Hi Edd is there any truth in arsenal not pursuing a move for ziyech would be a great signing in my opinion.

Let's face it, we need to make 5 signings and only have 45m, plus sales to spend. So far we have only sold Ospina for 3m and I belive we also received a sell on fee of 4m. That makes 52m, less 6m spent on 18 year old Martinelli, leaving a balance of 46m. That equates to 2 mediocre signings at best. Hence we are looking at loan deals and players out of contract.
I have a strong feeling that we will only make one or two signings, the rest of the spaces in the 25 man PL squad will be filled with youngsters and players that we would ideally like to move on.

This could easily be the season that we fall out of the top 6. I fully admit that I am unimpressed with the set up at the club.

If things don't improve next season we will have a new manager by next summer at the latest, sometimes you've got to kiss a few frogs to find your princess.
Last season was worse because we knew Dick would get to start this season no matter what but now he has to deliver or make way.
When you have a safe manager no matter what it's extremely deflating and almost pointless but once a manager has to deliver or go then we start looking like any other big club again.

62 mate, we cam blame Emery for his tactics and whatever. But if the club not willing to spend and get the right players in and sort out our weaknesses, how he can improve the performance of the team.
Lets say next season was awful, same old arsenal. And we change Emery but again the board not willing to show ambition. Then the next manager will be as helpless as Emery in my opinion.
Don’t get me wrong, I still believe he’s not the right choice from what I’ve seen last season but you can’t expect too much from him if the club can’t sort out the problem we have.
With his set of players we have I doubt pep or Klopp can do much mate.

Hi Moe has Emery done all that can possibly be done with our defence and all round team performances by organising and motivating them to their full potential?
If the Answer is yes then all hope is lost but it the answer is
With better organisation tactics and player motivation even our current squad could be improved dramatically then hope springs eternal Moe mate.

I blame Emery for doing absolutely nothing to improve a disorganised defence and set up of the team defensively. I blame him for a terrible winter window. I blame him for not addressing the obvious. I blame him for terrible decisions. I blame him for tinkering with the team and set up. I blame him for Rambo leaving and the treatment of Rambo. I b. lame him for mismanaging Ozil. I blame him for not improving the midfield. I blame him for the terrible end to the season. I blame him on having close to no impact on the side, performances and tactics. I blame him for removing the slight relief and excitement of change following his appointment. I blame him for a wasted season with no direction. He’s got a lot to answer for and I won’t lose any sleep if he’s fired after 2 games. We looked terrible in preseason last season and the areas to improve were obvious and we had players who most managers would have gotten more out of.

I blame the board for its lack of balls, strategy and expectations. I blame them for allowing Wenger to drift without repercussions. I blame them for Ozil’s contract, Rambo, Sanchez situation and their lack of ruthlessness

I blame Wenger for his last 10 years but I thank him for maintaining top 4 when our budgets were tight. I thank him for the youth he left us with as there’s hope in the ashes left. I also thank him for the best football I’ve ever seen. He needed to go but we had to move forward mentally and performance wise.

Quicker we change Emery, back room staff, board etc the better - sorry but the issues were so obvious and the non improvement just close to gross misconduct.

I agree with most of your post SY but on Arsene we duffer.
His first 8 years were truly incredible but his last 16 were pretty bang ordinary for a big club and as for the youth he's left us with? It's nothing we haven't seen and watch fade away many times before under his leadership mate.
Fabregas remains the last Arsenal youth to make a big impact at top level and he emerged in 2004.
Arsene had 8 wonderful seasons which coincidently included George players and those who had played with and learned from George players, once the George influence went completely so did Arsenes magic touch.
Arsene and George were like the horse and cart, both better when attached to the other.

You really blame Emery for the winter window he has a little input into transfers them fools sanhelli and that other fella are messing things up, I'm not sticking up for Emery but don't blame him for things out of his control.

62 mate, I’m totally on the same boat as you, but we clearly need upgrade on some of the players we have especially defensively. The team need to be injectes with new blood. And if that happen and Emery still can get nothing which I’m sure that will be the case then bye bye and get in a young manager with fresh ideas. Football is developing fast and we seem to be standing still.

We literally one Harry Kane or one Aubameyang PK from top 4 last year under a brand new coach. stop overreacting.

You remembered - Emila Fox!

Ha ha made me smile - have a great weekend

Oh - we technically may have been a Harry Kane away from top 4 ( not sure ) - I thought we were a defence away from competing or a stupid decision against a palace etc away from Top 4. A missed penalty happens but tinkering and crap decisions don’t fly in my book. Sorry

And yes I know I’m overreacting 😉.

We bottled it last year, we simply needed one win at home ans they all walked over is in the final 5 games, if we were unlucky I would give it to tou but we were all over the place. So stick with Emery as long as you want but sooner rather than later you will change your mind buddy.

Been watching celebrity goggle box and Emilia is absolutely stunning mate :-) .
Last seasons top 3/4 was ridiculously poor quality and we still didn't make it, I personally don't think that's anything to encouraged by at all.
Liverpool City Spurs will be in next seasons top 4 almost certainly which leaves us United and Chelsea to try and sneak the last champions league place, I'd guess at Chelsea all day long, why?

Lampard will listen to and take all the help and advice he can get because he knows his own strengths and weaknesses, yes they've lost Hazard but sometimes losing a player around which everything centres can work in your favour because others step up and the transfer ban may also work for Chelsea rather than against them by allowing their younger players chances they haven't previously had.

As for us and United? Both clubs look lost and neither have a manager that looks capable of pulling everyone together in order to get the best out of what they have based on what on what either Emery or Ole have shown so far.
Both Ole and Emery appeared to benefit from the bounce factor a new manager sometimes gets but once that wore off both looked completely out of their depth and the longer last season went on the more incapable both looked of pulling their teams together even though the prize was very much there for the taking.

Let's see what if anything Dick learned about his players and much much more importantly about himself last season, because if he doesn't change his own philosophies he aline with our chances of anything like an enjoyable season looked pretty much doomed already . Doomed doomed I say, DOOMED :-)

Absolutely SY mate, supporting Arsenal is a passionate hobby but far from the be all end all.
It's great to be engrossed in football where you can't wait for each game to get here but in truth it's been a while since things were like that at Arsenal.
Luckily for everyone there are many many other things to enjoy in life too and watching Emilia definitely isn't the worse way of spending your spare time :-)
Do check out Vilanelle in killing Eve too mate, fantastic character and Jodie Croner plays her perfectly and is definitely enough to stop you thinking about football:-)
