Trying very hard to remain optimistic here, but it’s proving quite difficult.
I’ve said numerous times here that nobody, least of all us with the scatterbrained approach we’ve had to transfers in the last decade, have a divine right to success.
But you just know if Edu does actually make an offer it will be well below the 50M to begin with.
Plus it seems like a reactionary approach, where’s this plan we’ve been hearing was formulated last February after the failings in January?
You have people now talking about reintegrating Hector Bellerin because he’s better than Cedric, we can’t shift these players who need shifting and can’t attract players, barring Jesus who wanted out of City for first team football and knew he’d walk into our starting 11 with a hefty pay rise.
Vieira is unproven and can’t be seriously put into a conversation as a game changer so as of today, with preseason underway, we are looking at a CM pairing of Xhaka and Elneny for next months season opener.
No doubt the reaction will be that there’s loads of time left in the window, that’s not the point. We were here this time last year in the same position and our season was ended after the first 4 games, and ultimately cost us top 4.
This club under this current hierarchy just never learn.

The club is chasing their targets and of course, looking for players that improves the team.

Gabriel Jesus is a statement signing. One that changes the dynamics of our attack.

We are looking to get in a midfielder and a winger.

What else do you want?
