Hi ed I would like to know are there any teams interested in Jordan Rhodes?

He is a great striker I'm amazed no one bought him in the premier league. His stats are unbelievable:
- 108 games for Huddersfield 73 gopals scored
- 87 games for Blackburn 52 goals scored

And he's only 24 years old

{Ed001's Note - the price has so far put anyone off taking a chance on him. They are looking for £10m+, having paid close to that for him. He has a contract until 2017, so the price is not yet about to drop because of it running out. It is more likely a team in danger in January goes for him.}

Thanks for the reply ed001

{Ed001's Note - no worries, it is a discussion that has been had between us editors, is he worth the risk? He does lack a bit of pace, I think, myself, that is the main thing holding people back, as pace would allow him to get that tiny bit of space to shoot. It was that tiny burst of acceleration Torres had that made him so special for a while. He could just get himself half a yard over any defender and get his shot off before they could get near him. Now it is gone, he has to do so much more to be able to get a shot off, and it shows in his struggles to score. I would have the same fears with Rhodes, would he have the ability to create space for himself in the box without that pace? He has in the lower leagues, but the defenders are better in the Prem. Only way we will ever know is if someone does take a chance on him.}

Yeah mate I know he lacks pace, but the thing is (I think, I may be talking nonsence) he adapts his game to his strenghts from younger age. Both him and Torres play a different role, as you say Torres relies on pace he used to outpace defenders, he was a real nightmare. But now when he lost a yard of pace he is finding it difficult to adopt another approach that would suit his game, also making a space to shoot, he used to burst through defender's lines and now he is easily surounded by defenders.
As for Rhodes he is much younger, he's not the quickest, but movement is great, and therefore his game doesn't rely too much on pace.
I can't really judge a player until I see him in the premier league, cause premier league is a different animal to championship, but I would love to see him in the prem, also scoring 125 goals in 195 appeareances is a great achievment and should not be underestimated.
The funny thing is there's no hype surounding this player. For example, Will Hughes has 6 assists and all of a sudden he is the next big thing, but this guy is tearing leagues apart and gets no mention from anybody. Honestly, I have never red an article about him.
Thanks again ed, hope you understand what I wrote, my english is a bit rusty :)
