Could someone explain why Leverkusen could only go into United's group from pot 3, yet Dortmund, another German team, could go in ours when drawn later. I don't get it.

I too found this odd! Was it a mess up?

I think some teams can't play on tuesday and wednesday so that limits the groups they can join. I not sure about this though.
