Hi Ed, with PEA’s wage demands it seems likely he’ll go this summer. Can you comment on any prospective replacements (like Jonathan David) ?
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - It is very early but Vinicius Jr (LW) It has not been working out well for the player in Spain and Wolves have shown an interest in him but he would only be a second string to Diego Jota - and the asking price (circa €60M - although they may accept less) is seen as high. Arsenal have been approached but with Saka emerging on the left it is the issue of Pepe on the right and Aubameyangadingdong in the centre or left that needs the most consideration - but he shares and agent with Martinelli so there may be a discussion. Chelsea have also been approached as he would provide an option to Hudson-Odoi on the left allowing Pulisic to move to his more natural right side. Others have been approached but none would be in a position to look for more than a loan and Real Madrid need players gone to continue their rebuild.
Aleksandr Sobolev (S) makes little sense.
Kevin Volland (S/W) BL did't want to sell in January but may in the summer.
Donyell Malen (F/W) rather raw Arsenal reject who has done well at PSV, is well liked if a little moody, but may not be able to make the step up. Rather unlikely if there is interest at the €50M asking price at all but Barcelona has asked about availability.
Jonathan David (AM/S/W) Gent youngster who has attracted plenty of scouts to watch him this season including those representing Lyon, RBS, Lille, Everton, RBL, Arsenal, Leicester and Lazio. Lyon are looking for a replacement for Moussa Dembele and RBL who are looking for a replacement for Timo Werner have both spoken with Genk who are open to the Canadian leaving at the right price. At the start of the season Napoli and Brighton attended matches to watch Roman Yaremchuk but were apparenty were also impressed by the performance and versatility of the player.}

Thanks Ed, do you expect Saka to sign a new contract?

{Ed002's Note - It depends if an acceptable offer is made - and if anyone of significance shows an interest. I would hope he would.}

But Ed actually, wouldn’t you say his career is best somewhere else? Arsenal is a beat right now and he’s a talent.

{Ed047's Note - unlike you maybe he likes the club and wants to stay here

Lol I don’t know why your having a go at me ed?

{Ed047's Note - you’re talking like it’s fine for Saka to leave because we’re so bad. 🤦‍♂️

Saka has time on his side much like Rogers said to Sterling at Liverpool " the next contract will not be your most important contract "
For Auba it's the complete opposite as financially this will be his last big deal and ambition wise what he does next will decide if he is to have any chance of ever challenging for or winning a top prizes, obviously it's unlikely he will be able to achieve those things at Arsenal at his age and what left of his playing career.
