Morning ed002

I remember as a little treat you use to give us a surprise on transfers. Have you anything for us.

{Ed002's Note - It goes something like this. Arsenal still want a RW and have so far made a complete hash of things over money. They have been unable to sort out a deal for the preferred choice (Zaha) and have done nothing to encourage a move for Malcom (whose price has now risen, likely pricing Arsenal out of a move). In the meantime, Reiss Nelson (RW) feels he has shown enough to deserve a chance is not being considered and he knows that there is interest in him from Germany - with Hertha Berlin having given up on Harry Wilson. Hertha want a a loan with an option to buy and will be pressing.}

Anything new on gbamin ed? The sporting director of Mainz recently said they are in advanced talks with a club about the player. Thanks in advance!

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Arsenal.}

Real shame if Nelson isn't given a chance and moves on.

Thanks Ed - so we screw up the RW negotiations and at the same time risk losing Reiss? Take a bow Arsenal you’ve excelled again.

The Zaha situations is close to gross misconduct - absolute shambles.

Any info on outgoings.

{Ed002's Note - LK will go to Rennes over Bordeaux I would think.}

Reiss Nelson needs match time. However, Arsenal currently have quite a few youngsters who all play wide: Nelson, Saka, Martinelli, Smith-Rowe. With a wide signing being sought, it would be great if the youngsters could provide back up, play in the League Cup and possibly in some Europa League matches. It is a problem that needs solving, as to how a top 6 PL club brings through talented youngsters, who generally lack the physicality for regular first team football and of course lack the necessary experience. Promoting Freddie to first team coach was an intelligent move.

Will Nelson be Emerys answer to Arsenes Gnarby fiasco? Youngsters who have the confidence to make it in the big time also have the confidence to back themselves by moving if need be.
Emery call of course, use him or lose him and if Dick decides to let him go he has to hope he is more successful at Arsenal than Nelson is elsewhere.
