is no Cesc Fabregas.

Away back to the Spuds page with yourself.

With the rumours gathering pace about Solomon Kalou apparently close to joining us, why would AW get another pacy right footed, hit and miss player, who is at the African nations cup anyway?
Kalou is very similar to both Walcott and Gervinho.

FAB

Believable15 Unbelievable6

So true

Agree6 Disagree0

Kalou is a poor mans Walcott so the logic holds. but we actually have the real walcott so I guess that bins that particular rumour.

It's been funny today hasn't it? All sorts of stuff appearing and disappearing

CS

Agree4 Disagree3

I would like Kalou at Arsenal because he mostly played LW before AVB came to Chelsea and he was quite prolific seeing as he didnt get many starts. I think he would be great singing and a few million isnt too dear for a player who has a lot of EPL and champions league experience.

Agree7 Disagree2

Kalou is a decent player, who would probably benefit from a move. I would be pleased if we sign him & sell Arshavin, who has been woeful, as of late.

Agree9 Disagree2

Please sign kalou and take malouda, mikel and bosingwa with you

Demba ba is rumoured to be in contract talks with arsenal and is also rumoured to be watching tonoghts fa cup game agaist leeds {Ed002's Note - From a hotel in Africa?}

Believable3 Unbelievable13

No chance,
for only 5million would have to wages of 110,000+ would get blown out the water by PSG and city etc
spanner

Agree3 Disagree1

Ba is a joke rumour. He has a clause in his contract for £10m (unverified info) so anyone can afford him. Why would he join us with RVP in amazing form. I think he'll go to Chelski, PSG or get a nice payrise and stay at the Toon. Stop pumping this random, nonsensical rubbish on the site!

GibGooner

Agree2 Disagree0

Ha ha this is surely scraping the barrel?
Why is it nobody leaves a name with a rumour like this?
Raz

Agree3 Disagree0

How the hell would you know what the lad watches on his telly? LOOOOOL

Don't believe it for a second!

CS

Agree4 Disagree1

I still think this would be a great signing.....but the rumour is a joke. to be fair i did hear that he's in Carl Jenkinson's book club.

Oleg Maputo

Agree2 Disagree0

He is linked with Berekum Arsenal a team in ghana you mean . LoL just joking but demba ba to arsenal ...Unlikely.
1732

Agree1 Disagree0

I think that the whole 10 million release clause is some rubbish rumour that his agent spread about to try and either get him a better club and/or better payrise, thats how they earn there money but fairplay its at least brought some comical comments to the site lol. {Ed007's Note - Karen Brady seems to be getting the blame for letting it slip about a release clause.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Fairplay then i wasnt aware of this myself. I do howevever have 1 question tho EDD's how does that work. Surely if you sell a player on there would be something in the negotiating contract to stop this sort of thing. i am no buisness man but if someone head hunted and took a member of my staff via a contract i.e. sold on, or was the buying client i would not pass this information on so it does seem a little strange is all.

Gavsta {Ed001's Note - she is not supposed to, if it was her she can get in a lot of trouble for this, but then she is not noted for being a nice trustworthy person. Clauses are meant to be confidential and all parties will almost certainly have signed an NDA.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we missed our chance with ba. We should have got him in the summer. AW missed a trick there.

Demba Ba (5.5 mil release clause)
Junior Hoilett (5-7 million - 6months left on contract)

And a LB on Loan...

Guaranteed top 4 finish.....Simples.. For once in your life in the transfer window..Wenger do the obvious

Believable5 Unbelievable9

Wear is everyone getting the release clauses from Im pretty sure no one knows for sure what it is I dont think newcastle would make this public knowledge

Agree5 Disagree0

Demba ba for 5.5m? Doubt it very much, Newcastle are hardly the most naive when it comes to transfers and I doubt, unless Demba ba had a major decision in the amount, that he would go for under 10m.

Agree5 Disagree2

Look at the news in the last few days..it has been confirmed that his release clause is under 7 mil...

Agree3 Disagree0

According to loads of sources the clause is actually £10m

Raz

Agree2 Disagree1

You're right Newkie wouldn't want that known, but the players agent would love a bidding war - regardless of if the player wants to leave or not.

Because anything that happens leave or stay, the more fuss there is the more money the agent gets.

Sad but that's how agents tend to work, greedy b**tards!

CS

Agree2 Disagree1

It's dirty Harry that is stirring it and bringing up the release clause and then making out that it was only a small release clause. Am I the only one that thinks that it is double standards when only six month ago he was complaining about chrlsea

Agree4 Disagree0

"Dirty Harry"

I wouldn't listen to anything he says in terms of monetary figures, he earns millions yet still manages to 'forget' how much tax he should be paying!

Two bob I think is the phrase doing the rounds! Hehe

CS

Agree4 Disagree1

Its been confirmed by Harry Redknapp, he's more wormy than Wormtongue, don't believe a word he says and anyway, why on earth would he know what Demba ba's release clause is? Didn't realise he dealt with them.

Agree2 Disagree0

It was Harry that brought up the subject of him having a release clause when he was talking about his targets and then when someone put to him that the release clause was £7 million he said it was lower than that

Daily Mail are claiming that Kalou has flown back from the Ivory Coast training camp to talk to us about a move.

Can't say the prospect of Kalou coming is too exciting......

Believable8 Unbelievable8

Yeah I dont think he will move to us PSG are interested according to Gunnerblog source on Twitter. I think he has 6 months left and want 90k a week so either PSG buy him now and give him that or he waits til the summer, leaves on a free and gets either 90k or more. He does like us and Wenger though which is in our favour but probably either PSG or a bosman in the summer.

GoonerDan

Agree4 Disagree0

He can keep keep Arshavins current spot on the bench warm after we sell him on. Other than that or perhaps as competition for Walcott / Oxy I can't really see what good he will do.

Hopefully it's just more of the same garbage the Daily Mail trots out each January

Believable5 Unbelievable12

I hope not, he's just going to be another layabout squaddie not really going to help things. D'oh!

CS

Agree4 Disagree5

You mean Kalou? And you're basing this off of very untrusted and unreliable Twitter sources I'm taking it, who're saying he's flown into London to complete the deal?

Agree1 Disagree1

Where do you get this info from? Who are the other players?

Sally

Agree1 Disagree1

Would this be the same Kalou who his presently on African Nations duty? Befire you post your nonsense maybe have a think about it first

Agree2 Disagree2

Im aware he was away with Ivory Coast. WAS away, he has flown back. As reported on SSN. As for the other players, the Matias Suarez story is true, however doubts over a work permit are hanging over a possible deal. Arsenal will be taking a few days to see if a permit would be given before working on personal terms with the player. Interesting.

Agree2 Disagree2

It's not nonsense when several sources are claiming he's flown back to London, it happens all the time.

Although at present AFC are now denying.

arsenal need another striker and a wingback or again it'll be no trophies this season! wenger has alot of resource at his disposal so why not actually use it and give the team a chance! if Van Persie got injured arsenal would struggle, not to create chances but to score them, look at the recent results, every game been firmly in control but unable to score, walcott is awful arshavin just cant seem to recoup any form and hes 30 now so time to let him go, i actually think chamaqh could score and do a job, but he is very lazy and not getting enough games. Gervhinio would be a top player if he didnt have a panic attack every time he got near the box, and we had the chance to get benzema a year ago and never took it as usual.

What about jelavic from rangers, could get him on the cheap mabey 8 million the guy will score goals with our service, or perhaps if were gonna resign ppl, JAReyes from athletico, this guy is still top quality

Believable4 Unbelievable12

Reyes just signed back to Sevilla this transfer window.

BU

Agree5 Disagree2

Andy johnson from city would be a great buy if we could get him, and the johnson for fulhem is alvailbe on the cheap if wenger does not want to spend a lot of money would be a good back up better then are other options
spanner

Agree3 Disagree10

Adam johnson from city

Agree6 Disagree3

Adam Johnson from City would be amazing! hehe but I don't see them selling us any players as they now see us as their direct rival for their newly staked out top4 spot.

Maybe people think because they are at the top of the league this year that they now don't consider any of the teams below them as rivals. I tend to disagree, Mancini is a smart guy, he knows that until they have actually won the league a few times and have a settled squad after doing so, that they are always going to be rivalling the usual top4 suspects. That is United, Chelsea, Liverpool and us - regardless of this blip of a year we are seeing with Tottenham and Newcastle crashing the party.

CS

Agree4 Disagree2

Adam Johnson, I am always impressed with him and I don't know why he doesn't start for England to be honest...

He would be a brilliant addition imagine him and the Ox either side that would be pure attacking bliss...

Gilo

Agree5 Disagree1

Jelavic is overated hooper from celtic wud b a better buy, imo i think we shud buy agbonlahor or bent iv always liked them 2 bcuz of their pace and strength and eye 4 goal

belfastgooner

Agree2 Disagree2

Adam Johnson just signed a new long term contract with city a few months ago...

Agree3 Disagree0

Jelavic is a great player if u give him the right service, the past month or so at rangers, he hasnt been getting the service from the midfield hence his poor form, but with a good midfield like the one arsenal have, jelavic would bag alot of goals for arsenal!

Agree0 Disagree2

09 Jan 2012 07:45:40
Look to some experience and solid holding midfielder to replace suspensions and injuries instead of using pure garbage sign up Nigel de Jong, he's out of favour at city for some reason we could have a solid midfield song,de Jong(cdm)Walcott (rw) wilshere (cam) Gervinho (lw)

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Hes out of favour cause hes a an absoloute nutjob. Good Player though {Ed001's Note - he is out of favour because of a contract dispute.}

Agree3 Disagree1

Doubt whether DeJong would leave now the Toure's have been called up

Agree3 Disagree1

Midfield is not an issue we have a luxuary of selection, Ramsey, Song, Arteta, Diaby, Rosisky, Benayoun and Wiltshire is coming back, all top players no point wasting money on someone else, unless its gonna be someone like Goetze

Agree7 Disagree4

I know a lot of people disagree but De Jong is pants. He doesn't work hard enough, is dangerous, and on yesterday's showing he actually doesn't seem to enjoy defending too much. Go watch Welbeck's goal, and watch De Jong do Clichy. I'd rather we got Samba (who loves going forward) and stuck him in midfield than De Jong.

Raz

Agree3 Disagree3

I am pretty sure Samba is off to QPR. Shame though he would have been good at Arsenal

CS

Agree2 Disagree4

Really? He's a fool, he should stay at Blackburn!
Raz

Agree3 Disagree1

Remember when we wanted felipe Melo and Juve and Firentina cadged up a scheme to up his price - he would be a good addition butmy feeling is that AW was always planning to let Fab go and replace with Wiltshire, Ramsey and SOng running midfield - just need to keep injury free.

Same with Full backs, 4 cenbtre halfs can defend but not attack lie full backs - shame Santos is going to be a Gooners great in time

Same friend from Paris just replied to me to say, that Podolski is very very unlikely to move again from Kohln. Apparently the only reason he left before is because they were relegated and he was young and stupid (in his own words).

Now he has returned, it's a bit like Henry coming back to Arsenal - the club revere his talent and he is a focus point of the team.

So I think it's about time we put the rumours of him coming to England to bed, unless anybody has anything of substance to say in defence of what seems to be yet another rash piece of rumour mongering.

He seems to be a popular player now amongst board users but we should not let his popularity rating cloud our judgement. Google his name and read the reports yourselves people don't listen to me I am just like you lot, interested spectator with a few friends in footy circles.

CS

Believable3 Unbelievable9

CS you REALLY seem like you're against Podolski/Arsenal and will say anything to debunk it.

I'm gonna say this again though... Koln/AFC have been discussing Podolski since we played them, in Pre-Season.

Podolski HIMSELF in an interview on SSN Germany said he WANTS TO PLAY IN ENGLAND, FOR ARSENAL PREFERABLY and it may very well be this winter, it'll be a tough decision for him.

=Miss Arsenal.

Agree6 Disagree4

I've nothing against Podolski what a strange thing to say!

I just have been a gooner long enough to know when a bad rumour is a bad rumour; lol it's not like I wouldn't like him to sign - just that everybody seems to be basing it on unrealistic hopes. I asked people if they could give sources so I could check ages ago and none have so far arrived!

I can see you are one of the hopers though, so I hope you get your wish. Me though, I have suffered enough disappointment and can reason that:

- Since there is no real evidence
- Since there is no actual club reports
- He is not a Wenger signing

And that the rumours appear based on gossip alone, that Podolski will not be arriving. Sorry but that's just how I see it.

Notice I haven't said that of Goetze even though I doubt he will sign, because there have been rumblings within the club for ages about him.

And to be honest I am getting a bit bored of hearing his name before anything concrete has come out too.

Think about it? How many other players and their agents have supposedly said they want to play in England, specifically for Arsenal?

The only one that had any substance was Mata and even that was a longshot!

How do you know the club are discussing Podolski? I would love to see how you know that because as far as I know there are no discussions, but i'd love to be proven wrong on this occassion :)

Sorry to come across so sure, though I am pretty sure. Come on then let's have a look at your sources, maybe you know something I don't.

CS

Agree2 Disagree5

Regarding your friend from Paris and the PSG / Wenger rumour, he seems to have forgotton that Carlo Ancelloti has recently signed a two and a half year deal to become their new manager and so I would expect him to have a lot to say about this rumour - wouldn't you?

Agree2 Disagree1

Arsenal are buying him in the summer when hes on a free {Ed002's Note - Podolski will not be on a "free" in the summer.}

Agree1 Disagree4

I'm sure I just said a minute ago that he would not be going there as manager. Oh well perhaps you missed it...

Are you too lazy to do your own research? I watched the interview... How is it rumour if it's not "claimed" or "Understood" it was there on the TV?

=M.A

Agree1 Disagree0

=Miss Arsenal,

I gave out to you about this before. What makes you so right?

You say you saw an interview on Sky Sports Germany..even if what you say is true, it doesnt mean that his club have to sell for one. Secondly, why don't you listen to Mr. Wenger who has clearly stated he is looking for a defender and a defender only.

Anyway, my point is, you saw one interview that nobody else will back you up on and you seem to think you are in the know.

Mate get over yourself. Podolski (as much as I would like him to be) WILL NOT MOVE TO ARSENAL IN JANUARY.

+Mr. Arsenal

Agree4 Disagree2

Research my love isn't watching telly

CS

Agree2 Disagree1

"Research my love isn't watching telly"

Your argument is completely invalid. You make points about how many times a player or their agent has been REPORTED to have said something - I understand this and I agree.

However, you're purposely avoiding the bit where I've clearly said on who knows how many occasions it wasn't just reported, it was televised with Podolski saying those words.

---

And I'm not even going to bother with this other bloke who's trying to be a keyboard warrior because his argument made no sense either...

Not once did I say I was right and others were wrong about him coming, in this discussion or any other for that matter. - The point here though, is on the fact it's NOT "just 'internet rumours".

Whether he comes or not is a different conversation altogether. But this isn't just Media speculation, when the player himself says it.

As for why I don't listen to Mr. Wenger... Because he hardly EVER tells the truth on transfers or speculation in pressers? Known fact my friend.

=M.A.

Agree5 Disagree0

I'm not one for arguing, I just made the point that rather than watching telly and calling it research, then having the cheek to call me lazy with mine - perhaps you should be backing up your own views.

I said Podolski will not happen, which I am sticking to. My reasons are that there is nothing to suggest he will arrive and lots of reasons to suggest that he will not.

So where is the argument? The only arguments I hear are coming from you, not me.

And I don't know who +Mr. Arsenal is but he is entitled to his opinion the same way we are, without being villified by you!

why don't you learn some manners Miss Arsenal?

Personally attacking me and accusing me of things I've not done, is not having an opinion, that is being unnecessarily rude. And you say I'm the one without manners? 0_o lol

CS I never said watching TV was research, my point was you claimed it's all conjecture and 'rumour' that he even wants to move now - You asked for proof and my proof that he wants to come and is actually considering it, is the interview.

All I meant was, it shouldn't be difficult to find it online as it felt as though you were asking me to go and dig it out again, for your sake. I was not intending to be rude and if I was I apologise.

=M.A.

Hey don't worry it's the internet we all have our moments. Nice of you to apologise, most people never bother!

They are too big for courtesies but I see you have some after all :) Apology accepted. I had nothing personal against you, just that I don't watch telly!

Lol I think it's all rubbish except footy

:( Cack rumour time, I just heard from a friend in Paris ... That many PSG fans are expecting to see Wenger move across the Channel tunnel the year after next and join PSG!

I know he has suffered much criticism recently, because Arsenal have hit a bit of a dry patch .... But if anybody asks me I say he HAS to stay here! I know a fair bit of football and I cannot think of one manager I would rather have steering the ship through a tough patch.

He takes criticism and never responds with negativity, he generally signs good players, develops the average ones, spends bugger all and usually recoups any money wasted on the odd bad signing. he encourages the best out of players, and makes sure we are always able to play football to rival any club in Europe.

If this happens it will be a very sad day for me regardless of what other fans think, so I really hope this is just wishful thinking from my parisian friend.

The only problem is that he has given up on the "winning trophy" front.

Any rumor here which starts with the line i just heard from a friend,or my uncle who is associated with the catering of the club or my cousin, friends, sister who works at the airport reportedly over heard wenger speaking to himself............... all of the above statements automatically finds himself relegated from the realms of the rumors to that of a complete lunacy secondly i do agree with what you said about wenger though what he ahs done with limited to no resources is nothing out of miracle but he does have resources now but having said that it is gazidis this time who likes to take his own time

Agree1 Disagree0

There is a strong possibility of this happening. Wenger has also always stated his belief that PSG was a sitting gold mine, the only mega club in Paris.

I'd wish him all the best and cheer PSG on until the day he retires. It's been a personal privilege to watch his brand of football. I'm proud we have the pomp and arrogance to play the way we do. Managers associate our football as being technically superior and visually breathtaking compared to your usual long ball strategy.

The small guys root hard for him. I love that. To them, we, not United are the model club. I appreciate that as well.

Despite the interest from PSG, this year he has hinted his future will always be with Arsenal. I think it's likelier he moves up as a director and Stojkovic takes over with Tony Adams or Bergkamp as 2.

Although I also think Guardiola is waiting for the job. Who wouldn't want to manage Arsenal? Only club with better job security is Man U, and we'll see about that long-term post Sir Alex. We pay pretty handsomely. Best training complex in England imo, from my visits and what I've heard (correct me if wrong here)

I think Mourinho's friendship with Sir Alex and his daily flirtations with the idea of a return to England has him as a lock to take over at United.

Perhaps he returns to Chelsea, but I'm not sure I see this. Roman and Mou are too dominant to co-exist. I can guarantee he's not coming to Arsenal. Not our style.

my theory:
1. Stojkovic, Bergkamp/Adams
2. Guardiola, Villanova/Bergkamp/Adams

Henry should be a director like Zidane is for Madrid or that one guy who it pisses me off is at city. I'm not sure he has the required qualities to be an effective coach. Can he develop talent? Can he man manage?

Dark horse candidates....Remi Garde,Frank Rijkaard, Frank de Boer, Dennis Bergkamp, Marco van Basten

The Dutch emphasize developing youth, like us...

PSG have ancelotti now

Agree1 Disagree1

Ancelloti just took over... Maybe your friend just woke up from a long binge..

Agree1 Disagree1

Yes Ancelloti as manager.... But I didn't suggest he would be going as manager did I?

Hehe I am glad people are showing a bit of support though, I am sick of hearing them taunt the man; he is clearly a genius and Arsenal from top hat to toe!

Ancelotti will coach Italy or Roma within the next 2-3 years unless he's offered the England job...in other words he's going back to Italy soon....

I think Jose is still there for 1-2 more years and then they'll go for the "hot" coach on the market, as usual.

I think Michel and Hugo Sanchez will get long looks too, as the fan base will demand it. Laudrup is also a possibility there...

Rumour had it a few years ago that Gilles Grimandi was exported to PSG to "pave teh way" for AW to become director of football there AFTER he won the European cup with the Gooners.
He CANNOT leave with no trophies in 6 years as his CV would look terrible so until we will something, I don;'t think he's going anywhere.

Stoikavic always seems to stay at AW's when he visits UK and they talk Footie so I think he will be in the running when the time comes

I will say as I always do I've been known to be wrong but I did break the Henry story on this site including squad number before he had even been mentioned for a return in the press (it broke the next day)
Anyway just heard that Kalou will sign for Arsenal before the ACN not too sure how I feel about this, I have heard no fee just that it will happen, as I said I could be wrong.

Ed, what do you think ? any milage in this, i think he would do OK for us, he can at least cross & knows where the goal is unlike our current wingers

Ash man {Ed001's Note - I don't know of any interest, and he can't cross, that is why he can't get in the Chelsea team.}

Agree3 Disagree1

Kalou?

LOL why the hell would we want him? He can barely keep up with Chelsea, and looking at the general play Chelsea have never been able to keep up with us.

Even when they have beaten us it hasn't been because they out played us.

Somebody tell me this is bullsh!t because I don't think I could stomach seeing him in Red.

CS

Yeah mate i seen both of them aswell of the daily mail site the day before....

If we've got gripe giving Walcott 85k
then we sure as hell ain't gonna pay Kalou 90k

that's just silly
