Hi Gooners

What is wrong with Ian Wright? Can not believe it he said " If I was Suarez, I would give Liverpool another season". What the ****!

His whole life he played with Arsenal and now what he says is LFC is better choice than Arsenal! How can you say he is an Arsenal Legend? As player he played great, but when you retire after spending so many years at the, atleast speak words that will help the club get top class players. Ian, I think wants Arsene Job I guess!

Really what he spoke of, is true, but to say LFC is better that AFC is something of a shock. When we are trying to get Top Quality players, words like these really won't help, specially from an ARSENAL SO CALLED "LEGEND". Ridiculous

Loaded Gunners!

At no point did he say Liverpool were better than Arsenal as you are hinting. What he is getting at is that Liverpool are a better project than Arsenal, more potential for success in the near future with the way the two clubs are currently being run.
He is 100% correct. Arsenal are better than Liverpool. But, Liverpool have made very shrewd signings that have improved their squad. With players like Coutinho, Sturridge and Suarez should he stay they have better goal scoring options than we do.
At the back they look relatively strong as well, Agger is a very good CB.
What he is saying, and he is correct, is that if the two clubs continue to be run how they are, Arsenal believing in the youth, and Liverpool progressing by signing players then Liverpool are the club Suarez should play for out of the two.
Don't kid yourself, the current Liverpool squad is as strong as the current Arsenal squad. Now, what Wrighty also said was Arsenal have realised in order to keep up, they need to sign the big names.
Should Arsenal start signing players like Suarez, like Fellaini, like Cesc, then Arsenal are the better option for Suarez. Whether we will make those signings, remains to be seen.
Sorry for the long post.

I don't get it really, every year he bangs on about how we are not challenging for the top players and we need to invest big bucks but as soon as we look likely to do with suarez who is world class and then he says arsenal isn't right for him. what actually does he want!

What he says is true.

Unless we strengthen elsewhere as well as sign Suarez, we will not win the league, or champions leage, and those are the 2 competitions that matter.

We have a chance with another defender, midfielder and creative/wide player. But otherwise the best we can hope for is 3rd in the league and a quater final place in the champions league.

He was my 'other' in the least favourite ex-gunners poll. I know he didn't leave like recent players have, but his public statements as an ex-player have been. unhelpful
