Bedntner, diaby and almunia all left out the squad for the Asia tour because they will all be sold on Monday and wengers press conference will have this news and that gervinho has signed...getting rid of deadwood..makin cash for quality..in wenger we trust

Believable9 Unbelievable11

Diaby is injured, that's the only reason he's not on the plane tomorrow.

Hugo Rodallega openly admits to being an admirer of Arsenal and says he is open to a switch if terms can be agreed. He also says Arsenal are monitoring him.

Not interested in his services personally.

caught offside are pointing to granero {Ed001's Note - you do realise that caughoffside literally pay people to make up stories don't you? A lot of the better journos were having a good moan about it on Twitter as one of them has a relative that does that!}

Believable4 Unbelievable8

This is 100% true. my friend got an email inviting him to write for caught offside because he had finished his jjournalism degree. actually he had just finished a degree in sport science. he could easily be writing for them now making up bollox story's. hope that puts an end to the caughtoffside story's.
Belly

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't listen to caught offside or goal.com talksport they come out with a load of rubbish best for football rumours are the guardian independent or the times newspapers they don't always get it write but more than anything else {Ed001's Note - Guardian in particular stand out as the most reliable. There is a website that collates the rumours printed and keeps tabs on how many are correct. I forget the name of it unfortunately, but it makes for very interesting viewing.}

Agree0 Disagree0

...Ed you cant really complain about caughtoffside when this site lets anyone make up BS stories for free. {Ed001's Note - except that the idea of this site is for people to point out that the rumours are BS. I set it up out of frustration with newspapers printing stories that were blatantly untrue and wanted to give people a chance to dispel the nonsense. That is the whole idea behind us editors commenting, not to stir up nonsense but to quell it. I complain about caughtoffside because I spend half my life having to tell people that the story they saw on there that got them all excited is complete fabrication. The other half getting abuse off them for telling them so.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Pay them? Only with Big Mac's & Kestrel Super. You get what you pay for.

just spoken to bedtner who lives close to me i asked him if he is staying at arsenal he replied arsenal have agreed to sell him to bayern munich in a swap deal with thomas muller

Believable9 Unbelievable22

Would Be Great If True

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe bendtner will be leaving and to germany. but very much doubt muller would be part of the deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see bayern being that stupid in swapping a world class player for bendtner, as much as i would want it to happen, no chance of it really happening

Hope every Gunner's wish has been granted as Denilson, Eboue, Bendtner and Almunia has been left out for the Asian tour. Is this a first step of clearing up of the squad??

Believable17 Unbelievable12

Hopefully Eboue is just injured.

Agree0 Disagree0

Denilson is in the squad and Eboue has a calf injury

Agree0 Disagree0

Denilson is in it , go to our website

Agree0 Disagree0

Denilson IS in the 23 to Malaysia

Agree0 Disagree0

Denilson is in the squad However the others are not so was wondering if anyone know of their destination?

Agree0 Disagree0

Denilson is in the squad. Think Eboue is injured. One player not included is Diaby...

Agree0 Disagree0

Denilson hasn't been left out, he is in there if you look towards the bottom. I'm wondering if this is a sign that maybe Wenger wants to keep him, which i am totally against. I would like Bendtner and Diaby to stay as I think they are very talented. Diaby is unlucky because he has suffered alot of ankle injurys since the ankle break in the Sunderland game a few years ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Denilson is in the squad ...and Eboue is injured

Agree0 Disagree0

Denilson has actually gone

Agree0 Disagree0

I like 2 believe..but, DEnILSON is in the squad 4 asia tour..check the official web mate :p

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps its just me... butI would be gutted if eboue was sold. yes he makes stupid mistakes but he is a good player and is very versatile. That game against liverpool is the perfect situation where he just needed someone like samba to talk to him and calm him down..

Agree0 Disagree0

I wonder what happed to afc when we worried about limited ability players like these

Agree0 Disagree0

Diaby is injured too, so is Rosicky.

Agree0 Disagree0

Denilson may be in the squad but he will leave if someone comes in for him. He gave a very frank interview saying he'd packed his bags and told Wenger he was off. I sincerely doubt he's had a change of heart as he will probably be further down the pecking order this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Eboue is injured

Agree0 Disagree0

Rosicky in the squad dude. I hope we sell Bendtner for someone better, we can't risk having 'potentially amazing' players up front. We need the depth of our attacking force to be top quality all the way. I hope we sell Diaby, fed up with his bumbling, and I hope we keep Eboue, he is a quality player and a great attacking right back.

Why is denilson in the asian squad?? isn't he leaving - why not let a player like lansbury/afobe/eastmond havea go at staking a claim in the main squad??
AG

Believable14 Unbelievable2

I think Landsbury isn't going coz he went to the U21 euro so wenger is giving him a rest (I think) whats your view ed? {Ed001's Note - I agree, anyone that has played in a summer tournament have been given an extended break.}

Agree0 Disagree0

But why is diaby not in it ed? {Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Did'nt think Denilson had gone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Afobe is at the under 20's cup

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't I see Lansbury was being sold defo read it somewhere he'd agreed terms in Championship

Pardoe

Agree0 Disagree0

Diaby has an ankle injury.

Agree0 Disagree0

It probably means there hasnt been any offers for denilson

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully Denilson's only in the squad for the tour in order to put him in the shop window in the forlorn hope that someone somewhere will be insane/desperate enough to part with cash for the useless clown. Hopefully Diaby's been left out because someone HAS been lunatic enough to offer to buy the idle show pony.

Thank God for this Hopefully we can use the money to re-invest in the squad:

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner and goalkeeper Manuel Almunia are in talks with other clubs over moves away from the Emirates.
The pair were omitted from the 23-man squad that will travel to Asia on Sunday for a pre-season tour.

An Arsenal spokesman confirmed this was so the pair could undertake negotiations over potential transfers.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is expected to clarify details over the impending moves at a press conference on Monday.

Bendtner and Almunia on their way out after not being included in the tour to Asia. At last Wenger has made a move in the step in the right direction. GET RID OF THE RUBBISH

Believable16 Unbelievable1

If only someone would take Denilson, Vela, Squillaci, Djourou and Rosisky as well so we could get some new quality squad players.
KJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Vela has bags of potential I say we give him a chance in the first team squad. He's either been loaned out or stuck in reserves.

As for Djourou I was impressed with him this season considering it was his first real season without too many injury problems and he did very well despite having to take care of new comer Koscielny. I can see him staying and to be honest I would like to see him given a chance.

It'd be great to get rid of Denilson, Almunia, Squillaci and Bendtner though :)

Steve

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy up here
Djourou is a good center back
and Vela is not Arsenal material at the moment but if he was to get experience then i'm sure he would improve.

Agree0 Disagree0

Djourou has been shown wanting at the highest level but I agree after some further thought that Vela could be given another chance.
KJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Well for effort alone Djourou would get a 1st place spot without question, but he was lacking in a few areas...and the way he gave away a penalty against Wilshere in the Eng vs Swi game was a classic example.

As for Vela, he may not be the strongest but he is a nippy player and when supplied well (i.e. fab/nasri/asrhavin not rosicky) he produces top top finishes. A massive prospect if we don't waste it. He should start every cup game for us, with stronger players on the bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't agree with you slagging off Bendtner - its not his fault Wenger keeps putting him on as sub on the wing (and hes got the ball to make the cross only to find RvP is not in the box but drifted back into midfield as usual). Our bizarre one striker formation is the cause of that and its all Wengers idea, honestly would rather have Bendtner than either Vela or Chamakh

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jul 2011 15:14:56
Are we not forgeting Chamakh he was great for us when called upon last season. He lost a bit of confidence when he was left out when RVP was fit, but I think that he should not be overlooked. However having said that would love to see Benzema come an Bendtner leave. JDV

Believable17 Unbelievable3

Chamakh was doing great - I really believe the reason he didn't start so many games the second half of the season was to avoid paying his previous club add-ons dependent on appearances. Same-old tight-arse-nal.

Agree0 Disagree0

They did not have to pay add on as he was a FREE signing.

had a emirates tour this week and on the way round we bumped into a coach who works with the team, he sed its 50 50 that cesc will go and he is almost certain nasri will sign a new contract dont no whetever this guy knows what he is saying or not, you can decide for yourself

Believable13 Unbelievable15

Yeah I can see it now, a team coach walking up to random stranger and giving away confidential information.

Agree0 Disagree0

People give Nasri stick, but they need to reel themselves in I think. He has said openly throughout the season and close season; that he wants to see some changes to move the club forward and that he loves Arsenal - I never once considered that he would want to leave

Cesc on the other hand has had one eye on the exit doors for some time, and good luck to him after a long useful service. I hope he stays one more year even if he does want to go back to Barca, and I am certain that Nasri is just waiting to see who we ship out (hopefully Alumnia, Denilson and Bendtner) along with any new names coming the other way (hopefully Gervinho, Mata, Benzema and a decent CB).

I'm sick of hearing all this panic every season - ok 6 years without a trophy; but also six years of 'we will finish 6th and everybody will leave and sack the manager' it's incomprehensible

Wenger is doing a fantastic job, nobody said s**t when we were looking to go top of the prem, beating Utd and Barca last season - so put up or shut up

Arsenal supporters (the true ones) faith never wavered, because we know the club is bigger and better than any one player and WE DO have the best manager in the league. People forget that the reason there is so much fuss about Nasri/Cesc is because of his tutilage

UP THE ARSENAL next season we will carry on doing THE SAME AS EVERY YEAR and by that - I mean challenging for honours at the very top, hopefully with some new blood and less driftwood we can go all the way

Nasri - almost certainly will stay
Cesc - almost certainly will stay
Gervinho - almost certain to sign
Mata - 50/50 at the moment
Benzema - 50/50 but looking hopeful

Agree0 Disagree0

I think cesc will definitely leave.. nasri is 50/50 its all down to wenger and who he signs. nasri wants quality in the squad and if wenger decided he is only going to sign gervinho and say cahill then I would expect nasri to leave..

Agree0 Disagree0

My friend knows a coach at arsenal who be their for a long time and my friend said he knows nothing at all...wenger keeps that sort of thing to himself, the only people who know things are Wenger, the chief ex who does the deals and david dean whos very good friends with arsene and is as big an arsenal supporter as you can get......we aint like man utd....Arsenal do things the right way, remember who was ment to open arsenals new stadium THE QUEEN whos father was an arsenal man.....not some tosser from coronation street.....

linked with villa duo darren bent and gabby agbonlahor for 28m to give r v persie a bit of competition

Believable5 Unbelievable21

Would love to see Bent and Agbonlahor at the mighty Gooners :D

Agree0 Disagree0

28 mill for both? didnt they just spend 24 mill on bent alone. i dont think so some how

paul - rochester

Agree0 Disagree0

Bent would be a good signing since he's a gooner himself but definitely not worth more than 15m. What Villa paid was robbery on behalf of Sunderland.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Arsenal signed Bent, I wouldnt bother going to watch, he is crap.

I am 100% shure that Nasri is off to Man City.... I work inside Arsenal and i can also drop a bombshell that VanPersie is looking to follow him to City who will place a bid we would find hard to turn down.... The truth is Wenger has his hands tied and only 3 players will be comming in, a striker a midfielder and a defender.

Believable13 Unbelievable25

If I had a nickel for every person who "works at Arsenal" with stories like this, I'd be rich enough to buy out Silent Stan myself & fund transfers with the leftover change.

RVP isn't leaving. End of.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry matey, but anyone who struggles to spell the word 'sure' would doubltess not be on Arsenal's payroll, at a pay grade high enough to know what was actually going on. I guess that anyone working at the club are under NDA. I am very dubious of anyone claiming that they work at the club and happily divulging potentially harmful information for any upcoming business practice during the transfer window on this site.

Kermit79

Agree0 Disagree0

You are talking the utmost boocks I've ever heard... A good friend of mine is the Granddaughter of Chips Keswick (AFC Board member)

NOTHING You've just said is even REMOTELY near truth... Arsenal haven't even laid the £110,000 PW offer to Samir yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said, this bloke blatantly doesn't work at Arsenal, and RVP is going nowhere whatsoever. This guy needs to find something better to do.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would the two of them be on the plane to asia if it was so certain they are leaving the club? If they really are leaving arsene woule leave them at home and give young players vital experiences and not send two players to man city that are ready for the premier league season after a pre season tour

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly, there's more chance of us signing Messi and Villa for 50p than RVP leaving

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont post something that is rubbish.. it makes this website seems like the paper with the unproven news nowadays.

Gervinho is signing on the weekend. he and gary cahill will only be the signing. juan mata is possibility.

Believable17 Unbelievable15

09 Jul 2011 11:51:15
This has become one of the most tedious and horrific transfer windows we have had for a while. With Nasri and Fabregas looking like they are about to jump ship, the Gervinho transfer dragging out, and now Wenger saying he only wants one or two transfers, this is dark days for Arsenal fans, all we can do now is sit and hope Wenger has a plan, if not, I will be very worried.

Believable25 Unbelievable8

Be patient, so far we have sold the underachieving Clichy for £7m with 12 months of his contract to go. The Fabregas & Nasri situations will take time to sort out. Gervinho is all but signed, as Wenger stated. We still have the remainder of July & the whole of August to make the necessary changes. Wenger may also be waiting to see who we draw in the CL play off, before commiting us to pricey signings. The widow has only been open for 8 days in europe & we negotiations may be well under way, reports of Mata, etc.... We also have to sell the dross to make space in the permitted 25 man squad & if signings are made later we can save 2 months wages, which could be a considerable sum.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its better to have players playing for you, who want to, and last season Fabregas was either injured or looking injured, Nasri was playing out of his skin, but was probably putting himself in the shop window ready for the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sure that arsene has a plan. he told that he will be busy man on may.. now its already july. so, i guess he should get a master-plan for arsenal this summer.
in arsene we trust
-hakeem-

Agree0 Disagree0

Patience my ass, August sees the CL qualifier - blow that because we are still dithering in the transfer market, and the calls for Wenger to be sacked will be overwhelming. There are also 3 league games that month, imagine loosing all 3 because the boss has still not sorted out the defence and both Cesc and Nasri are gone and not replaced. Thats what you're looking at the way things stand.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jul 2011 11:44:02
Fabregas not travelling with the squad to Asia. Make of it what you will but I reckon its bye bye Cesc.

Believable21 Unbelievable15

Beacuse hes injurd he injurd his muscle

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon, and know, he's injured

Agree0 Disagree0

Injured

Agree0 Disagree0

'injured'

Agree0 Disagree0

Will barca buy a player while hes still on injury? that will make the price lower for him... i think the injury xcuses is just cover for his transfer to barca.
-hakeem-

Agree0 Disagree0

The injury is surely just a cover up. As club captain even with a slight knock he would travel to see how his squad are getting on. The transfer is round the corner...

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is injured , what would you rather him do , go on a pre-season tour or stay behind and get fit.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jul 2011 11:41:27
I dont think we should panic, last season we challenged in all four competitions, despite main players such as Van Persie, Fabregas & Vermaelen being out for long periods. We should start this season with Vermaelen & Van Persie back & with Gervinho on board. Players such as Wilshere, Ramsey, Frimpong (back from injury), Szczesny, Gibbs & Vela will have gained a valuable seasons maturity & experience. In addition Koscielny & Chamakh bedded into the hurly burly of the Premier League. The additional 1 or 2 signings that Wenger is looking for, could help offset the likely departures of Nasri & Fabregas. Clichy's sale doesnt concern me one iota, as I was no fan of his, grossley overrated & underperforming in my opinion

Believable23 Unbelievable11

What happens if we have injuries again to our main players or are you assuming we will go injury free. I don't think so.
KJ

Agree0 Disagree0

You may believe Gibbs, Frimpong, and Chamakh are the answer but sadly I can't agree. Too injury prone, too raw, and simply not there yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

We should have a good back up player rather than an average player on our bench.. this will give us consistency if our injury prone player likes VPersie, walcott and vermaelen get injured.
-hakeem-

Agree0 Disagree0

So our avaerage players will be fit...except cesc and RVP who will get injured again whilst man u and city and chelsea are buying big improving massivly and liverpool....we will be 20+ points adrift nexy year

Believable17 Unbelievable30

I don't believe you. When I was chatting to Arsene Wenger over a game of Monopoly last night he told me Nasri is definitely staying.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nasri had a half a good season, if he goes, he goes. The worst scenario is if he runs down his contract & departs for nothing next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why on earth would he tell you lmao im laughing hear on how much rubbish people post.

Hey ed....m sure u've heard what wenger has said in an interview on official website.....so what would you take out of that interview....means whats the compilation of that interview according to u? {Ed014's Note - I think the 'small musclar problem' that Fabregas 'has' and so can't come on the tour is likely made-up, and would hint at an exit this summer.}

Believable15 Unbelievable5

Fabregas is off, the injury is complete nonsense. The diffiuclty is in tghe negotiations as Barca want £6m compensation for the 2 kids we just signed, when the correct compensation is £350,000 per player. Im not sure how this will resolve itself as Barca are strapped financially & have other targets.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cesc injured himself (more like aggravated an injury) whilst shooting some physically demanding brand advertising.

I reported this on Twitter DAYS Before any Media got hold of it, so how it can be 'made up' I don't know?

I thought £20m was cheap for Nasri, very cheap, but then I realised his contract expires in 1 year. This reminds me of Torres going to Chelsea, go back to the Liverpool forum and read the deluded Liverpool fans who initially denied every rumour, then they were adamant that Fernando loved the club and wouldn't want to leave, then they said the club wouldn't sell him, then they turned on him and declared they're better without him.

I think with Nasri we are between stages 1 and 2 of the process.

Believable18 Unbelievable6

Whats clear is Nasri will be leaving and so will fabregas, END OF, i think when Wenger says 1 or 2, he means he will make replacements to these, hes top priority, otherwise the price goes up, knowing clubs know we have £60 + million to spend, Wenger also knows he has to get a top central defender, whoever says verm will play at left back, seriosly ur crazy, y would you play our best cen def at left back ?, with thinking like that, you should be England manager, the way i see it Wenger knows what he wants, and will get the players needed, otherwise he knows he will go further down the fans loyalty order, my patience is running thin, if Wenger doesnt buy a central defender , a left back, a def midfield, before the season starts, then i say he should go, until then i trust Wenger, i dont trust gazidis.BRING BACK DAVID DEIN, KRONKE, MY CHOICE WOULD BE BAINES, JAGIELKA, SAMBA, VERTOGEN ?, PARKER, BENZEMA, BARTON, maybe ur laugh at 1 or 2 of these but ive added english steel, something we badly lacked last 2 or 3 seasons, Andy

Agree0 Disagree0

We must get vertoghen. his price isnt too high for arsene. around 10-12M. the other defend should be baines/jagielka. but i dont think everton will let them go for a normal price. english player are always overprice than others.

i love how some of the nutters here take the light-hearted phrase of "one or two..." as literally 1 or 2

you people need to stop believing every single word coming out of the guys mouth. unless you still think our squad is just as good as the invincibles? and that wenger will "fight" for cesc and nasri to stay?

if the guy says hes got a plan...does he really? if he doesnt then its his head on the block anyway.

RIGSBY

Believable7 Unbelievable14

It's no good fighting for the pair of them to stay if they don't want to play for the club. Wake up

I still think AW will spend this summer.. its now or never for him.
arsenal need to start winning a trophy next season.

ed...is there genuine strength in the mertesacker rumours again?his name is forever linked with us.i thought he was excellent at the WC but then i watched him against spurs in the CL.....dear god he was awful.one of the slowest players ive ever seen in the top flight.personally think he would really struggle over here.

on the LB situation.....cant see wenger signing one.shame.gibbs isnt good enough for me.i would rather see 2 CB's come in and one of them being jagielka.very versatile.can fill in for song if needed and is a better back up right back than eboue.this would allow us to push vermaelen out to LB and bring gibbs in slowly. {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any confiremed interest in Mertesacker. There is interest in Cissokho and I think there would eb interest in Baines if he were available at the right price.}

Believable2 Unbelievable8

Baines is too pricey for wenger.. dont think it will happen.
how much the pricetag made by lyon for cissokho, ed?anyone?
-hakeem- {Ed001's Note - it would be over 15m I would expect.}

Agree0 Disagree0

There's no way I'd want to push Verm out to LB, I'd rather play Gibbs there. Such a waste of the beast playing him on the left.

Hey Ed,
Please can you give me your thoughts on the following...

The media are linking us with a lot of attacking minded players such as Mata, Benzema, Hazard etc. We are apparently signing Gervinho soon and yet there has been hardly any mention or realy a sniff about any defenders, apart from the Cahill and Samba rumours that are being passed around the top 6 teams like a game of cards.
This must mean that Cesc and possibly Nasri are leaving. Neither have publicly denied the rumours circulating them either fuelling the speculation that they are on their way. I hope Nasri stays more than Cesc tbh because he has been pining for Barca for ages and there isn't any point in keeping players that don't want to be here.
I for one, hope we have a massive overhaul this season adding 2 or 3 quality players. I would love to see Benzema and Mata arrive but I can't see it happening. He will have to buy if our main players leave and there is pressure on him to make at least one or two marquee signings. from the fans and media and everyone for gods sake. SPEND SOME MONEY WENGER PLEASE
What are your thoughts on the players we will bring in this summer and the ones which will leave?. Assuming Gervinho is already a done deal and what do you think our likely starting line up will be next year if we make 2 or 3 additions to our team? {Ed002's Note - Gervinho is effectively a right winger. I expect that Fabregas will leave and efforts will be made to keep Nasri. The fans don't see Gibbs up to the left back role so Cissokho is a possibility. I expect a bid for Mata and perhaps Samba or Cahill. I can't guess at starting line ups but perhaps an Arsenal Ed will.}

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Mata is more likely to come to arsenal IF cesc is leaving.. i dont think benzema coming to arsenal due to his high wage and transfer fee.
-hakeem-

Agree0 Disagree0

My opinion means very little as I am not a professional, but from what I have been weeding out from all the BS talk going on and also from Arsenal site and better stories, this is what I have gathered:

RVP left, Walcott central and Gervihno right.
Wilshere, Song, and Nasri if he stays, if not then Arshavin or replacement for Nasri

Gibbs/New singing, Vermaelen, New singing (Samba or Cahill), Sagna,

Shez

That said, it remains to be seen whethe ror not Gervinho will go straight into the satrting 11. If AW wants us to play something other than 433 which is always possible, then it could look more like this for our toughest games:

Walcott central, RVP behind

Wilshere, Song, Nasri/whoever, Arshavin

Gibbs/whoever, Verm, Samba/Cahill, Sagna

Shez

with our strongest subs being: Fabianski, Koscielny, Djourou, Frimpong, Ramsey, Chamakh/Gervinho

Agree0 Disagree0

1st team sounds OK (ish).......but that subs bench would really struggle to help Arsenal win trophies.

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to add some real quality. I hope the downing rumours are not true as i would rather he went for Mata. I think downing is a good player but not worth 18 mil no way.

edd now that psg have been takeover does that mean they can reject big offers. also is sakho willing to stay at psg. {Ed002's Note - Sakho has been given a wage rise and made captain. I very much doubt he will leave now.}

Believable14 Unbelievable1

Sakho has been captain of PSG since he was 17 has he not? Someone correct me if I am wrong?

I have feeling Arsenal will do a deal for him around the time of The Emirates Cup. That's why it's all quiet on the defensive front imo.

Steve

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt sakho can be better at arsenal as he is not a proven CB for champs leag yet.
we should try to get defender that has experience in europe.
-hakeem-

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not being funny Hekeem but have you seen the guy play? He is a beast He's like Vermaelen but taller, stonger and more imposing in general. Scary figure that can clear balls into the box. Not half bad with his feet either. He screams Arsenal to me. He has leadership qualities in abundance.

Agree0 Disagree0

I only watched him play for france twice.. im not sure with his performance bcos the opponent is doing more defensive play on that match.
but if hes so good, i dont think psg will sell him. as psg now will try to be like City. they paid a lot of money for their best player and buy other players and give high wages for sure.
any chances that sakho will come to arsenal? ed ? anyone?
-hakeem- {Ed002's Note - Sakho will not be moving to Arsenal this year. He has had a pay rise and been made captain.}

edd any intrest in aly cissokho {Ed002's Note - Yes there is. Cissokho may leave Lyon this summer if a high enough fee is paid. Manchester City looked willing to oblige until they signed Clichy. Arsenal seem favourites with Liverpool having a slim chance. The player has said he has "issues" with Damien Comolli.}

is he worth it for arsenal to spend high fee?

Ed, AW said Gervinho is almost a done deal and expect to 1 or 2 players of top quality. Does this mean a busy transfer market as he promised before? Or does this mean there players who are already signed and now he is looking to add 1 or 2? {Ed002's Note - I don't really understand the question. If he said Gervinho plus a couple more then that is what I would expect but don't get tied up in the numbers too much.}

Believable4 Unbelievable6

What do AW means by busy summer for arsenal??
is it only 1or2 signing plus gerve?

Reports are flying around stating Gervinho has failed his medical. Nobody can prove if he did or not, so don't say he did, as you don't know, he may have failed.

Believable4 Unbelievable12

As he is from the Ivory Coast he needs a work permit

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes of course he may have failed the medical- as you state *we don't know*- however I think this rumour is perhaps due to 'anxious' fans wondering why he hasn't signed yet...don't forget he needs a work permit, the players signed by other PL clubs so far don't need work permits, hence the reason they were announced as quickly- remember they won't risk annoucing anything until it is 100% done- patience, I'm sure it will be ok. {Ed002's Note - There will be an announcement on Monday.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He didn't fail anything. Tim Payton, PR guy for Arsenal Supporters Trust tweeted a little while ago that Gervinho will be announced on Monday. Also, the official Arsenal website even mentions the deal being "near completion" yesterday.

You might want to do a little research before telling people what they can and can't say or prove. Epic fail on stirring the pot.

So no gerve on malaysia tour then if it will be announce on monday? anyone..
