Hello Eds,
Sky are reporting that Coutinho has been offered to Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea. Is this something that Arsenal are interested in looking at further?
Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Philippe Coutinho (AM/LW) after missing out on Bruno Fernandes and Hakim Ziyech Spurs have enquired after Coutinho and been told that a loan fee would €30M for a season with an option to buy at €50M at the end of the season with any loaning club paying half his wages. I would expect any interested side to look for a significant reduction in such a deal. The player is being offered around PL sides. Barcelona will have to keep him if no takers are found although with a small amount of money owed to Liverpool still there may be room for them to negotiate - but I don't expect them to be interested. Leicester might offer a solution to get him off the books - but again there would be a need for some negotiation. Right now Barcelona will likely cut their losses and get the best deal they can as soon as they can - his representative may look to some sort of creative deal with an English side (such as Arsenal) - but that could cause a delay but the overall package might need to be something like a loan at a low fee, the player taking a cut on his €215k pw week wages, with Barcelona contributing nothing, and an obligation to buy at a lower figure at the end of next season.}

Hi Ed, is it true David Luiz is set to leave because we aren’t going to activate a clause in his contract activates an additional year?

{Ed002's Note - It is too early to say what will happen.}

Thanks Ed, when I take into account the numerous centre backs arsenal have, isn’t the sensible option to let him go?

{Ed002's Note - I would expect others to go first.}
