Right, rumours getting stronger about matuidi, this is the player we need an absolute beast of a player. He should be our no 1 target. I hope there is legs in the rumours. He would be our new vierra.

We are being linked wth many players, which is usual. However, we have a very full squad and Wenger told us to expect only 2 or 3 signings. We have already made one signing in Kolasinac and I can see a forward and a replacement for Sanchez, if he goes.

These are all similar players - pacey, wide forwards, with good goals ratios.

We will never ever sign all, we are signing one, and probably to replace Sanchez.

I'm with Steve, Matuidi is a beast with a great attitude and he does improve any team he's in. Leads by example.

Also, is it possible for Arsenal to be linked to a CM without someone comparing him to Viera?

Matuidi is definitely the type of player we need. Kolasinac, Matuidi, Lacazette would be a very good window so long as we keep Ozil and Sanchez!
Also been hearing a lot about Lemar in last couple days and supposedly a bid over well over 30mil.

Dont think he could be the new Vieira, unless Vieira was also close to collecting his pension when he signed! Matuidi is already 30, which probably gives you a clue as to why PSG would be happy to cash in now. He is a very good player, but can't we find someone coming into their prime rather than at the end of it?

While I don't expect us to sign matuidi, I would very much welcome it. Would be a great signing even with his age.

& EppingGunner. 30 doesn't always mean decline.

Pirlo's best years were well beyond 30
And I'm pretty sure Zlatan has nearly scored as many goals since turning 30 than he did in all the years that preceded it.

Matuidi has hardly dropped in level, just psg want to blood their younger more exciting midfielders.
