Hello Eds,
With the window now rubbish and AFC still needing cover at CB are we looking to sign a free agent? I heard we were looking at Yepes - can you confirm?

I doubt we will sign any out of contract players. I believe Wenger will consider using Monreal as a makeshift 4th choice centre back and can always drop Flamini back to full back, if necessary.
Hayden is another option.
I must admit I am somewhat surprised that Wenger has stated the season with only 6 first team defenders. Yes, we have Bellerin, but he clearly lacks experience. The other surprise is that he allowed Jenkinson to depart on loan and Vermaelen to leave, without adequate cover.
