{Ed001's Note - yes mate, he is going to provide cover at both right back and centre back, with the expectation of him becoming the long term answer in one of those two positions. He can play either, just depends on how he develops now as to which he will become. I say he is going to, obviously that is if the deal is completed, which I fully expect it to. Got to feel sorry for Soton fans after last season.

Is it because they are in financial problems or is the chairman just being a tard?

If he is and Soton get relegated you could'nt blame the fans if they call for his head.

Dont blame them for some of the sales, but they are now loseing the spine of the team. Poor gits.

Yeah Ed, I am sympathetic to the Southampton fans, must be a nightmare for them. But it's football now, money talks the loudest.

{Ed001's Note - Schneiderlin still looks the most likely mate, he seems to be the only player left being targeted, other than the usual unknown kids for the academy every club adds each season. Southampton have not walked away from the table regarding him yet, I expect him to ask for a move if they do.}

I would be gutted they had so much english talent in there squad and were a pleasure to watch sometimes last season personally lallana and lambert and Rodriguez and shaw were outstanding last season along with sneiderlin if I were were wenger ide try and get Rodriguez aswell could turn into a special player in the right hands
