Good after noon Ed’s hope everyone is Enjoying this nice Tuesday afternoon,

When Arteta is mentioned in regards to the vacant managerial spot it is usually accompanied with the general consensus of his role being more of a head coach rather than manager per say, leaving transfer business up to the new heads of recruitment with very little input and essentially given the task of coaching the players he’s given. In your guys expert opinion how do you believe that would fare out over the course of the season? I can’t really think of any other clubs off the top of my head other than Chelsea and abromovich where this is the case. I think this rumour has legs unfortunately and.

{Ed002's Note - The Chelsea approach involves the manager and the coaches but they are critically different in that advisors are used a great deal. The owner doesn't decide on the players to buy. What Arsenal are moving toward is a European type system where the coach takes responsibility for coaching and the involvement in transfers is minimal. The likes of CA have worked like this successfully.}

most clubs are moving towards the "continental" system of the club having transfers controlled by someone other than the manager.

It makes perfect sense, when so much money is involved.

Transfer policy has to be longer term.
