Hi Ed, have Xhaka agreed terms with Roma? If yes has Arsenal already have a replacement inline, discounting all the rumours, are we close to signing a replacement if that's their plan?

{Ed002's Note - Roma have made what I understand is a third offer for Xhaka which his agent's lawyer has suggested should be acceptable to Arsenal. I don't really understand the next bit of the question, but assuming it means "have Arsennal found a replacement, the answer is no but the club has options they are considering and a preferred option as has been explained.}

Bissouma is an option; Hakimi is too expensive; Onana we are pushing for a deal and not sure about the other players.

Tosin apparently has a 10m release clause or something. If true we had been liked with him. Also hearing we are looking at a young Brazilian rb named vanderson. Although must admit I've no idea on who he is or what he is like.

Well they’re players and the transfer market is open and we don’t know the club’s actual list of transfer targets. People tend to ask about a player base on what they have heard, read or if they like the player.

So EK is preparing another bid, 2 billion, if correct still not enough IMO. I think he has to be 2.5 billion and above to tempt the Americans.

Oh dear understand it in the context of the situation which you clearly don’t - to us it’s huge but the new offer won’t even raise an eyebrow on the Americans forehead . Yes to us it’s huge to a billionaire who has said “ we don’t need the money “ it’s nothing.

Quick google search says that Arsenal are valued roughly around $2.8bn so I imagine the owners would want more than that.

It’s great to want someone who is passionate about your club being the owner but is he a realistic prospect? Spotify is only worth £3bn itself, so without another backer alongside EK I don’t see it as being realistic.

It doesn't matter how rich or poor you are half a billion is a huge difference. I understand the original statement. Also $2.8 billion dollars is just under £2 billion pounds sterling as of this morning, if you can't grasp basic currency, don't band around fictitious figures.

Max Aarons (RB) Everton remain very keen after Bayern Munich decided against a move as the cost is seen as too high and Roma has opted for another - Manchester United want him as cover only and that will likely price him out of a move at something like £30M. Expect to see other clubs become involved - perhaps Spurs if they can offload Serge Aurier or Arsenal if Bellerin leaves - and potentially others. The asking price will likely drive most potential buyers away.}
