Our away form has taken a sudden and dramatic down turn in recent years resulting in us switching from champions league regulars into the Europa league regulars.
Our away form league positions are
2011 12 1st
2012 13 3rd
2013 14 2nd
2014 15 2nd
2015 16 3rd
Xhaka Mustafi are signed
2016 17 6th
2017 18 10th
2018 19 10th
Obviously neither player joined with the intention of having such a negative impact but the results and performances have both taken a dramatic down turn since they joined us.

Our away form has been awful the past couple of years but you can’t just single out Mustafi and Xhaka, it’s a team effort . Aubameyang and Lacazette were signed in this time period aswell, is it their fault also? or is it just a coincidence lol.
We have been awful away from home simply because we have been poor as a team. Not because we signed Mustafi and Xhaka lol.

Fair comment but we dropped out of the champions league after 22 years the season Xhaka and Mustafi arrived long before Lacasette and Pea arrived.
The first thing I noticed about Mustafi when he arrived was how he constantly stopped and looked at the linesman for a flag rather than chase back to help win the ball back when teams attacked us, then it became regular feature that every time he gave the ball away especially when it resulted in us conceding he always had a go at a tram mate to blame rather than put his hands and admit his own mistakes.
With Xhaka it didn't take long to realise he couldn't tackle without committing a foul and how often he gave the ball away especially in dangerous positions which often resulted in us conceding soft needles goals plus almost identically to Mustafi he didn't seem to possess the mentality to want to redeem his mistakes by getting back but simply watch what happened next and hope a team mate or official would bail him out.
I personally don't think it's anything like 100% coincidental that our decline picked up speed dramatically with the their arrival, while of course it's not all their fault alone they are definitely part of the problem not the solution.

Those are probably the worst 2 regulars ( note regulars) I have seen for years at the club, you can sometimes get away with a weakness in midfield but not when someone behind the weakness is twice as bad.

Obviously Arsene see something in them before he bought them but its equally obvious he was wrong in his judgement of their premier league abilities.
I just find it difficult to accept that 3 years later we are still sticking with them after they have both struggled so badly for so long.
Maybe at a different club in a different league they could do ok but it's not going to happen in the premier league with Arsenal that's been proven over and over again.
