Can't stand Mourinho, but any manager who can get nearly £80m for David Luiz and Romelu Lukaku deserves respect.

(Can understand Lukaku but Luiz for £50m?).

A pat on the back, yes. A word of praise, maybe. Respect? Hell to the NO!
Buying a talented player so someone else doesn't, paying none of his wages, loaning him out so some other club can further develop him and sell him on for a payout is the business that Chelsea choose to do. It helps balance their books but it's hardly anything to be proud about.
The only justifiable positive response one can display (mostly for Chelsea fans) for this sort of dealing is the ashamed, guilt-ridden satisfaction one feels after eating a whole cake by yourself

Considering they had 29 players out on loan last season, hardly a surprise they turned a profit on one of them

I think Everton are very lucky to get Lukaku. He has proven himself everywhere he has been. To be honest I would not have been dissapointed if he had joined us.

Agree Golds, I would have loved him at the Arsenal but Jose would never have allowed it.

If Chelsea's transfer policy is so wonderful, can anyone explain them selling Matic as a £4 million makeweight in the David Luis transfer to Benfica, only to buy him back again for £21million 18 months later.
