Arsenal will travel back to Germany to make an improved offer for Lars Bender.

1.) 02 Jul 2013
Don't mean to be a jerk but surely offers do not need to be done in person?

2.) 02 Jul 2013
Why travel? Why not send a carrier pigeon? Oh wait, why not pick up the phone or send an email? Genius!

3.) 02 Jul 2013
? surely it would be easier and cheaper just to send an email!

4.) 02 Jul 2013
Making an offer in person is much more personal regarding the player. We wouldn't have gotten Sanogo if it wasn't for Wenger speaking with him in person

5.) 02 Jul 2013
Offers are made in person or, oddly, through fax. Not over the phone or through e-mail. At least usually.

6.) 02 Jul 2013
Send a crow like Tyrion Lannister.

7.) 02 Jul 2013
So on the sanogo front arsene should have just sent an email. What a waste of wages that could be put to buying an actual quality player and not some reject that has never played more than 5 successive games with out injury!

8.) 02 Jul 2013
Surely they would just send a telegraph STOP

9.) 02 Jul 2013
To go and talk to him in person would be tapping up person, Sanogo's contract was near it's end so he was free to speak to suitors.

I think its easier to sit down in person and negotiate in then there's nothing lost intranslation. and wg there going to negotiate a fee not tap the player up

11.) 03 Jul 2013
To the poster dissing sanogo. he's had one injury. broke a foot. now he's coming back from that. to say he's going to be the next big thing is premature but he is a free transfer after all and the potential is there. to call it a waste of wages is simply ignorant.

oh another thing. just because we're supposed to buy proven ability does not interfere with the clubs policy of bringing in young talent. the wage structure is probably to be blamed but not the talent.

am in no way an expert in this matter but thought I would share my thoughts nevertheless

12.) 03 Jul 2013
Why has it gone so quiet regarding the Hig and Fellani deals?

13.) 03 Jul 2013
To my knowledge in which I got from several reports on the player, Sanogo has never played 5 consecutive games, to me he sounds like a diaby syndrome player BUT he must have something if Wenger is as interested as he is.

Maygrove Gooner!

14.) 03 Jul 2013
Yeh he has something going for him Maygrove, it was his price tag. Wenger seems terrified of taking a risk in the transfer market for 'exceptional talent'.
