Arsene Wenger reminds me of a 2nd hand car dealer. getting rid of players at the right time when the engine is going and not taking players back. how many of us were crying out for cesc to come back. ozil seems like a Ferrari compared to cesc who's legs have gone. henry, veiria, overmars, petit weren't the same players after they left us. Wenger should get some credit for that. arsene "Boycie" Wenger. Where is the clapped out rvp. hardly robin reliant.

Cesc was amazing last year and so was hazard matic etc. Theyl be fine next season I reckon under a new manager. This season is over though surely for them.

If real Madrid come in for hazard will he be sold? i'm sure they will bid this summer.

Sligo gooner makes a fair point. Wenger has an uncanny knack of knowing when to get rid of players. He has made and saved the club a fortune over the years, especially when it was needed during the change of stadiums.

Agree with Sligo

Hazard never played for us Derby lol

Cesc was good, but nowhere near amazing. That's a strong word there Derby :)

Nasri Clichy Tuore Cesc The Dutch bloke what did any of them ever achieve once they left Arsenal?
They must kick themselves when they look at their medals compared to what they could have won with us!
I'm not having a go but let's keep it honest both ways.

{Ed001's Note - some guy called Cole failed miserably as well....}

Oh yes Ed I forgot about that mug he must be gutted with that silly medal collection and best of we saved the £5000 a week he wanted to stay.
As said not looking to upset anyone but there's been a lot of mistakes with players being let go and those who should never have been signed in the first place.
Its not all been pretty as some people are dressing it uo to be.

{Ed001's Note - it is certainly a mixed bag. especially odd to suggest the guy who kept hold of Diaby so long is good at making the decisions on when to offload players!

Arsenes fist 10 years were unquestionably brilliant but questions have been increasing rapidly over the 10 (almost) , Diarby Flamini Arteta Rosicky all are all good questions I'd like to ask Arsene why on?

{Ed025's Note - that executionist,s outfit does not suit you one bit G62, i really dont think arsene is accountable to many people least of all individual supporters mate..

quite a few players were kept far too long, bendtner springs to mind.

{Ed025's Note - sometimes we dont get to know the ful story eden, some may be kept as they are hard to offload and the club has contractual obligations, things are not as straight forward as some might suggest in these matters mate..

Totally respect that Ed025 mate although he does seem to talk to the liite posse who wait hours for him after each home game and answer their questions, don't think I will be joining them anytime soon though :-)
Arsene has and still does some excellent things for Arsenal football club but equally some of the stuff he does is totally baffling and very very frustrating.

{Ed025's Note - we dont see all that goes on at the club G62, the contracts some players have are like war and peace mate and have that many clauses in them that a philidelphia lawyer would struggle with them, i dont pretend to know the ins and outs but i do know its not as easy as people think to just offload a player..

None of us know the full story Ed mate but we do know Arsene quite happily says he was right not to sign a striker in the summer or anyone other than Cech come to that and it does seem every other club can find the player Arsene says are not available each and every season.
As said mate he's done some unbeliebly great things for Arsenal but he has made some glaringly obvious mistakes that all but he could or would see too.

{Ed025's Note - no manager is perfect G62, yours is still one of the best even though as you say some of his dealings can be baffling at times mate..

If you were to ask any football supporter from every football club, I'm sure they could list at least 3/ 4 players that they feel should not be at the club for one reason or another. "Too old/ legs are gone/ too injury prone/ etc etc etc.

Part and parcel of football I'm afraid.

To be fare on wenger, he signed 3 world class players in the last 3 years. I'm with he shoyld've signed an out field player last summer but for some reason god knows why he thought that our players will stay fit the whole season. For our club record he should have seen this coming.
As for before come on guys we had denilson, chamak, and lord bendtner what else could you ask for lol.

No offense but Arsene sold players when they had reached their peak eg. 28/ 29 years old. They've all pretty much gone on and won titles. Looking at them now 3/ 4 years down the line, of course they're not likely to be great anymore as they're all in the decline of their careers eg. 32/ 33 years old.

Would I have a 29 year old RVP who scored 30 goals in a season right now? Of course. Would anyone want a 32 year old RVP, definitely not. If you want a true reflection of whether Arsene sold players at the right time you need to look at what they went on to achieve the year they were sold and the year after only. Looking at a player 4 years or more after you sold them and the club who bought them has moved them on won't give you an accurate reflection.

Since Fabregas was sold, barring this current season, he's averaged around 10 goals and 20 assists per season and won
2 league titles, 6 cups and the euros with spain.
