guardiola is a far better coach than wenger. guardiola could have played with reserves and still smashed us because our players are never motivated and i think that is solely down to the manager. coaches like guardiola and conte seem to be to cultivate that kind of hunger and desire in players something wenger can't (remember 3-2 defeat to man united last season).

if you watch football keenly and have been watching guardiola's teams over the last eight years there is one thing you will notice, they may not win all their matches but even if they lose they at least try. i.e press the ball put pressure on the opponent etc. wenger has been left behind by his peers.

one thing that always annoys me about wenger is that he always blames referees. how is it the referees fault that we were utter rubbish in the second half? wenger never blames his players, he is simply out of touch. wouldn't mind a new young coach.

Guardiola at Bayern. Yes.
Guardiola at Barca. Yes.
Guardiola at City. Really?

{Ed025's Note - the thing is that pep has never had to build a side, they have always been handed to him on a silver platter, im sure even you could manage those 3 clubs dags with the players he has had at his disposal.. :)

He built his own Barcelona team in a way. Got rid of ronaldinho who is probably one of the best players ever. Saying that guardiola isn't a great coach is simply an insult to his genius. One thing he does is that he gets the maximum out of players. If he notices that you are not putting in a 100% effort he drops you something wenger doesn't. I have never seen wenger on the touchline shouting at his players. Even when they are playing rubbish he sits on his seat busy with his coat zipper. Anyybody with knowledge of basic human psychology knows that motivation is either one that comes from within or from the enviroment. You don't need to motivate someone like sanchez o coquelin but guys like walcott and ozil you got to give them some stick that is how they will perform something wenger never does. Who used to remember ferguson subbing players in the first half or his hairdresser treatment? It used to work because some players only respond to fear and not love, something wenger seems trouble comprehending. He is too soft on his players.

Everyone used to champion mourinho's ruthless attitude towards players careers until it didn't work anymore.

Pep isn't from the same mould as him and has infinitely more class granted. But Barcelona were in a transitional phase when he took over. Eto'o and ronny were known problem players way before guadiola took over too. He also had the best player in the world come to the fore whilst he was there.

He also reportedly bowed to messi's demands to play in the middle at Zlatan's expense. If the decision works it's a genuis move (which granted it did) , if it didn't he'd have been classed as out of his depth.

For me arsenal's biggest issue is experience at big events. Since Czech signed he calmed us down a lot at the back. Arsenal look like a team scared of how hey know they can play. If le coq (random example) had the experience and calming Measure of say andrea pirlo I believe it galvanises everyone with confidence a little more.

Arsenal are and will continue to build. Stadium is good. League position is good (by anyone but a fews standards) and infrastructure is good. 1st team squad is good, staff are good, there are no glaring holes. Just a need for constant improvement, the rate at which will determine where we finish in the league I imagine.

half of an eventful season to go yet.

We are not going to improve with wenger at the helm simply because he has been doing the same things for the last 12 years over and over again. I can really predict everything he will say after every big game that we lose i swear and i am not making this up. i am no genius or anything, but i was preety sure that during the start of the season that liverpool will beat us and that wenger would say we lost because our players were not fit. Well why weren't they? why were the liverpool players fit and ours were not? his excuses are laughable. I was preety sure that after yesterday's game that wenger will blame the referee and say his players were fatigued. well city play the same number of games like we do, how come they are not fatigued and we are? If he knows that we have a busy schedule, how come he did not rotate his players? . Was it the referee's fault that we were rubbish yesterday for like 45 mins? His excuses are shocking and i am tired of them because i have been hearing them for the last 12 years. Our team lacks a leader. We need a new coach and there are some really good coaches around. it is not like there are no quality coaches around. On top of my head i can think of jardim, tuchel, montella, sampaoli and even marcelo bielsa himsef think he still has no job. Even a combination of patrick viera and henry wouldn't be bad. Bottom line we need a new coach.
