This is a question for everyone but really I would like to hear what the Liverpool Eds, or anyone who has lived in Liverpool, think about this apparent Suarez deal?

Yes, it was 'not caught onside' (I don't know what gets filtered these days!) who released a Suarez story today saying we've agreed a deal, even though imo it sounds suspiciously low fee-wise.

I wasn't paying attention to that. But the Liverpool Echo have now come out with it too. Yes they say 'reports today suggest' but won't the paper have been printed last night? Even if not, from my time in Liverpool I got the understanding that this paper would never release a story like that without any truth behind it.

I'd be really keen to hear what people think about that. Thanks. {Ed052's Note - I don't know anything about a fee being agreed, yet. Anyway, there are a number of reasons why I think you should stay clear. 1) He's a hog, 2) Waste's loads of chances, 3) gives away loads of fouls, 4) gets loads of yellow cards, 5) and hence picks up lots of bans, 6) he is banned for the first 6 games, 7) he does something stupid once a year, 8) he will look a fool after talking about the press being a reason he would leave, 9) he would talk to the press far too much, 10) he would just want to leave soon after joining. That's only 10 points, why I don't think you should get him!}

Lovely to see the Liverpool fans suddenly hating on Suarez. Without him you will be lucky to make it in the top 10. You have no decent players left and a terrible manager. Also no player with real talent will sign for you as history means nothing to them. Players want Champions League football year in year out and that is what we give them. We may not have won anything in 8 years but we are still far superior to Liverpool in every way possible. {Ed052's Note - I'm not hating on Suarez, I've been fed up for some time with him. And when he said that we were no longer good enough for him, I felt sick. Chess, look here, you'll be eating shit loads of humble pie if we come 4th and you 5th. We're obviously going to egt top 10, its stupid to say we won't. How the 'f' are you better than Liverpool in every single way? Please, theres no need for ''my brooms bigger than your broom' Chess, we can have a sensible debate, without people name calling}

Ha, right-o! Lol thanks Ed. I get the feeling you really rate the guy!

But Ed I was more curious to know your take the Echo reporting that business? That's what I was getting at. When I lived there, it was clear the balance they tried to strike reporting honestly on both Everton and Liverpool equally. That report will have the whole sitting going spare. Just wondered what you think of all that?
Thanks again {Ed052's Note - He is agood player, we all know that. On his day, the 3rd best in the world. But the baggage which comes with him is too much. I don't quite see what your point is MG, but they do report equally IMO. The report about Suarez on their site is only a 'rumour' page, similar to the Beeb, where rumours are reported from elsewhere}

he better have a crazy year. because the pressure will get to them.
