I'll give ye my opinion on what happened Yesterday with luis Suarez odds of joining us falling so dramatically. Pere guardiola Suarez agent lives in Barcelona where the betting started he wants his player to go to Madrid I don't think his brother would want him at bayern they are to well ballenced as club to want a liability like Suarez. So he gets people to put substantial bets on in Barcelona for Suarez to arsenal the odds tumble madrid fear arsenal have lost interest on GH and they finally allow him to talk to arsenal. Rm get 22 mill admit there not getting bale arsenal get GH Madrid use the money to get Suarez and pere guardiola makes a tidy profit on the money used in the bookies to get the ball rolling. Just a taught

In a strange way, this appears believable. Agents are tricky dudes, conceiving and deceitful. I like the idea it was all a ploy, which eventually gets us our man. come on Higgy. join the gunners and get that cannon firing :)

Very plausible, but I think it would be illegal if pere as his agent started all this to make a profit.

im not sure what to make of it anymore. it happened with higuain, bookies stopped taking bets and now we are on the verge of signing him.

some of us are overly optimistic that this could be a great summer for us, but if we manage to get suarez and higuain?

i'm ready to pay 5K for a season ticket. if anyone is willing to sell theirs.

The fact the betting took place in Spain got me thinking us here in Ireland and ye in the uk would bet on just about anything but I couldn't understand why there would be bets placed in Barcelona about a Madrid target moving from one English club to another they don't have that gambling culture
