Edoo2 are any of our players going to be sold or going out on loan in england.

{Ed002's Note - The club will see if there is interest in players from any of the open markets (e.g. Portugal, Russia, Netherlands (although that closes today).}

Hi Ed,
I gather from your response that these three leagues remain open for loans; how about the championship? Can we still send some of our young guns down to get blooded.

{Ed002's Note - Yes for another 10 days but you cannot simply force clubs to take the players.}

Ed002 I have read that Stan has shuffled money around to free up funds for Partey. Possibly at the last minute. Would this be why Arsenal triggered his release clause so late? I truly can't believe our club would be underhand on purpose.

{Ed002's Note - The club are bottom of the pile. In the gutter and staring down. It is completely unacceptable to do this to another side. Respect clearly means nothing to the idiots involved. Last Saturday they had a meeting in London with Marseille and showed a lack of respect to them by sending a half-wit along who was unwilling to negotiate. Rapidly down hill.}

I am truly shocked Ed002. Are Mikel and Edu party to this?

{Ed002's Note - I doubt Arteta would be involved.}

I’m a little confused Ed.
Partey was Atleticos asset, their last negotiation fixed this buyout clause. Parteys contract could have been prioritised long before we registered any interest based on his performances but they neglected to reward him with new terms and a new contract that could have eliminated any such option if they wished.
You yourself have stated all summer that they were open to selling a number of players outright without potential reinvestment just to balance their books. In fact they are a good comparison to us in the sense they have spent outside their means in recent times with a view to reaching a certain level of on field success, which is what I have read numerous times you have stated arsenal are doing, spending contingency monies in anticipation of CL football.
I’m completely aware of how important a code of conduct is when it comes to business, especially cyclical business like this where you will cross paths frequently with the same representatives.
However, the current Arsenal structure do not represent Arsenal FC traditionally and one arguably unethical act does not cast a shadow on how we conducted ourselves historically. They may be gone in 4 years and as with other clubs unsavoury antics in times find by, they will be forgotten.
The issue here is Athletico did not reward THEIR player having had ample opportunity, they wanted to keep him on as their lowest paid player while performing aswel wasn’t other in their squad. They would not negotiate with us when approached in the natural way did the player as they did not want to sell him at the price. None of this is our issue as it was not the issue when we were forced to sell our best over the last 12 years when we suffered both the selling of our best to rivals and then being told our club was weak and regressive for doing so.
This morning I’m supposed to feel ashamed of my club based on your information, which I always respect, but I won’t do it.
I’m not going to be told we’re headless chickens and clueless when we can’t get a big deal done but then told we’re unethical and gutter thrash when we do after what us fans have witnessed and endured with other transfer windows.
Liverpool we’re illegally approaching youth players and the families not so long ago but what happens on the pitch is what people talk about.
And what happens on the pitch at Arsenal right now by far outweighs what’s happening with any halfwit in a negotiation with Marseille for me.
Seems to me we are damned if we do and damned if we don’t.

{Ed002's Note - All Spanish players must have buy out clauses. Trying to blame Atletico Madrid is absolutely pathetic. It is nothing to do with Liverpool either.}

The whole idea behind the writing of that longwinded post was that I’d hoped it could be taken in context and not reduced to deflecting onto the two clubs I mentioned.
Atletico had ample time to retain the players services, reward him financially and increase his buy out all at once by offering an improved contract. they didn’t even enter into discussions with him. They thought they could retain his services and pay him peanuts in comparison to his team mates and you want us to be sorry for them on ethical grounds? Come on now.
Liverpool were mentioned because they have run afoul of actual governing bodies (not ethics police) and yet as they have gone on to Champions League glory and PL success these misdemeanours go unmentioned, because rightfully so on field success is what takes focus at the end of the day.
I come on here to get away from the nonsense everywhere else online and I’ve to read we’re incompetent penny pinchers when we can’t get deals done and that we are gutter trash halfwits when we legally do a good deal.
I hope you do not think this is coming from a place of disrespect but as someone who follows your posts on numerous fans pages, I am struggling to see at what point this club can do right in your eyes.
I suppose the best way I can put it is to ask you where this deal ranks in comparison with recent years actual offences by clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea and City in transfer dealings? Not to mention some of the biggest European teams approach to underhanded played recruitment.
Yes I am referring to other clubs once more because they occupy the same landscape and are supposed to adhere to the same guidelines so I have to reference them when looking for context from you as to why you hold this particular transaction in such contempt when it seems pretty mild in comparison to other clubs antics?

{Ed002's Note - The club should behave responsibly like other clubs. Clearly they see themselves as above this. Few clubs are that arrogant.}

Well said shambles84, I don’t find anything wrong with what we have done, if it was that bad AM would have complained which they havnt only one that seems to be complaining is ed 002, I’m not having a go ed b4 you slate me and say you won’t tell arsenal fans any more transfer news Because of it, if it’s that bad maybe la liga should look at the way they run it, again we have done nothing wrong and to be honest I don’t care, I don’t feel ashamed and again I don’t know why ed is getting so worked up over it, it seems to me like you have shares in AM and have lost money over it, but to call arsenal gutter trash when they have done nothing wrong is a joke, I know I’ll get slated by other members for this or even banned for speaking my mind, but I don’t care it’s the truth and if nobody like it’s tuff sh1t.

{Ed002's Note - Tye club is bottom of the pile and trash now. They have rubbish like Edu involved.}

Yeah spot on Shambles, we've spent years being taken for mugs (rightfully so) . It's AM's loss for not getting him a new deal and our gain.

{Ed002's Note - great to celebrate a clubshowing zero respect - certainly looks like the club has just the fans it deserves}

Look Ed I’m not looking to stir the pot here I’m on the site here singing your praises for years and always appreciate your knowledge and input.
I just find it unusual that a guy with your depth of knowledge and understanding of how these things can go sometimes seems to have a personal issue with this.
We are ‘bottom of the pile’ . who’s pile? Who’s at the top? Who’s the bench mark?
You can say ‘few clubs’ behave as we have but that is misleading because if you want to be honest you will admit that many of the top 7 clubs in each of the top leagues ALL behave this way or worse.
Respectfully I still agree with the principles you are advocating for, but is this isn’t the worst act we’ve seen in recent years and I feel your knowledge of the background issues plaguing the club at hierarchy level are tilting your hand a little heavier on the club than normally would be the case.
I go in on my club when I need to but I’ll also back them when I feel it’s warranted and I respect your right to have an alternative point of view. ✌️.

{Ed002's Note - You are not getting it - the club have moved to disruption and the lack of respect. The other clubs share respect of each other and Liverpool have been ostracised due to their dreadful behaviour - Arsenal have decided to join them in the football gutter. Constant attempts to blame others is pathetic.}

Ed002 what are your reasons for disliking Edu?

{Ed002's Note - He adds nothing to the club and was an embarrassment with the lady from Marseille last week.}

Ed I reported it that Arsenal would buy Partey last minute as a F U for not working with the straight up buy out clause. People here forgetting Partey didn’t want to sign a a new deal, athletico didn’t want to sell and the buy out clause was more than respectable. Also arsenal never got F over by other clubs, it’s always been between our club not getting the players on contracts and showing zero ambition.

I’d have preferred Arsenal just bought him earlier after the Martinez deal and tried to keep a good relationship with athletico a team known for producing talent.

{Ed002's Note - The club are trash.}

Arsenal tried to willingly negotiate with AM. AM say he will only leave if we pay his release clause. We pay the release clause and he leaves. Am I missing something here?
