So Allegri has said he may take a year off, maybe he could replace Emery after 19/ 20 season 🤣 obviously depending on how Emery does next season! But he did sign a 2 year deal with an option of a third. Dreaming i know 😉.

Fingers crossed we can only dream.

{Ed002's Note - Allegri will not be joining Arsenal.}

Why are you so sure Ed? Did we burn bridges when we appointed Emery?

{Ed002's Note - I cannot be expected to justify why people won't be joining Arsenal - particularly those where there is no interest.}

Ed002 also said he doesn’t understand the problem Arsenal and Chelsea have of getting to Baku and why the fuss.

We have a fine manager in Emery, who despite being left a squad in decline, finished a place higher than the previous season, with more points, closed the gap on top place and reduced the gap between us and the Toot from 14 points to a solitary point, whilst reaching the EL final, providing the possibility of a trophy and qualification for the CL in his first season. There is even talk of Emery being on Barcelona's list to take over as manager.
Alegri has a fine record, but whether that would transmit from winning the league consistently with Juventus in Italy, to being capable of rebuilding Arsenal, with an extremely limited budget would be interesting.
Many will disagree with me, but if Emery were to be replaced, in the short term it would be Mourinho for me. He is a serial trophy winner, and would ruffle feathers above, which is needed for Kroenke to open the purse strings.
A EL win would provide Emery with a higher budget and I can envisage us cathcing the Toot and Chelsea, who were only one and two points above us. Cathcing Man City and LIverpool will require either heavy spending or the patience to alllow Emery to build his squad over the next 2 or three seasons.
